This is the most original build I’ve seen in a very long time. Everyone is building out shops like everyone else, but you are original and fun to watch. Thank you!
My aunt and uncle owned a country store in the 1950-80s. They had a bubble gum type machine that dispensed salted peanuts (it was either a penny or nickel machine). She had my dad convert it to a bubble gum machine, my parents passed away in early 2000s, so I have it as a family treasure. Watching you build this reminded me of watching my dad fix that old machine. Thank you. :)
Just a remark about the drill press accident, your lucky that was all that happened. You never spin a bit that large that fast , especially without clamps holding the workpiece. It will not be very long before something worse happens.
Really neat, Billy. Your projects are never boring! My vote is for peanut M&M's. I think it would be illegal to put anything other than some kind of M&M's in that thing. Bill
Hi, man. I don't know how you find the time to do what you do. FYI: I don't have a CNC, etc. so I'd be trying to make this with 'caveman tool' and old fashioned brute force (like a man of 75 years has any brute force left) Thanks for the video. Your creativity is always a blast to watch.
I've got a buddy with a huge sweet tooth. Looks like I've found the perfect gift!! Great build, thanks for sharing. I'd love it if you come up with plans, free or paid, either would be great. Thanks!!
Great project! Is there a washer or something similar between the handle and the base to keep the handle from rubbing the finish off of the base over time?
I almost choked on my lunch from laughing at the part where you were just staring at the viewer as your CNC cut out the circle and you pointed to your video on 7 ways to cut out a circle. Just cutting the CNC haters or trolls saying it's not real woodworking off at the knees before they can even start. 😂 🤣
Thanks for adding metric measurements for those of us outside the US. Your channel deserves more attention. Could you include holograms again in future videos?
Awesome results and definitely a fantastic project, apart from the exploding fostner bit this looks like a really easy build but i guarantee that if I try to build one it will not work and look more like a mini kitchen bin for my efforts 🤪😜. As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Do you have a folder filled with clips called "milling walnut" for when you are editing, or do you film fresh every time? Nice project, and a good combo of CNC and traditional woodworking.
First!!😁😁 Billy this is absaloutley amazing what a beautiful peice. You'd think you knew what u were doing. Could sell those for fortune!🏴👍 Certainly wouldn't put that forcener bit in a hand drill!
@@NewtonMakes looked like allot of fun. Wish I had the skills and knowledge to do it. Oh and the tools might help. When's next scroll project coming I'm coming up with a load character ideas for u. 🤔👍🏴
Glad you're okay. It's always scary when a tool breaks on you while using it. Especially when it is a part you don't expect can or will fail in the way it does.
thought of trying to make a candy machine where you have to put a coin in to get candy? I'm thinking on it, then drawing, then thinking more. If grand children will want candy they'll have to pay for it. Teach them value of money.
Plans are now available for this project. If you want to build this candy machine go to www.newtonmakes.com and check it out.

Awe, thank you for sharing that story with me. Very nice.
Love the shot of you standing in front of the CNC, pointing to the video about cutting circles. Nice anticipation haha
I don't want people thinking they have to use one. 😂
Very well done, Billy :) I always love the type of handle with elongated contrasting wood inlays!
The handle was a spur of the moment thing. I'm glad I did it though.
Nice idea! Thinking outside the box for woodworking projects!
Thanks!
That's pretty COOL...
Awesome video! I have a big chunk of Mahogany siting in my boiler room I think I might make something like this, thanks for the inspiration!
Just a remark about the drill press accident, your lucky that was all that happened. You never spin a bit that large that fast , especially without clamps holding the workpiece. It will not be very long before something worse happens.
I was thinking the same thing about the lack of a clamp. Drill presses are one of those tools that seem tame but can quickly bite
That is really cute and creative little project. Although I was shocked at the number of clamps you used 😀.
Never be shocked at the number of clamps I use. It'll always be one more than expected. 🤣
Really neat, Billy. Your projects are never boring! My vote is for peanut M&M's. I think it would be illegal to put anything other than some kind of M&M's in that thing.
Bill
I think peanut M&Ms are my second favorite. These are caramel and they are a tad too chewy for my liking.
Pretty beautiful work, Newton! 😃
It really turned out fantastic! I may try to make it as well!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Give it a go. It's fun and the family will enjoy it.
Hey, Billy. Do you have plans/templates available for this confectionary wonder?
BTW: It's a very cool little project. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I'm working on something. I haven't had time. I don't know if it'll be a free template of the mechanism or full plans for sale.

Love your videos. I love to build one of these, can you share the dimensions of the dispensing circle. Thanks
I'm working on plans but the circle is about 3" in diameter.
Great project! Is there a washer or something similar between the handle and the base to keep the handle from rubbing the finish off of the base over time?
There is not, but it's not a film finish and tried and true soaks into the wood. I wouldn't expect any issues.

Man that is awesome great build and beautiful choice of wood 👌
I enjoyed this one, man. Been waiting to make this for a while.
Man, I've had a bit break on me, it's terrifying. I can't believe I didn't get hurt. Glad your injuries were minimal!

Oh I absolutely will!

It's fairly straightforward once broken down into steps. Not too bad.
Do you have a folder filled with clips called "milling walnut" for when you are editing, or do you film fresh every time?
Nice project, and a good combo of CNC and traditional woodworking.
It would probably be easier to have generic milling footage but I film it hot and fresh each project.
I now want some M&M s. Lol
First!!😁😁 Billy this is absaloutley amazing what a beautiful peice. You'd think you knew what u were doing. Could sell those for fortune!🏴👍 Certainly wouldn't put that forcener bit in a hand drill!
It was a ton of fun to build.

,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…..
Glad you're okay.

Ich finde deine Projekte immer genial, aber wenn die cnc ins Spiel kommt rauchen meine gehirnzellen…wie setze ich das um 😂
you are so much fun... fantastic dispenser... it must be a joy and a privilege to share a home with you :)... accept a european hug
Thanks! Love my European brothers and sisters out there.
Cheap man pays twice! Lesson learned? Nice build. All I need now is an expensive CNC.
did you report the failure ?
Now make it coin based. LOL
Can't blame it on the steel.
TEM GENTE QUE JOGA FORA OS RETALHOS
That’s pretty cool. Yummy even. (See what I did there?)
