I've had the IIC-NW type hearing aid since Starkey came out with the Sound Lens over a decade ago. You can't beat it. I wear them from waking to sleeping (16hrs?) and I change the battery once every 5 days or so. It also sounds more natural than any other type (because it picks up sound deep in your ear where it normally is picked up). The big catch is that you have to get a hearing aid fitter who can take a "dangerously" deep canal impression so the HA will sit a couple of millimeters from your ear drum. There is a high tech way to get impressions now (LIDAR?) but it's an expensive device that most shops would rather not invest in. Having said all that , whatever HA you get, buy it from Zip. Their prices are WAY below what you have to spend for retail. We're talking several thousand dollars difference. But get an IIC if you can swing the impression part.

I live in Malaysia and getting ANY info about the tech inside is nearly impossible. Here the lowest model is the 1000...probably NEVER for sale in the US. Then we have the 1200 and 1600 (2000 & 2400). The 1600 is nice, the 1000 is certainly better than my current unaided ears, but the 1200 is of great interest to me as incomes here are pathetically low compared to the US, so even the 1600 is over a months wage. Your pricing for the 2400 is about 3.5 months wage for middle income earners. You could actually buy a new entry level car for your prices. Probably going to get the 1200's as I have come to realise I am really deaf...depressing really.

I bought Starky Evolv AI from Cenaudi Mx in Playa del Carmen. and they didn't work, the techs couldn't fix them and they wouldn't give me a refund within the 30 days. Terrible, terrible experience! they don't stand behind them at all. Don't buy them! is my comment.
