      Hell yeah. I think with Joe's curiosity and moderate knowledge of health and fitness would provide a great platform for a guy like Stan. Not only that, but many of JRE's audience is a fan of Stan, himself! Make it happen, Smelly!

    I've been to South East Asia, Thailand. It's hot and humid and you sweat like crazy. They do this thing called salty lemonade, it's literally juice with salt added. There's also a dish that's basically slightly unripe mango with a little vinegar added and you add salt either sprinkling on it or using the mango like a chip and dip in some salt. Mango has tons of potassium etc. They aren't inventing this stuff if you look at cultures that have been around forever they've been doing these things for a thousand years or more sometimes because they worked.

    I appreciate how at the end of the video these guys provided a very rational idea of why most fail at this stuff (lack of compliance). I would like to suggest the idea that perhaps we take that one step further and ask why there is such a lack of compliance. As someone who has traveled to 17 different countries, i believe it has everything to do with a persons realtionship with food. Most people here in the United States have a very poor relationship with food for several reasons. First, they don't respect the nourishing value of real wholesome fresh foods. Next, most people associate food with either a "functional prupose" or with a negative and stressful event in there lives. Think about this for a moment. How many times have you seen someone who is angry or stressed out grab food that they know is bad for them but, at that moment does not care? Do that enough and now you have a programed habit. I am willing to bet they didn't say "Man i am so mad i want grass fed beef, rice, veggies with lots of salt on it". No, they grab the crappy, processed foods that provides no true nourishment to them. I have observed in many other countries the love and respect for both food and tradition because this is how they were raised and it is what they know. Take parts of Italy where homeade farm to table wholesome fresh food is prepared and enjoyed together with family. Here all we do is accociate food with stress and how fast we can eat it to move on to the next project. Food for thought (pun intended)

    so the popular theory of today is that the lower omega 6 to omega 3 ratio is, the "healthier" a man will get(in general). Stan said chicken has 17:1 omega 6 to omega 3 ratio. and beef is 4:1. i wonder if he miss spoke there or not cuz isnt beef famous by full of omega 6?. im a huge fan of both of you. just tryna make sure whats the ratio here and yes im a big fan of beef too.

    • @wiltchambers
      @wiltchambers 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When he's talking about the 4:1 ratio for beef, he's referring to grass-fed beef. The typical grain-fed beef has ratio of ~20:1.

    • @wellok7860
      @wellok7860 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thx man. wow gotta figure out what meat should i go for now....i want the get as close to 4:1 as possible and i want not too expensive beef at the same time...lifes hard

    • @bryanscruggs7566
      @bryanscruggs7566 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Simply not true. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2846864/ The results in this in depth research shows that grass-fed ratio's in grass fed beef have 1.53x the amount omega-6 to omega-3 while grain fed beef has 7.65x the amount of omega-6 to omega-3. It is certainly higher, but not 20x the amount.
      And think about it, why would he compare soy fed chicken to grass fed beef? Even with a cow, you have to feed it a certain diet for it to grow and live somewhat healthy. You can just put a bunch of chickens in a cage, feed them soy and corn and kill them in a couple months. Commercial chicken is pretty nasty, and is always going to be lower quality and have a lower quality fatty acid ratio as a result. I am sure that organic pasture raised chickens have a much better fatty acid profile (if you don't know any farmers), but it probably still wouldn't be a 1.53 ratio even if they were eating grass and worms all day. Cows actually have a pretty good fatty acid profile either way.

    I never understood this discussion about too fat ground beef. How hard is throw away all the fat after cooking?? If you want to be really hardcore you can was cooked ground beef in the water and decrease fat content to zero basically.. Like Mark is doing in this video th-cam.com/video/Bra8EB2zYKQ/w-d-xo.html

    The science doesn’t support moderate soy consumption increasing estrogen. Same with moderate egg consumption not increasing your cholesterol.

      Kyle Ruth keep studying or better yet experiment. Soy is the laxt thing muscle building athletes should use at all

    • @KyleHUNK
      @KyleHUNK 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greg Foster It has already been experimented with. Moderate egg consumption doesn’t increase your cholesterol even though eggs have cholesterol in them. Moderate soy consumption does NOT raise your estrogen or lower your testosterone. Any amount of processed milk or processed breaded chicken will lower your testosterone though. That is a scientific fact.

    • @XFitness4LifeX
      @XFitness4LifeX 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are a fucking moron.
      Consuming 2 scoops of soy protein powder decreases serum testosterone levels by 20% within 4 weeks in healthy men.
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17416779
      Dietary cholesterol has no impact whatsoever on blood cholesterol you idiot.
      Anybody who has taken an undergrad course in Biochemistry could tell you that. Fuckboy.

    • @Jmack7861
      @Jmack7861 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tony false. Don’t forget there is also a difference in free testosterone and serum testosterone and free testosterone doesn’t matter. If it reallly raised your estrogen that much then why doesn’t every Asian man have gyno?

  • @Ainttrippin

    Bodybuilding is NOT healthier than powerlifting. You need to cut as much weight and water as possible and take steroids just to have a chance to be competitive.

    • @oneillfitness
      @oneillfitness 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bodybuilding is healthier, competing isn't.
