This video will teach you how to tie one of the easiest and strongest knots to tie two lines together, the Albright Knot! This knot can be used any time you need to connect two pieces of line together, including braid to monofilament or fluorocarbon line (including a leader to the main line), and this video will show you the tricks to tie it quickly and effectively! We will also go over one situation when you should not use this knot, so make sure you're not making that common mistake! This is one of the most widely used fishing knots which is easy/fast to tie and can be used to catch anything from rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, perch, panfish, bluegill, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskie, walleye, salmon, red snapper, grouper, tuna, cod, halibut, flounder, trigger fish, king or spanish mackerel, cobia, redfish, black drum... basically anything you catch with a hook can be caught using this knot! This knot is similar in strength and simplicity to the uni knot, double uni knot, palomar knot, trilene knot, improved clinch knot, loop knot, albright knot, fg knot, alberto knot, and others! Subscribe for more knots and tips, and thanks for watching!
Quick disclaimer: This is but one of many methods to successfully tie this knot, and it happens to be the best one I have found! I hope it works equally well for you, but if it doesn't, or if you have found something else that works better, I encourage you to stick to what works for you! I would always recommend practicing the knots and testing their strength yourself to ensure you are comfortable with how they work, and to avoid flinging lures into the ocean on a failed knot (ask me how I know!). Knots take practice, so make sure you're comfortable with whatever you're tying prior to trusting it with your gear! If you have any questions about the knot, please post them below and I will do my best to answer them. I hope this is helpful, and tight lines!

Great "batch" of knots for an arsenal. Curious as to why you didn't do a snell knot for the bent eye hook and the perfection loop. Watched all the knot videos.....newly subscribed. Thanks.

Would this Knot be better than the FG for passing through the rod eyes? It looks better to me.

This knot is slightly bulkier than the FG knot, but it is also slightly faster to tie. So it’s a tradeoff!!

Great knots, but I can't find the one for braid to braid.

The double uni knot works great for that!

I would rather tie the modified Albright.

How does Albright compare in strength to Alberto knot?

The Albright knot brakes at roughly 75% to 80% of the lb test rating of the line the Alberto knot breaks closer to 90% of the strength of the lb test rating of the line but either one will be sufficient for fishing as long as you set your drag properly.
