    I just installed the anchor trolley yesterday. I really like the added Niteze cord tightening device idea and I’m going to add it to my kayak. Thanks buddy.

    Great video. I really like the idea of using the chord tightener.

    The use of the cam jams is pretty ingenious, wouldn’t have found those and would have continued being pissed at my boat had it not been for your video.

    Great video I'll have to pick up a Kit for my kayak. I have the same one and love it

    Nice tips on the CamJam. I usually use a carabiner on the ring anyway for ease of inserting the anchor line. Have you had any trouble with the screws pulling out? I just purchased this kit today. The screws are making me a little nervous.

      I haven't had any issues w/ the screws pulling out and I actually installed another of these anchor trolleys on my new Hobie Outback. I use a simple 5lb anchor and I'm not worried at all about these screws. You can always order the backing plate, nuts and screws from YakAttack (same ones that come w/ the HD anchor trolley kit) and this will definitely give you a much stronger installation. You will just need to have access from the inside where you'll be installing the two pulleys, screws and nuts. Thanks for your comment!

      Thank you for the feedback. I have a Nucanoe Frontier 12 and no access to the hull inside the rear of the boat. If I have a screw pull out, I'll replace it with a rivet. So far I've not found anyone that has had a screw pull out.

      I haven't either. I would guess the only ones that would have any issues w/ the screws coming out are those that are using heavy anchor gear and most lake, reservoir and river anglers don't use that type of anchor gear.

    I have that same Kayak. This video will be beyond helpful. Great work! do you have any other mods you would suggest? Like anchor line management?

      +Joseph Milazzo thanks for your comment! Currently, I just use a plastic chord/ rope holder (i really have no idea what it's called), but it's basically something that I can wrap the anchor chord around. There are a few vids that I've seen where others have used a retractable dog leash to manage the anchor line and I'm thinking about trying this method out sometime.

    Hello, I am about to buy this very kayak and same trolley system. Anything else I should know now that you have had it installed a while? Thanks and Happy Holidays

      Awesome! You're really going to like this kayak and the trolley system works great. The only issue I have that pops up every now and then is that the bottom guide line may jump up over the guides, which really isn't a big deal to me as it's easy to push the guide line back down under the guides. I don't use this kayak anymore as I've moved onto a Hobie Outback, but my wife now uses it and she really likes it.

    Very helpful and great quality, most people have the video quality of a 90s camera lol

      +Nick Anderson100 thanks for your comment! The key sometimes is lighting, so even with a good camera, if the lighting is poor so is the image quality. It was a bright sunny day on the day I shot this video so I took advantage of the outside natural light!

    The only problem I see with this set up is that the knot behind the "cam lock" will not pass the the pulley so if you left 6-8 inches behind the cam lock to be able to adjust the tension the you'll always be anchored that 6-8" from the rear pulley instead of all the way back to the pulley.

    • @JeremyBakerFishing

      I was wondering the same thing as I was coming up with this solutions. The knot I use is a double overhand knot, so it's loose enough to move up and down the line. When I move the trolley ring to the rear, once the knot hits the pulley, it slides to the cam lock. With this, the anchor is all the way to the rear.

      But even when the knot slides up, the tension on the line stays the same, correct, because of the CanJam?

      +Brian Dempsey I went with this set up for a short minutes and if you give it a short tug the knot should in fact go through the pulley

    • @JeremyBakerFishing
      @JeremyBakerFishing  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian Dempsey You're correct. The camjam keeps the line locked in place, so even if the knot slides up or down, the tension remains the same.

    how you seal the ones you drilled?

    • @JeremyBakerFishing
      @JeremyBakerFishing  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you don't have to. They are self tapping screws and they basically seal themselves. The hole you drill is smaller than the screws, so when you screw them in they make a good seal. You could use some silicon or marine goop if you want, but I don't think it's needed if you follow the directions that come with the trolley.
