These bikes are VERY comfortable and that 90 degree V twin is bullet proof. 😎

Damned impressive all-rounder. My main concern is the apparent lack of a centre stand. I had one put on my CB500F. Events proved that to be an inspired decision.

I got one from Amazon and the brackets were wrong. Both sets were in the pic but unfortunately I got the wrong ones. What a disappointment.

Wash, rinse, repeat. Same old Vstrom for the past 7 years, with some minor updates. Love the Vstrom 650XT. I owned one for 4yrs, but its dated. Spend a bit more and go the Honda Transalp which is lighter and more power plus 21" front.

Spend a bit more?? The Transalp is double the price of the V-Strom where I live.

21" front wheel would be good off road but not so good on road. V-strom's 19-17" wheels are great on the twisties.

If the simply put 3 upgrades on this thing, then it would be a front runner (for me anyway) 1. long(ish) travel USD front forks, 2. A modern tft dash, and 3. LED lights all round, then I'd be looking at nothing else except this. it just seems like old stock they're still trying to flog, for a grand too much. IN MY OPINION. 😂👍🏻

Front forks are 1980's technology. Pure garbage compared to what Suzuki is putting on the V800 and V1050.

Please explain how the front forks are "less advanced"
      Than any other budget bike
Do you think the MT07 is 1980's tech?
      Verys 650?
      Honda CB650?
Are all cheap bikes "1980's" tech in your eyes?
You sound like you NEED öhlins active forks in order to ride in a straight line
      go buy that then lmao
I'v outridden plenty of BMW's on my V-strom, completely stock
Get better at riding my darling.

Me gustan los medidores analógicos, no quiero nada digital. Ni pantallas de colorines gays, esta moto tiene el equilibrio perfecto entre lo clásico y lo moderno, con la electrónica justa necesaria.

Halogen headlights? Conventional non-cartridge, non-adjusting front forks? They neutered what could have been a great motorcycle.

Halogens are better in fog and rain. LEDs just scatter more and less usable. It's actually a smart move by Suzuki

@@barun9665 Yes brilliant move from Suzuki because 99% of us are riding our motorcycles in the fog and rain? If halogen lights are so wonderful why did Suzuki not put them on their newest V800, V1050 or other high-end bikes. Let me know if you can find replacement halogen bulbs for my V1050 or T700. Face it the V650 is a forgotten turd by Suzuki otherwise they would have updated the bike years ago.

I know from experience. LED lights are not all that they are cracked up to be. They look nice many times, but can be problematic. That being said, my dream bike has always been one of the BMW GS models. I have owned 3 motorcycles and 4 years ago, instead of getting a F700GS or F750GS from BMW, I bought a new V-Strom 650 Adventure bike. (I am a 5’ 7” rider with a 30” inseam.) All I can say is…what an absolutely wonderful machine. It has gone way beyond my expectations of a pleasurable ride. And it is much cheaper in price. I honestly would not trade my V-Strom for the BMW even if it was an even trade. Simply because it already gives me complete satisfaction when riding it, and it is so very reliable, and servicing is much cheaper. Everyone is welcome to their own opinions, but for the average public out there interested in a nice all around bike, I would recommend at least trying [test riding] someone’s V-Strom.
