However, DO NOT use the 16personalities test to type yourself, as it goes on stereotypes, social behaviour and does not use cognitive functions. Instead, either use the mistype.investigator test, or type yourself using cognitive functions. While the 16p test may be accurate for some, it definitely is not right for most and is not a proper mbti test. (eg. i am an ESTJ, however in the 16p test i got INTJ, and i know many others who this happened to.)

I recommend that anyone who's not sure about their Myers-Briggs type look up the cognitive functions (if you've ever seen people mention “Se/Si/Ne/Ni” and “Fe/Fi/Te/Ti” in MBTI discussions, those are the abbreviations for the cognitive functions). It actually explained why I usually come up as an INTP on tests but when I'm stressed I come up as an INFP. 😛

fun fact, the mbti actually measures cognitive functions! it’s usually best to take the test on keys2cognition or research the 8 functions yourself since the 16personality test doesn’t measure this and often mistypes ppl, but otherwise i love these designs. the intuition girl is my favorite :)
For anyone that does want to look deeper into typing, I'd highly recommend looking into function stacks and shadow functions. You'll get a much better understanding of MBTI and how it is that a certain type functions. This stuff is a little more complicated than being an INTP one day then being an ENTP another.
Istg I get pissed when people talk about it and don't look into it deeper and that's why they think it's inaccurate even if you can manage both traits of something doesnt mean you don't have a preference

The Meyers Briggs actually isn't determined by the letters! its moreso determined by your core functions, these being Ne/Ni/Se/Si/Te/Ti. I highly recommend some basic research on these, they're very interesting!!!!!!!!
I honestly couldn’t figure out my type because I was using the online tests, but once I actually studied up on the functions I realized how overwhelming my Fi was. If anyone has a difficult time figuring out your type but are still interested in MBTI, I would recommend studying up on the functions!

I totally agree! I've been super invested in MBTI lately, and I found that if you type by functions (like the sakinorva.net test) it's WORLDS more accurate than the 16personalities MBTI test. I was mistyped as INFP by 16personalities- I'm actually an ENFP (enneagram 6). I always felt like something was off about my INFP typing, and well, now I know why! It's a very fun subject and it's especially fun when you know enough about functions to explain your friends' MBTI types to them (with their permission, of course), because that way, you get to know them better too. :)
Try to see if your energy charges or depletes when around other people. Some MBTI types seem like extroverts when they're actually introverts (ex.: ISFJ, INFJ) and vice versa (ENTP, ENFP). My ISFJ friend is very loud and talkative and can get along with basically anyone, but at the end of the day she really prefers being alone and doing relaxing stuff like drawing, all by herself.

Actually the I or E isn't about being an introvert or extrovert. It plays into the 8 primary functions and whether your dominant function falls into Extrovert or Introvert. Infact talking about the 8 principles you narrowed it down to two. In your case of being IN just means that Introverted Intuition is your primary function. Meaning Extroverted Sensing is your sensing second of the functions. On top of thinking and feeling, it actually also follows what your introverted or extroverted function of the two is. Intuition and Thinking are both your introverted functions. Meaning your Sensing and Feeling are both extroverted functions.

My top "career cluster" (field I'd work best in) is actually art, animation, and creativity! There's even a personality test on it paid by our school. I'm an infp =) there's also setting goals you want to accomplish, good colleges for you, etc! It's cool bit nobody else at my school likes it lol

16 personalities isn’t really a good way to find out your mbti, i recommend some free cognitive function tests or one that’s more detailed. I found mine through a lot of digging, one test isn’t really enough.
yup it's not even an mbti test, it takes multiple other personality theories and blends them with the mbti dichotomies, taking multiple tests is the best way to go _(unless you end up accidentally hyper fixating on mbti and carl jung like me and go through way too many hours of videos and websites explaining everything in too much detail)_

I honestly couldn’t figure out my type because I was using the online tests, but once I actually studied up on the functions I realized how overwhelming my Fi was. If anyone has a difficult time figuring out your type but are still interested in MBTI, I would recommend studying up on the functions!

I totally agree! I've been super invested in MBTI lately, and I found that if you type by functions (like the sakinorva.net test) it's WORLDS more accurate than the 16personalities MBTI test. I was mistyped as INFP by 16personalities- I'm actually an ENFP (enneagram 6). I always felt like something was off about my INFP typing, and well, now I know why! It's a very fun subject and it's especially fun when you know enough about functions to explain your friends' MBTI types to them (with their permission, of course), because that way, you get to know them better too. :)

Try to see if your energy charges or depletes when around other people. Some MBTI types seem like extroverts when they're actually introverts (ex.: ISFJ, INFJ) and vice versa (ENTP, ENFP). My ISFJ friend is very loud and talkative and can get along with basically anyone, but at the end of the day she really prefers being alone and doing relaxing stuff like drawing, all by herself.

@@zarihanssen659 Extraverts aren't loud people and introverts aren't quiet anti social people, Introverts get drained when they are around people, they can socialize ofc like everyone but need time to themselves, extraverts are the opposite. and nobody is just introvert and just extrovert it's like a spectrum. introverts normally have a higher level of neuro chemical stimulation going on in their brains. Thus, they are normally over stimulated and try to tone things down

Actually the I or E isn't about being an introvert or extrovert. It plays into the 8 primary functions and whether your dominant function falls into Extrovert or Introvert. Infact talking about the 8 principles you narrowed it down to two. In your case of being IN just means that Introverted Intuition is your primary function. Meaning Extroverted Sensing is your sensing second of the functions.
On top of thinking and feeling, it actually also follows what your introverted or extroverted function of the two is.
Intuition and Thinking are both your introverted functions. Meaning your Sensing and Feeling are both extroverted functions.

My school has this "college and career readiness" lesson every Wednesday, and we pretty much do lessons n stuff to learn about ourselves. My top "career cluster" (field I'd work best in) is actually art, animation, and creativity! There's even a personality test on it paid by our school. I'm an infp =) there's also setting goals you want to accomplish, good colleges for you, etc! It's cool bit nobody else at my school likes it lol

16 personalities isn’t really a good way to find out your mbti, i recommend some free cognitive function tests or one that’s more detailed. I found mine through a lot of digging, one test isn’t really enough.
yup it's not even an mbti test, it takes multiple other personality theories and blends them with the mbti dichotomies, taking multiple tests is the best way to go
_(unless you end up accidentally hyper fixating on mbti and carl jung like me and go through way too many hours of videos and websites explaining everything in too much detail)_
It's better to learn by searching the info about the congtive functions that doing tests, it doesnt really take much time

@@the_real_tabby I've actually typed correctly multiple times as an ESFP but I believe that is because I answered the right way, the last time I got typed ENFP but I 100% know I'm not an ENFP The test is designed in such a way that if you don't answer in such a specific way you'll get mistyped and there are so many overthinkers and biased people out there that it isn't super reliable if you don't know what the functions actually do
