I know some game franchises that newcomers can start on. Sonic the Hedgehog franchise Mega Man franchise Spyro franchise Tekken franchise Kirby franchise Metroid franchise Crash Bandicoot franchise Ridge Racer franchise Street Fighter franchise The King of Fighters franchise Persona franchise Gran Turismo franchise The House of the Dead franchise
My first Yakuza experience was Yakuza 6, mostly because of the guest appearances from NJPW wrestlers and I had a really good time! Years later I spent even more time with Yakuza 0, but now I really want to try out the first Yakuza: Like A Dragon to get a feel for the turn-based combat.
I highly enjoy story driven video games, whether it’s a Fighting game or FPS. Doom (2016) may not be the most story driven, but I respect that it was meant to be that way for us players to immerse ourselves as Doom Slayer. Honestly, I hope to see more story details about Doom Slayer in The Dark Ages.
Dark Souls Series and Fallout Series and Just About Every Nintendo Series that's friendly enough for newcomers to start on the PS3 or on the PS4 or on the switch
Great list. While some of these franchises definitely have lore or references to other games, I’d agree with all of these. I might add the Assassins Creed series, while even though there are larger timeline connections and modern day overlap, each game is really its own thing (with the exception of the Ezio Trilogy).
I played the Phoenix Wright trilogy, the Great Ace Attorney trilogy and am currently playing through the Apollo Justice trilogy, all on Switch and having a great time with them all!
@@kenterminateddq5311 It's not made by Nintendo. In fact Nintendo had almost no involvement in it. Other spin offs or the Oracle games made by Capcom had more involvement with Nintendo.
the only real drawback for pokemon being easy to pick up at any point would be that it’s almost criminal how expensive the games are, of course this is rectified with emulation and flash carts but for those wanting to get into collecting the series legitimately, they better have a loan handy
The Elder Scrolls, Persona, Assassin’s Creed (Except the direct sequel to AC II), Red Redemption (since only 2 games here, you can either start in order (RDR2-RDR1), or starting RDR2 as a prequel story after playing RDR1 first)
Nah after ac3 you can do it but you need to play the previous games to play revelations to finish off ezios story and arguably know what’s going on with the modern day up until 3
I would add Sonic The Hedgehog series (except don’t play Sonic 06, Sonic Forces, and Sonic Boom Rise Of Lyric), Mega man and maybe Metal Gear Solid series.
10 video game franchises you can jump into at any point are these AWESOME video game series: Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet & Clank, Spyro, Super Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Sonic, Kirby, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda defienitily my favourite video game franchise Sly Cooper, Super Mario, Sonic Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda that I like some of these are in this GOOD video I LOVE your list videos MojoPlays make more these thank you and happy Gamescom weekend everyone! 😍🎮
Luigis Mansion is not one of these with the intricate character arcs, romances, dynamic endings, and an amazing open world with almost abstract platforming in the most beautiful way you have to be a true intellectual to understand the story if you dont start from Luigi's Mansion 1. Also Boo is cool.
I LOVE the warriors series. I started in the early 2000's with DW2. Then DW 3, 3 Xtreme and Warriors Orochi 2. I like to play them in order because Warriors Orochi 2 spoiled me a bit. So I went back to DW2 and just stopped because there wasn't enough content. I looked up DW1 and saw a fighing game and not really appealing to me. I went back to Samurai Warriors 1 and 1 Xtreme, DW4, 4Xtreme, 4 empires, 5, 5xtreme, 5 empires. I like to play them in order that they came out so I can see the progression of mechanics in the gameplay. My next one is Samurai Warriors 2.
@@newgameaaaa like you i liked to play the warrior series in order and to see the change on the mechanics and graphics I played DW2 and DW3 before playing DW1 and I'm glad they chose to change the virtua fighter style to hack n slash. I like the spin off Empire series. The other series of the warriors i used to like was Gundam. It'd be a dream if they did a collection or remake of them. I also like the Pirate Warriors series.
@@christopherwaddon6509 Oh yes I love all those style of games. They are in my back log. I look forward to them. I like learning of new games similar to the Dynasty warrior games like DW Gundam and Pirate Warriors. I think they can be referred to as the musou series of games. When I first played Final fantasy 7, I thought that was the most amazing game. Then I played all of those games in order. Yes they can be played in any order but I liked playeding them in order. My dream game would be Final fantasy warriors.
The only game on this list I enjoy wholeheartedly is "The Legend of Zelda: Game Franchise", Mortal Kombat Franchise, Super Mario Bros., & Metroid Prime series; everything else mentioned on this list not so much due to no interest in them whatsoever, & finding them to be dumpster fire garbage IMO;
I played Megaman 3, 5 and 6 back in the day. Then later I tried 1,2 and 4. I would like to play them in order so I can see the progression of the game mechanics. Megaman 1 you need a certain amount of points. MM2 I heard was the best. MM3 was my first and I loved it. I realized they started the slide mechanic in that one. Then MM4 now used a charge shot. I also played through almost all of megaman 8. I got stuck on the jump jump slide slide part.
@@newgameaaaa Megaman is very playable these days with the legacy collections. It’s so easy to get ahold of anything from the classic, X, Zero/ZX, or battle network franchises. X6, Maverick Hunter X and Zero being my first full introduction to the series.

Persona, except for the persona 2 duology, you can literally start from any of the mainline games and you aren’t bogged down with continuity lockout.
Surprised Persona was mentioned.
Pokémon is the game I got started with back in my childhood
Mine too Pokémon is life: Gotta catch them all!
Castlevania is a series you can jump into at any point, without playing the entire series of the war between the Belmonts & Dracula.
For the older pokemon games I just use my emulator they are still by far the best in my opinion.
Fun fact, most of the issues that caused the great war in fallout have been happening in the real world we live in.....

This is a great idea for a video, and I'm very glad you made it. Thanks, Mojo Plays.
Glad you liked it!
i loved the older Pokemon games and for the GTA series 3 VC and SA are must plays
Awesome list 🎮 I always back to Forza, silent hill , call of duty, splinter cell, all GTA,Red Dead 1 and 2,La Noire too ,Mario series

As a hardcore Zelda fan, the timeline is really beside the point. Just play any you like. Or all of them. Yes, all of them would be good. 😊
I played the Phoenix Wright trilogy, the Great Ace Attorney trilogy and am currently playing through the Apollo Justice trilogy, all on Switch and having a great time with them all!
I haven't seen the video yet but I'm guessing Final Fantasy and the Souls series is on here.
Edit: To be fair, they are cliche choices.
Any Mario game you can jump in any point......but fighting games like Tekken or Street Fighter takes years to master....
Capcom does a decent job with putting older games on modern consoles. Sure there are big named games missing but still better than other companies
You can play The Legend of Zelda series at any point, Mojoplays?
I don't think any gamer should start the CD-i games at ANY point!!!
Doesn't count unless you count the fan made remaster which makes it tolerable.
@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 How is it not count when the CD-i games have Zelda or Link in the titles?

Definitely cannot jump into ratchet and clank at any point
I know a game series that newcomers should start on. It is the Streets of Rage franchise.
You contradicted yourself with Ace Attorney
I love final fantasy xiii
I do too! One of my favorites!
I jumped into Pokémon when Black and White came out
Only me that thought that JUMP, meant u character can jump ? And not entering the franchise?
Fallout: new vegas has some of the best costume designs.
Dark Souls is too damn hard for me. I wish I didn't buy Lies of P.
11:27 Wait a minute you mentioned Zelda already.
The layup here would've been saying ANY sports franchise lol

Bayonetta since it only has three games. And the Nier series since their stories are different.
Cause the lores aren't linear
🤣😂Sooooooooo, pretty much any long running RPG franchise?
Here are games you can't jump in
Pokemon, dead space, yugioh, legend of Zelda(not counting BOTW)
I'm nearly 40 but I'm done with boomer shooter and gta (I've played them)haha especially as a christian and JRPGs for just for my own reason

Whoever made this has never played the souls series. Ds2 is pretty unanimously known as the easiest
Persona and red dead redampatiom
Tony hawk
I don't like the mainline final fantasy series but I love the spin off series.
Most game franchises are like that, the opposite is very rare.
FIRST!!!!!!!
Fifa/fc
Classic game cliches.
Kingdom Hearts
anything that is not Zelda.
skiping Elder scrollls was a sin
