A couple of things to note. In the instructions provided, it states to cut your small 2x4 pieces at 1.5, this is incorrect. You will want them to be 1.25" wide, and I failed to mention in the video you want the center mechanism to be 1" wide and 7" long. By making the smaller pieces 1.25" each and adding the 1" wide mechanism, you end up with the same 3.5" as the base piece underneath. Making the mechanism 7" allows it to have enough room to go in far enough to catch the candy, and come out far enough to dispense it. I also sanded down every piece after cutting to ensure I didn't end up with any saw dust coming out with my candy. You can also choose to paint or stain the wood to your liking!
