Now that’s very helpful where you’ve given a solution for if one hearing aid stops working- a quick swipe up to restart or reconnect. I will need to try this if it happens again. I normally resit the hearing aid in the charger again and it shuts off and on again but I always worried that if I’m out I wouldn’t be able to do that as charger at home.( Alternatively I was thinking it’s going to cost me further to need to buy the charger that has batteries in that I can take around with me in case). So I’ll let you know how I go. I’m actually trialling this hearing aid atm. Phone call reception not so good. Any ideas on how to get better clearer speech in calls welcome. Thanks
1. Restart phone once a week to help those issues. 2. Update your CARRIER (it's in settings) so that it can fix other issues. 3. Update all apps and iOS to latest versions. 4. If phone call reception is bad, you might need a cleaning or repair on the aids. OR, the signal is so bad at the time you called, it comes thru badly. Sometimes just hang up and call the person back in a second and it clears it up.
I just want to know what the verticle line is on the horizontal volume line on the screen at 13 min that isn't on your volume line. Personally these hearing are no better than any others that have us teathered to our phones and don't work well if you get too far from your phone plus they block sound all the time including music so most the time when I'm driving they're i nmy right hand and I just turn the music up so I can hear it. I've had these about a year or so now so I'm pretty adept at using them and they still suck
This my starkey apps somtimes work and sometimes stop and appears the hearing aids off or one of them is working and I tryed to uninstall this apps and reinstall and also I do shut off my phone until they are working togther and happened with me many times and suddenly happened. I bought a Starkey edge ai 24 and I sm thinking to return back and happy at all with the apps and the hearing aids when it works will be good. Any more I am thinking to return back, it is not easy and more complicated my doctor advised to change my mobile into a new one to give me a streaming voice only and will work fine with the apps. So I am thinking to return back these headach hearing aids
OK I am not going to tell you what to do but here's some issues that you might wanna consider. 1. What is the phone type? iPhone or Android? Is it updated? How old is the phone? 2. If it's a newer phone and UPDATED, then you might have a circuit problem with the hearing aid. Ask to send back that one (or whichever it's doing it to) for replacement and extend the trial period. I have done that many many times for people to solve their issues. Amjed, the phone is a massive factor in here. I had a patient who bought a new phone at Walmart and it would never hook up to his hearing aid nor the app. Once I checked it out (seeing him for the first time), I found that the phone is INCOMPATIBLE with the apps. That does happen. So let's look at the phone first before we make that decision.
Is it possible to mute the announcement when programs are changed? If I want to change to the restraurant program I don't want everyone at my table to know.
Go to SETTINGS, NOTIFICATIONS, and find the app...then turn off the notifications in the app. Now, for Restaurant Program WORDING, you have to ask the Audiologist to turn DOWN the volume of the words RESTAURANT so no one hears it, OR turn it off.
Security hint for most people. If you use a particular tool to maintain security, do not tell people the tools you use. Now the listening party can narrow their attacks down to the vulnerabilities of the product you use.
Since I didn't make the app, I cannot answer all. Starkey will only work on newer models of phones. Since I can't tell you which one is compatible (without knowing every single brand out there of phone), I normally recommend iPhone 12 and above. Android G22 and above.
What is a waste of time? I DID do screen shots and did other shows. Everyone loves to be a arm chair quarterback criticizing at every turn. Pretty sad life!

Never heard of CARRIER…. What is it really? Will check. Thanks

Not sure what you mean here. Hearing Aids are Low Energy BT very limited range.
Why star key aids app is compatible with certain brands of mobiles only. Why not with all brands of mobile?

Waste of time, you should use actual screenshots.

I learned more from this than I did the Starkey app tutorials….
@@muttimcleod6009 We tried to make it better to understand what the app really does!
Thank you. 😊
Very informative. Is there a way to try and make/ adjust clarity in speech during an actual call via my iPhone using the app? Thanks
