Europe's elite is in Washington and it has been like that for quite a while. This is an immigrant country. Only recently some immigrants are not welcome. It's the Western civilization what they support, including Washington. Many of Congress members are first generation naturalized Americans. And it has been like this for a long time.
However; some other groups are only actively participating recently and with some gaps in time.
The Computer age is what has changed this because some not exactly Europeans are actually better in math and in computer science. Today, all brains are needed.

The difference here is that China trades with other countries for the natural resources that it needs, which means it buys them. The US simply overthrows governments around the world to install its puppets into these governments in order to steal their natural resources since once its puppets have been installed the US would be able to steal these countries’ natural resources since these US’s puppets would do anything that the US tells them to do! Is it a wonder why whenever a country is able to kick a US’s puppet out of its government and able to gain some measure of independence from the US, it chooses to do business with China rather than the US?

Which is also a myth in itself as average Americans have to bear with increasingly high expenses, simply just to meet some of their essential needs such as healthcare among the other things.
On top of that, they're lacking the financial security necessary to sustain high living standard, having to compromise some luxuries and even some basic needs in order to save up for the essential, despite what others would boast about the country's average quality of life.
Even worse when you also put into perspective the amounts of wealth they have to reap off of the Global South in order to sustain their own people (in the minimum sense), having to keep most of the Global South underdeveloped and/or stagnant a.k.a unable to ascend into the next stage of their capitalist development phase (in a sense of moving toward a potential socialist transition).

A display on Pacific Coast Northwest Indians showed objects from an annual ceremony called a Potlatch where the wealthy redistributed wealth to the poorer members of the society. This action stablized their society. Progressive taxes were supposed to accomplish this in USA but Republicans didn't want to pay starting in the 80s especially. So how are we going to get this Debt Jubilee? It would really save their lives, too...

41:21 "... someone as anti-China as Bolsonaro...on the books, the relationship between Brazil and China were great..."
This is why Scott Morrison in Australia was so baffling. Of all countries in the world, Australia benefited the most from trade with China. And Morrison wrecked it!

One thought I had; If anyone has had the misfortune to work for a privatised energy company, or a telco, you will be aware at just how long everything takes, just how badly managed they are, just how much waste is just normal. Through in half a dozen difference consultancy companies battling out and you have the money furnace from hell. I imagine that the US military is several times worse. Which means $1Trillion doesn't go as far as you think it should.

The Monroe doctrine, cold war, new cold war and imperialism seem to be well established...
Does anyone feel that we need to transition to the dire straights that Wall Street is in and why they *NEED* to dominate new markets to keep asset values high and for their very existence? Professors Desai and Hudson are discussing this issue in Ben Nortan's *Geopolitical Economy Report* youtube channel.

Excellent analysis but for the military spending of China, India, Russia and so on. If you calculate the military expenditures on the basis of purchasing power parity, the combined military budgets of China, India and Russia is more than that of USA. US military expenditure, 85 per cent of it , goes towards salaries, administration, research and other intangible services.

Years ago I always write off military coups in other countries as incompetents and dysfunctions of given countries' people s, now I'm highly suspicious of US involvement in those of events! And realize our involvements have nothing to do with concerns for given country's wellbeing ( freedom, democracy etc. ) but our own in the form of cooperations involvement in extraction of resource! I fully recognize as an US citizen, we benefits form these endeavors in the form of abundant and cheap goods for ourselves! Of course through these cooperations born the rich and powerful of our nations! It's not a new phenomenon, tactics may be different through our history, end goals are the same! That's why our foreign policies are alway consistent regardless of who's our leader Democrats or Republican it's our rich and powerful guide our leaders to our policies for so call national interests! I think it's time to shares our prosperity with rest of the world just as the riches share more of the wealth with ordinary people in our country!

The empire whose homeland is the US is composed of RENTIER economies, not service economies, where wealth is extracted rather than manufactured. Monopolies and the banks (FIRE, finance, insurance, and real estate) extract economic rent (unearned income), and the rentier oligarchy at the top of wall street dominates politics and the security apparatus.
Classical economists like Adam Smith explained that a free market is free FROM economic rent (collected by feudal land lords), not free FOR economic rent (collected by monopolies and the banks) as in neoliberal (Libertarian/Austrian/Chicago School) ideology. The American Empire is a neo feudal empire.
Debt grows exponentially (compound interest), while economies can not. Only since Rome have debts not been cancelled. This is because the debt is the wealth of the rentier oligarchy, as with Rome.
The southern border is full of refugees from rule by the rentier, or feudal, oligarchy, who are also in the process of cannibalizing the homeland.
Imagine if the interest you pay for your mortgage was being used for hospitals, schools, roads, public internet provision, etc., instead of going to the bankers.

    Debt trap myths:
    1. A country proposes its projects to investors (US, Europe, Asia, China). Whoever offers better deals win.
    2. US doesn't want to invest in Africa, because they're afraid that Africans won't pay back. (Chinese took the risk. But unlike the US China knew they won't lose--because building roads and bridges will bring about prosperity. They have this say, "To have success is to build a road there " or something to this effect)
