One part i don't see covered or discussed is what's up with the small piece of plywood glued inside the dispenser and the hardwood edge on the pull slide...
LOL, sorry about that and good catch! That is a spacer because I mis-cut the slide (see minute 6:31). Had I not put the spacer in the slide would go back too far
Maybe a dumb question... with the hole in the top under the jar, how do you flip the loaded jar onto the top without dumping out some of the contents? I suppose you can pull the dispenser out so it blocks the bottom hole, but seems like you still have the top hole to contend with.
Nice. Have you considered mounting a couple of springs on the slide piece one the inside to have "automatic closing action"?

Hi Jeff - you need to turn the base of the machine upside down while leaving the jar right-side up.
