    You are CRAZY creative…such a great idea to showcase your anthuriums/use vertical space! “An anthurium tree b@&$h”…I was dying when that popped up on the screen!😂🤣Haha
    Can’t wait to see your new plant room! I’m reorganizing my plant room this weekend too.
    And HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAVE!!! Hope you enjoyed the Holiday!

      @@AroidDistrict I hope you’re right because I’m TOO READY to be done with my plant room reorg. Say a prayer because right now my plant room is walking a fine line between “straight on struggle” and a “hot ass mess”!!! 😂🤣Haha

    I’m definitely inspired.
    Love this!
    Breaking it down, one of the benefits is to make use of vertical space.
    The branch adds a natural element.
    This approach helps you display your plants so the look more like they do in nature.
    I wonder if it would make sense to hang rods out from the wall (mounting them like people do with flags). *I’d probably paint the rods the color of my walls. The idea being you aren’t dependent on the branch(es) for structure.
    Then put notches or screws in the rods to make it possible to secure plants you hang off them.
    Use the branches to fill in behind the plants. This would create a natural backdrop and could obscure the rods/mounts so you’re mostly seeing plants and branches.
    I’m digging drain-less so I’d consider using glass orbs for the pots.
    Thank you.

    I think it would also be pretty cool to get some smaller seedlings or starter anthuriums and plant them directly into the moss where the branches meet the stem!! So many things that you could play around with in this project!

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That would be the ultimate idea...especially on a larger branch. I'd prob have to water daily but I wanna try it.

    💚the organic look of the stick/moss. Would the ceramic pots that you make be too heavy to use to cover the plastic cup? Another idea; the plastic cup could be wrapped with jute cord, and it would carry the theme you have started with the new hanging lights. I like the space saving idea of this project very much. You hit this DYI out of the park, Dave.

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s beautiful what a genius idea. One of the reason I don’t have any hanging baskets is because I don’t want to put any holes in the walls, I just don’t like how it looks your tree is a great alternative.

    Great idea! I didn't understand what you were doing at first. But the final "tree" looks cool and a great idea for us that need space for more plants. I don't know if I could build one like you did. But it has definitely inspired me to find vertical hanging solutions.

    • @AroidDistrict
      @AroidDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AroidDistrict yeah I was thinking of a moss pole that's wrapped with PVC wire fencing and tied together with zip ties(just like Sydney Plant Guy) and a PVC pipe in the middle for the support and structure. I'd strap the plants with twine and wire. For your project in this video, I would've strapped the cups with zip ties to avoid the task of drilling but both would work great for sure!
