Hey, so since I saw some confusion regarding the compilations I'll just clarify; these kinds of videos won't be super common. I just figured it would be a fun end of the year thing to do. Expect a new video in a week or two and then that's it for me until January. Take care, and happy holidays!
Dude I absolutely love this style of content sharing your own thoughts and enthusiasm is something that you are really good at, watching this makes me want to make my own video as I share a very big passion for the infamous series, but I'm still very awkward so I struggle to do it... But I don't think I could have made this any better than you did, because it comes from a place of genuine excitement and love for this series I'm sure this was very fun to make... Good Job!
Will you do a video on igi series? I realized after the igi origins trailer dropped not many people know a game series existed. The game is really old by the way.
I sort of like Second Son, but the fact Infamous 2's original canon ending was going to be the evil ending - Suckerpunch instead saw what endings people chose and went with the good ending leading to Second Son. I would've liked to see Cole survive Infamous 2, though a good ending would've been nice if Cole survived.
16:34 something interesting i found about picking the heroic poster. After you decide to choose the heroic poster, if you change your karma rank to evil, those posters end up being vandalized which is a pretty cool detail.
In the tutorial for inFamous 2, the game asks you to move the right stick to look up. Whether you tilt the stick up or down, the camera moves up. This sets whether you have inverted camera or not. True genius that 99% of people will never notice.
For sure! I was so sure the BluePoint Games were making a remake so many times and then it turned out to be other games. I am pretty certain there have been some failed attempts at doing a PS4 update of 1 & 2 that got canceled for some reason. I wonder if Sucker Punch doesn't want anyone else to make an InFamous game or if Sony are just complete idiots. It could be that Sucker Punch wants to someday go back and make a really great final game, but I wish they would allow some other studio to do a re-make/re-master of the previous games. I want any excuse I can to replay these games! :)
I actually like how Reggie’s final dialogue doesn’t change regardless of your karma rating. At the end of the day, Delsin is Reggie’s brother and loves him (as far as we know) unconditionally, so his last words would be to tell Delsin that despite how much Delsin’s messed up, he still views him as his brother and cares for him. This goes great with the game’s themes of brotherhood and family, which I think it handles exceptionally well. Another way to interpret the scene would be Reggie’s last attempt at getting Delsin to change his ways by showing him despite how far he’s gone, Reggie still cares for him and wants him to do the right thing. Also the dialogue where you decide to redeem Eugene, I think Delsin is putting on an act there, trying to be this cool older brother/best friend vibe in hopes it’ll give Eugene the push he needs to get out from his hideout. It is a bit out of character, but I think it shows how much he wants to be this cool and/or respectable figure for others, which is something a lot of us can relate to.
But if you think if you get to the infamous rank and all the acts you need to do to get there it doesn’t really fit, you’ve probs killed up to about 500 innocent people and your brother says I’m proud of you, it just kinda makes as the player feel like it doesn’t matter what you do cause it’s accepted, the only major difference is the ending
@@sjt3538 Yeah you could've had Karma rank specific quotes for Reggie whilst still having him show some degree of affection towards Delsin. Have him say something to the effect of "I still believe in you" with Evil Delsin, which would setup your final chance to revert to Good Karma with Hank's appearance ensuing. Having him indiscriminately say he's proud regardless of what he's done comes off as hilariously tone death in comparison to how Zeke or Trish react to your Karma rank in prior entries.
Here's my problem with this argument. As a man with siblings of his own, the whole "But they're brothers!" Card can only go so far until it starts to fall apart. At the point where Reggie dies, Infamous Delsin has killed HUNDREDS of people, has corrupted two conduits into killing hundreds of people with him, and has shown practically ZERO remorse for his actions, and Reggie's been pushing against Infamous Delsin at damn near every turn. So for him to suddenly go, "I'm so proud of you" at that point just makes no damn sense and makes it seem like Reggie flips his opinions on a dime. Speaking of opinions. Reggie's opinion of conduits shouldn't have changed if Delsin was evil. In fact, it should've worsened due to Delsin's actions, making him the one that fully shows the character the consequences of their actions. Hell, it would have been great if Reggie actually joined the D.U.P. because he began believing that Delain was going too far and needed to be stopped, further proving my point that the whole "brothers" excuse stops working after a certain point and that even blood relatives have a line you shouldn't/can't cross.
That makes the character feel like a robot without an actual brain. At some point a guy who chose to become a cop should switch to wanting to kill his mass murderer brother.
when I 'lost' my (me for example) own owned, literal PS3 console(s) a long time ago now these Days I mean....? [narrowed eyes a bit in confusion for the sudden disappearing 'liking' actions there on my first reply's here for a Second there]
I was really disapointed with Second Son tbh. All the different powers played really similar, and the very first power you get (smoke) is the most useful in nearly every situation, especially if you're playing with good karma, because you can just stun and delete large groups of enenemies extremely quickly with lethal and non lethal options. I would've preferred just having one powerset with much more fleshed out mechanics than 4 half baked ones. Smoke could've been a really interesting powerset if it was as fleshed out as lightning in Infamous 1 and 2.
@Cwavy_619 All hyperbole. Using Ad Hominems aren't points in of itself. You speak like all of that is objective. It's not. Plenty of people love the story of Second Son. First game of Infamous is *Infamously* flawed for example. I think you're looking on with rose tented goggles. And an unfair bias against the second son game, likely due to contrarianism and other popular opinion.
One thing I kinda hated about inFamous 2's ending is the idea that Zeke kinda just... Doesn't seem to care about Cole's safety beyond stopping the RFI being charged the first time. You choose to save all Conduits and he cuts all ties with you. You choose to save all Human, and he's all on board, but in the moment it kinda reads as selfish in an out of character way. Him wanting to sacrifice his life for Conduits would be a good way to round off his decision to try and get powers all on his own in the first game.
I never understood why people didn’t like the voice for Cole in the first game. His grungy, dark voice just fitted perfectly with the setting around him.
Honestly, with the style Infamous has, og Cole's voice is perfect for the game. As for Infamous 2, the voice for Cole is perfect for that style of the game, too.
Because that’s literally all he sounded like, a grunge. Too monotone. Cole had way more personality in two, and he didn’t sound like he smoked a pack of Menthols a day like he did in the first.
I pray we get remakes for these so we have up to date graphics and frames. The first two inFamous games are by and far my most favorite games ever created and I love them
❤ I LOVE THIS SERIES! Nix absolutely deserved a DLC i LOVED her character and her backstory was so intriguing that i cried when we had to stop her in one of the two endings lol
The inFAMOUS series holds a nice place in my heart, to me Cole Macgrath is one of my favorite PlayStation Exclusive characters of all time right next to Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series. And while not being Cole, I still enjoyed Delsin Rowe as a character as he’s pretty relatable with how he acts and such throughout Second Son. It’s honestly sad how Sony keep ignoring the series, and while Sucker Punch released Ghost of Tsushima which was a great game, to me..I’m hoping one day we can see inFAMOUS return in some shape or form. Maybe a remaster of the first two titles or maybe a new game entirely, continuing off of Delsin Rowe’s story or a new character entirely.
I personally like the fact that Delson's powers in Second Son feel half finished. They are not his powers originally and Second Light shows that the original users can use them more effectively than he can. Delson's power is simply the ability to absorb other's powers, but he can't use them to their full potential.
Yea, I always thought Delsin's conduit DNA didn't let the powers he absorbs be as strong as others to keep it fair for other conduits lol. Heck who knows, what if he has a certain power limit and that the next power he absorbs doesn't work or it replaces his oldest one? Smoke in this case.
I agree to a degree but with concrete it hurts gameplay. The others feel fleshed out but not as strong as the main user but concrete just feel bad to play.
I could argue a couple of things with Kessler. The cut scene with him going back in time, shows a device on his hand, so that could've help him. And him wanting cole to be stronger could be that he was so disappointed in himself for being weak, that he rather have a younger self be stronger then just kill john
I think Kessler never saw that John is the Beast in his original timeline. Kessler's manipulation changed how things play out leading to Cole seeing John in the second game.
Ah the funny thing about the last boss in that game is i already collected all the world shards so when u got her powers i just immediately leveled all the stuff up
I feel delsin’s powers being overall underdeveloped makes a lot of sense. Given his timeline and actions he didn’t have the opportunity for much besides combat. At the start of the game his powers are new to him and he’s scared of them. Right after he gets knocked out for a week and jumps out into Seattle with no practice or experimentation just trying to fight his way to the top tooth and nail. Unlike cole who took time to learn and control his powers out of necessity to just live day by day. Realistically delsin post game has all the free time to play around now and see what he really can do. Well post good ending because bad ending delsin is a walking disaster.
So your saying Trish dying is inevitable action. Your saying it's fate. A moment that is inevitable. 100% cannon you might say. Impossible to stop you say.
There is something about Infamous 2 that gets me latched on to this game. I never get bored of it, from its story to its gameplay. It is just the epitome of Infamous games.
I think Delsin's story was meant to be played in the neutral to semi good/bad karma. Starting in neutral, playing through most of the begining with infamy up until after corrupting fetch, and going 180° to redeem he who dwells. During the story the dialog doesnt change much but i think that strengthens the neutral/halfway bad then halfway good. Reggie says hes proud of you because at that point he knows you are trying your best to be better than you were at the start. And it makes even more sense with the story points too, hank comes and gives you powers, DUP show up and basically inflicts cruel punishment on your home for no real reason. Then you seek her out to fix it along they you obviously kill everything in yellow because no mercy for the merciless. Then fetch shows up and you help her kill drug dealers, and she moves on to kill inocents which is where you realize what your doing is exactly what the DUP did to your tribe. Just in time to meet Video boy and learning from the mistakes with fetch you choose redeem and thus starts your hero karma tree. You reach Reggie's death scene and he tells you he's proud of you because even though you struggled with what was right or wrong but you came through better. It also makes his orbital drop special where his face is more of a grimace hit even harder. He doesnt want to kill her and his face and animation shows that struggle. Those points in the story hit harder if delsin never reaches the max hero or villain and thats why i think it should be after that that you choose to max out your hero/villain role.
I like this interpretation of Delsin's journey. I think being able to craft your own version of the character is one of the best things about the morality system in the InFamous games. I know it wasn't perfect, but it was a really fun addition and I hope that any sequel we get someday will still allow us to make our own choices. Not only is it fun to sculpt the character, but it is awesome to replay the game and take the choices you didn't take the first time through and have a few new adventures!
@@TerranIV thanks i feel very strongly that the voice acting and visual cues almost completely supports my theory aswell so its nice that people like the idea. And personally with the way RDR2 chose to implement the honor system (no spoiler but that games story is amazingly well done in my opinion it should still be winning awards for its single player story). If they take their time and make different choices hit harder or have more of a permanent aspect to them, it will be the best infamous game by far. Just imagine an infamous second dawn where delsin has to now fight Fetch because of the choice you makde in second son, man that would be awesome indeed.
@@TerranIV and what really made me think up that theory was the last orbital drop. Until the last he smiles or smirks everytime he uses it except the last one when he makes the face of some one who has the weight of the world on your shoulders and have to make a choice whether ending her is the right thing because your angry or is sparing her right because reggie would have wanted too if he were there. In that one brief moment they conveyed an emotional roller-coaster so wild and crazy that the only way we'd get it is if we put our self i his shoes where he was forced into this role of hero or anti-hero. These guys honestly dont get enough credit for the visual stories that are told when there are no voicelines that would do it justice. Like rdr2 Arthur's death scene where he looks of at the sunset and it blurs into the deer or the wolf depending on karma and it ends the story before the ending even hits. Sorry im rambling my bad.
How to make Infamous 3. 1. Delsin is the main character. 2. Instead of having his powers work the way they did in second son, have it work like abilities rather then weapons to be switched from, And for goodness sake make the guy have some fun with his powers, let him combine it and make some weird shit out of it, concrete with smoke makes lava rocks or neon with video makes neon shields or something. Go bananas with the mixture. 3. Take out the choice system, either take it out or don't make it a "are you an asshole?" or "are you a saint?" bull. AND then 4. Profit???
The relationship between Zeke and Cole was my favorite part of the second game. I bought a ps3 just to play this game and despite everything else, the thing I remember the most was the line “I don’t call you brother cuz I like the way it sounds.” Damn that was a good game
A small thing, but the way Kuo got her powers were explained a bit. She was hooked up to the power transfer machine we use later in the game, connected to the ice conduits that were sealed in the same room. It's explained those ife conduits were given their powers forcefully through experimentation
My one complaint with Trish's death, is that she's not *just* unsaveable, but that she's specifically always on the tower that you aren't. If she was in some third location that you only found out about after, then that'd be fine- but the fact that the narrative has to do a Schrodinger's Cat and say you always chose The One Wrong Answer.
I'd hope for more of a remaster. A remake leaves room to change elements of the story and seeing a lot of modern interpretation of old franchise doesn't fill me with confidence.
@@arsonistchoir2187 The games kinda have plot points hideout explanation a remake like Dead Space Remake would be good, modern graphics, improve the based gameplay and complement the story and not change major plot
My one big issue with First Light was the way they did the whole drugs thing which was wholesale not what Second Son said happened. In Second Son the story was that she and Brent were addicts and the reason she killed Brent was because they ran out of their supply one time and her withdrawals made her paranoid and thus killed him because she thought he took them. It was a dark story about what hard drugs do to people and how they take over people's priorities and will even hurt people they love over them. Meanwhile in this she had no apparent history of voluntary drug use and got drugged once...? And then killed him because she was out of it and didn't know who he was...? It was done to her on purpose too. None of this should logically lead into her war on drug dealers, but for some reason it does according to the story. Drug dealers had nothing to do with what happened, she was just poisoned by some prick and her brother suffered for it.
yes!! this bothered me horribly because they threw away the better version of the story. why? were they afraid people wouldn't be able to sympathise with a(n ex) drug addict? made no sense to me honestly they already had a great setup
I don't mind the small retcon, because even though it was Shane who gave her the drugs, it wasn't any different drugs than she was on, and she did have a paranoid reaction and accidentally killed him. She then went on to kill a bunch of dealers because they were the ones who kidnapped Brent, which lead to his death. I agree it did take a bit of the edge off of her character that she didn't kill Brent out of anger, but out of confusion, but then we see her totally rip Shane apart and I think that was a pretty dark moment for her. Also, remember that in Second Son we saw how Fetch remembered the events, and then in First Light we saw it from a third-person perspective. It could be that she wasn't exactly sure how she got the drugs (maybe she had taken some drugs earlier and she thought that it was a strange trip that was brought on by a panic attack) and then she felt so guilty that she remembered her role in his death to be a bit more sinister.
Shane was head of the drug dealer gang, and they were they ones who kidnapped Brent. That is why she was so ruthlessly killing them in Second Son (in the ret-con version of the story).
@@TerranIV Hallucinogenics and addictive drugs like heroin are completely different. Killing him cuz she saw him as something else and didn't even know it was him is completely different than being so hooked on drugs you end up accidentally murdering your own brother over it. So, no I don't think that was a small retcon by any means and her general hatred towards drugs and drug dealers doesn't even make any sense in its context.
The shield in the first game felt like a godsend and the upgraded one refilled ur energy. I found myself using it endlessly, it also had a satisfying sound when stuff would hit it lol
I believe why Delson's powers seem less fleshed out is cause he just got them, such as the difference between Cole in InFamous 1 and Cole in InFamous 2.
2:35:17 I would have never noticed that in-game but that expression actually is gold. That is a perfect "Oh god, what the fuck, what is wrong with me, why"
Ice surfing like Frozone would've been a cool way to counter flood town being all water. Or at least being able to make an ice platform right before landing on the water. Also, they should remake 1 and 2 with updated (but perhaps not quite modern) graphics, fix all the things you critiqued, and then do that thing that modern games do where it lets you pick the framerate vs fidelity and has 30fps, 40fps, and 60fps modes on consoles, as well as an auto-tune mode for PC that will dial it up or down based on a few priorities (IE native resolution and good lighting and draw distance for me), the target framerate, and your system specs. So like, it'll run multiple benchmarks until it has your settings automatically optimized.
First game has always been my favorite. You felt so powerful with the upgraded evil powers and I just didn’t feel the same progression in the second game. And the lighting strike was a lot better in the first game too. The story was a lot more interesting to than the other 2 games imo, at least the beginning and ending parts. Boss fights were petty fun too, especially Kessler
The lightning bolt and shock wave are a lot better in the first game too. I always disliked how they took away nearly all his powers at the beginning. It also felt like his electricity powers took a back seat for napalm and ice. I’m fine with adding those powers, but I was just expecting them to do a lot more with his original powers. It was annoying how they got rid of things like recharging your energy by grinding on a rail and karmic overload. Infamous 2 was a great game, it just felt like a lot of wasted potential sometimes.
Yeah I get what you mean. Infamous 2 did well with improving the graphics and traversal, but it did feel like it was missing some things that made the first game special. The first game you get to upgrade all of your powers and make them a lot more powerful. Infamous 2 you don’t upgrade anything, you just unlock different variations of the power. Still loved the game though. Cole and Zekes relationship was great and their characters were a little more fleshed out. Wasn’t ever a fan of nix and kuo though.
the first infamous feels like prototype and you can just decimate everyone with ease by the end of the game, infamous 2 feels a lot better in every other way though
Truly a masterful franchise. Second Son got heavily criticized upon release so I’m glad people are finally realizing that it was a worthy continuation and a great game all on its own. It’s a shame that the series might never continue, especially since second son was so open ended. But whether Sucker Punch’s next game is infamous 4, GOT 2, or a new IP entirely we can always count on quality from this studio. Great vid as always Aqua!
I’m still not fully on board with second son, Cole will always be best no cap, his karma choices made you feel good and bad as the player where as delsins didn’t for me and he kinda lacked character and felt a bit boring to me, he did have some good moments but Cole for infamous 2 will always be best
Just got the platinum for second son today I couldn’t get over how gorgeous the game is and how good the abilities were gotta be one of my favourite games rn
The moment I watched Zeke die my life changed. Yeah we all know that our actions have consequences but there is a moment in life where it really hits us and yeah this happened to me in a game but since that moment when I was a kid I changed. Also I never played a game through the Evil Rought again (without being Second Son)
Sucker punch be like: "Wanna see me make a timeless video game?" "Wanna see me do it again?" "Wanna see me do it again?" "Wanna see me do it again?" "Wanna see me do it again?" "Wanna see me do it again?" "Wanna see me do it again?"
My biggest problems with Second Son and the reason I can't consider it better than 1 & 2 are that Delsin's evil arc feels completely out of nowhere and feels like they just forced it into the game because inFamous and the Karma system are hand in hand. And more importantly to me, the fact that Delsin's power is actually absorbing other conduits powers and using them could've been used to explain why you only get the same basic abilities for each power you absorb, which still wouldve felt like an excuse, but it's better than just having no explanation. Like, you could justify it as Delsin being new to the abilites and not being able to use them to full effect, but then how does that explain how he can just slow time with Neon, or straight up turn invisible to the naked eye using Video, something neither natural user display as abilites. It just feels like they made it as a game mechanic, without wanting to dedicate the story to fleshing it out or explaining it.
When you get concrete, it just... it suits better for Evil Karma because you cannot subdue with concrete. So concrete is useless with Good Karma. I think so.
Your difficulty comments really resonated with me. When a section in a game starts taking over 10 tries it stops being all that fun for me. I like to feel a sense of progression, and I feel that I shouldn't have to put forth so much time towards something that is just a hobby of mine.
I'm only on the 20 mins. mark and maybe this will be said in the games with Cole but, I found out that shooting metallic things like generators, trash dumpsters, or cars after they've exploded can be hit with the normal bolt shots and then the electricity from that can be absorbed to heal and gain power back. It helped me in the hardest parts of the games.
Hey! I’m glad people talk about this series still. I was pretty young when second son came out, but I fell in love with the whole punk aesthetic. Plus, video is such a kick ass power. It weirdly enough got me into a bunch of stuff like graffiti art. I don’t exactly get the whole “bad karma” graffiti sometimes, but for the fish example you showed off, maybe it was that the fish were being cut apart with glee instead of just hopping by? That’s just my interpretation. Great video. Cheers!
A game capture of me neon running as Delson has been my phones background ever since. What a fuckn game....and it came out on my birthday.....best birthday present ever.
That neon glitch is so weird. Neon was my fav power and in both playthroughs I did I didn’t see that happen. Huh. Also love these long compilations. Gives me something to watch while going to bed
I remember buying the PS4 originally just to play Second Son. I still for some reason randomly and unconsciously quote Second Son saying "A man, a plan and an aerosol can" when someone asks me what I'm doing. It's not even on purpose, it was just so ingrained into my mind that I say it now.
In inFamous 2, Nyx should've been against John because he's another Ray Sphere who tears apart families like hers. If not, that whole "monsters are my surrogate family" thing should've been set up beforehand...
How funny that this came out today since I literally just finished my Evil play through of Second Son getting the platinum trophy yesterday 😂. Infamous is such a great series and the first is my personal favorite.
i will forever die on the hill about the city look/design for infamous one. i get that it isnt the most beautiful, most well done design but considering how old the game is, i find it beautiful in its own way. and so many people complain about how dark and gloomy the city feels. BUT THATS THE POINT OF IT ;-; the city just got blasted, they’re put on lock down, the power is out nearly everywhere, millions are homeless, and they are running low on supplies. the city is MEANT to feel dark, gloomy, hopeless, in despair, and like their is no point to living any more. the atmosphere FEELS the way it looks. ignoring the animations for the characters, the first game feels so beautifully made. maybe im heavily biased as its one of the first games ive ever played, but i truly loved the look and design of empire city. as this guy said, it looks like the city has gone through hell and back. if you reach a certain point in the map, you can look over the neon district and it truly looked very well made. there are three major hills i will die on for these games: 1.) Trish was the most annoying character throughout the entire series and wad a massive bitch. (hate her with every fiber in my being) 2.) the second game is the best infamous game 3.) infamous one’s city design and look was perfectly done.
Second son was one of the first games I played other than stuff on a Wii. I can’t believe it came out 10 years ago, the particle effects and graphics still hold up quite well. I love this game and I hope they make another one.
So in the case of infamous 1's difficulty it has the hardest "hard" imo. The electric shield really came in clutch on that difficulty, the fact you could use it on the move & it restored power made it a godsend especially against snipers & rocketeers. It really let me move from cover to cover reloading essentially as I did, don't get me wrong I died A LOT, but I don't think I could have beaten the game without it.
I like to think Cole was revived. Ik the RIF takes the genes from conduits but there’s also another form that can get powers without using the Ray Sphere. So maybe the bolt of lightning jumpstarted his heart. I just miss my boy Cole. Infamous needs to return asap
Infamous 1 remake on PS5 would go hard af. Extended story, more music, beautiful graphics/lighting, bigger map. And Empire City’s dystopian vibe would thrive much more
My one and only issue with Second Son (other than the fact that the touchpad stuff means it will likely never be ported...) is that the devs clearly never spent any time in Seattle, and went with the rainy city stereotype. We hardly get any rain in Washington, and when we do it either sprinkles or pours depending on whether or not a typhoon decides to sweep the coast, and I've made it my mission to let everyone know that since playing Second Son.
@@ChuckDanger I'm from western Washington, the weather is exactly as I've stated before. We've gotten more rain lately, but that's just because it's February.
The Sucker Punch studio is right there in Bellevue, WA! The "Seattle" in the game is actually a remix of things in the Seattle/Bellevue area. The two bridges separating the two areas are the 520 and I90 bridges. I do agree that their Seattle and it ends up not feeling very Seattle. I think they put a little bit too much Bellevue in it. Seattle is actually very hilly, and you don't get that sense from the Seattle in Second Son. Still love being able to scale Space Needle!
@@genericname748 Don't ever tell me I'm wrong about the weather in my own state. Pulling that while claiming you're from Seattle immediately removes any legitimacy you have to me.
Infamous 2 to me IS a perfect sequel. The story is a classic superhero vs supervillain story with good emotional stakes and great side characters. I also love the expansion of powers Cole gets with fire and ice. So awesome.
I feel like the choice for trish’s life would be made better if the Villain tried to predict your choice instead of the choice being pointless. For example if you play a put evil route the villain will hide Trish in the group of doctors trying to predict you would let them die, and if you are playing a pure good route it would make sense that cole might take the evil option just to save Trish.
I was a teen when i found out about this series trying infamous 2 in the walmart kiosk and falling in love with it! Thus started a long love of these games which they absolutely need a continuation of not just powers and lore but the characters!
As someone who just listened to these in order multiple times any way this is both hilarious (as I will listen again), and useful (as I will listen again).
The first two games of the InFAMOUS series and uncharted series are my top two greatest games of all time. Any time I boot up these games I get very very nostalgic and wanting to keep going back for more even though I have beat each series a multitude of times.
Hey, so since I saw some confusion regarding the compilations I'll just clarify; these kinds of videos won't be super common. I just figured it would be a fun end of the year thing to do. Expect a new video in a week or two and then that's it for me until January. Take care, and happy holidays!

I want another InFamous game so badly, such a great series and theres so much they could do with it
The series has a lot of gameplay and story potential, can’t believe second son came out almost 9 years ago
Infamous second sun was pretty trash tho
This series is so mid.
Remastered infamous 1 and 2 anyone?
Infamous 2 will always be one of my favorite games.
At some point a guy who chose to become a cop should switch to wanting to kill his mass murderer brother.
infamous 2 makes me cry
With nostalgia
This series and Ghost of Tsushima has cemented Sucker Punch as probably my favourite game development studio.
Same but that was already true for me with Sly Cooper.

I’ll never forget the first time I booted up second son. It still blows my mind how much effort they put into that game
Same the only game too mae the touch pad useful as well
@@theoutsiderjess1869 Killzone Shadow Fall also really used the touchpad
@Cwavy_619 look up how good the game was rated it’s a great game man, it holds up beautifully today and it looks amazing
That would have been a great completion of his character arc.
I never understood why people didn’t like the voice for Cole in the first game. His grungy, dark voice just fitted perfectly with the setting around him.
I loved his og actor.
I don't think he was hated but they wanted someone who could also do mocap for Cole.
They should’ve kept the voice actor from the first game and used him for the evil karma version of cole in infamous 2
I pray we get remakes for these so we have up to date graphics and frames. The first two inFamous games are by and far my most favorite games ever created and I love them
I love how you completely forgot that you don't have access to both kuo's and nix's powers until ng+.
@Cwavy_619 Damn didnt know that you spoke for the whole world. Its ok to not like the games but dont act like an idiot mate.
@Cwavy_619 You're correct....my actual mates arent as childish as someone like you.
@Cwavy_619 I want more Deslin
Wasn't the last game first light tho?
@@playerback7722 yes but that was an DLC expansion. Not a full game title
The first 2 are timeless. The 3rd is just okay with some cool gameplay
I've always looked at it to Delsin being a Jack Of All Trades but master of none
Did you they make a new game? I've never heard of second light before
@@br0dyj08n9 they likely meant first light
I could argue a couple of things with Kessler. The cut scene with him going back in time, shows a device on his hand, so that could've help him. And him wanting cole to be stronger could be that he was so disappointed in himself for being weak, that he rather have a younger self be stronger then just kill john
I think Kessler never saw that John is the Beast in his original timeline.
Kessler's manipulation changed how things play out leading to Cole seeing John in the second game.
That sony hack was like a blessing in disguise as a kid. I never got to experience a rated M open world since GTA was banned in my house.
1ST We had A Lofi Arkham Series Retrospective to Sleep/Relax/Study to NOW We Have A InFAMOUS Series Retrospective to Sleep/Relax/Study to!!
'There is something about infamous 2 that gets me latched on-'.
....
(another, one exampled reason) Lore-wise:
Take a shot when Aqua mentions the Infamous 1 valve choices
Casper is S tier. You literally spot the entire map and can shutdown enemy vehicles to the point where they don't wanna push the obj anymore
A small thing, but the way Kuo got her powers were explained a bit. She was hooked up to the power transfer machine we use later in the game, connected to the ice conduits that were sealed in the same room. It's explained those ife conduits were given their powers forcefully through experimentation
what would dracula personality be like infamous
Infamous 1 blew my mind as a child. I think is was the second or third ps3 i ever played. Even now 15 years later i still love it ❤️
Scaling that castle was such a pain
My one complaint with Trish's death, is that she's not *just* unsaveable, but that she's specifically always on the tower that you aren't. If she was in some third location that you only found out about after, then that'd be fine- but the fact that the narrative has to do a Schrodinger's Cat and say you always chose The One Wrong Answer.
Why would Kessler let Trish live though?
@@street_sign416he would still just kill her at the third location
Infamous came off to me as a literal “comic book game.”
A remake treatment like Tlou part 1 would be so good of the 1st two games
I'd hope for more of a remaster. A remake leaves room to change elements of the story and seeing a lot of modern interpretation of old franchise doesn't fill me with confidence.
@@arsonistchoir2187 The games kinda have plot points hideout explanation a remake like Dead Space Remake would be good, modern graphics, improve the based gameplay and complement the story and not change major plot
Nah leave them to die. They’re not great games.
Exactly my thoughts, thanks for saying it.
yes!! this bothered me horribly because they threw away the better version of the story. why? were they afraid people wouldn't be able to sympathise with a(n ex) drug addict? made no sense to me honestly they already had a great setup
12:13 "which can two shot you" literally shows the enemies taking a while to kill
The shield in the first game felt like a godsend and the upgraded one refilled ur energy. I found myself using it endlessly, it also had a satisfying sound when stuff would hit it lol
Can't believe it's been 9 years since the last infamous game
The powers were better in the 2nd game to me. Thrusters were improved. Way more cool abilties like throwing cars at enemies
the first infamous feels like prototype and you can just decimate everyone with ease by the end of the game, infamous 2 feels a lot better in every other way though
2nd game was more improved and better you're blinded by nostalgia from the first game.
InFamous games might be the most solid videogame series. All the protagonists and games are different enough but have the common theme.
Still hoping Sucker Punch go back to Sly Cooper at some point.
Really?
They’re all roughly the same quality. Mid.

The thing that'll always make me smile in infamous 1 was to punch a trashcan/dumpster and somehow clip under them and instanly die

The moment I watched Zeke die my life changed. Yeah we all know that our actions have consequences but there is a moment in life where it really hits us and yeah this happened to me in a game but since that moment when I was a kid I changed. Also I never played a game through the Evil Rought again (without being Second Son)
Sucker punch be like:
"Wanna see me make a timeless video game?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
"Wanna see me do it again?"
It’s just game mechanics
When you get concrete, it just... it suits better for Evil Karma because you cannot subdue with concrete. So concrete is useless with Good Karma. I think so.
THATS CRAZY THAT YOU CALLED ME OUT, i do in fact have this playing on my second monitor grinding destiny 2
Cheers!

It's not even on purpose, it was just so ingrained into my mind that I say it now.

i will forever die on the hill about the city look/design for infamous one.
i get that it isnt the most beautiful, most well done design but considering how old the game is, i find it beautiful in its own way. and so many people complain about how dark and gloomy the city feels. BUT THATS THE POINT OF IT ;-; the city just got blasted, they’re put on lock down, the power is out nearly everywhere, millions are homeless, and they are running low on supplies. the city is MEANT to feel dark, gloomy, hopeless, in despair, and like their is no point to living any more.
the atmosphere FEELS the way it looks. ignoring the animations for the characters, the first game feels so beautifully made.
maybe im heavily biased as its one of the first games ive ever played, but i truly loved the look and design of empire city. as this guy said, it looks like the city has gone through hell and back. if you reach a certain point in the map, you can look over the neon district and it truly looked very well made.
there are three major hills i will die on for these games:
1.) Trish was the most annoying character throughout the entire series and wad a massive bitch. (hate her with every fiber in my being)
2.) the second game is the best infamous game
3.) infamous one’s city design and look was perfectly done.
I always thought that Infamous felt like a spiderless spiderman.
Liked and subscribed instantly because you called me out for playing this while laying down for bed. Great video!
I disagree. It rains a bunch in western Washington.
@@satorukuroshiro I live in Seattle and have most of my life. You're just completely wrong.
So awesome.
Man I loved this series. Had so much potential to carry on. I really hope they bring it back
I feel like the choice for trish’s life would be made better if the Villain tried to predict your choice instead of the choice being pointless. For example if you play a put evil route the villain will hide Trish in the group of doctors trying to predict you would let them die, and if you are playing a pure good route it would make sense that cole might take the evil option just to save Trish.
I wish they made another game literally. The series is just too good
the first infamous game is like playing a platformer while the enemies are playing a cover shooter
If you have a mid to high end PC then you can emulate the first and second game as well as Festival Of Blood at 40 to 60 fps :)
Did you forget the boss fight on the bridge?? When Augustine jumps you
This happened to my brother too. He got Infamous whilst they got hacked. I enjoyed the crap out of this game
My only problem with second son is that delsin’s character really doesnt fit the evil playthrough
TH-cam brought this video up on auto play, and I was hooked, fantastic content
The first two games of the InFAMOUS series and uncharted series are my top two greatest games of all time. Any time I boot up these games I get very very nostalgic and wanting to keep going back for more even though I have beat each series a multitude of times.
