Great anchor system. I, too, am new to kayak fishing and just installed the same trolly kit just modified. I went with a zig zag cleat instead of that triangle one. I also opted for two welded stainless rings with a carabiner for the bottom middle rope where it connects The carabiner allows you to clip in your anchor line easier as well as disconnect one side for towing from the stern or being towed from the bow, just keep the carabiner on the side you need, pull the slack out til the welded ring hits the pulls and your good to go. I actually have those plastic balls on the line as well before the welded ring so the line stops before the pully.
I have the same one on my Kayak too & i love it too. My whole entire family ( me , wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , soon my Grandson as soon as he gets bigger for a kayak 🛶 , my lil brother , & his son ) we all have them on our kayak 🛶 & they work very very well. You will love it too. We do a lot of kayaking , kayak camping , kayak fishing & sometimes we Tied to each other's kayak 🛶 when we are just Floating And taking a break . It's so awesome to have on your kayak 🛶 . It's A must have kayak 🛶 Item. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video.
I'm headed out to install an Anchor trolley system on my Catch 110. Have been hesitating also to punch holes in the side but your so called Mistakes make me feel better. And a little insight. Thanks
Even though I would have done things differently, my setup has worked very well for me so far. I think there is a little more room for error than I thought there would be. Hope it turns out perfect for you!
I installed a different brand of trolley system before I got to seeing your video. I have the same kayak! I did put my bow pulley further towards the front after some internal debating. I feel your pain.
@@mackerelvelli the times I have used it already have been great. I am sure if I fished more current it would have made a bigger difference, but hope everyone can learn from my mistakes 😂
First 'Yak I put an anchor trolley on, I did the same dang thing...! Didn't make it long enough to anchor off the bow or stern (that was over 7 years ago, and I've installed may more on 'Yaks since then!). Lol... I'll be putting a couple of Yakattack Heavy Duty Trolleys on the 12.5 Titan-X probably today, so all my mistakes will remind me to install it Correctly (this time!). Haha!

The zig zag cleat has less moving parts so it will probably be better for longevity! Kayaking is a ton of fun and you can access a ton more water.

Great video bro you helped me a ton🙏
Glad it helped someone out! Good luck with yours! It’s a game changer for kayak position management.

Any mistaken holes can be easily "remedied" with a Tri-Grip Rivet...! (My Catch 100 has a couple of them, itself!). Haha!
Thanks! I will remember that if my current trolley isn’t functional.

At least I’m not the only one 😂 hopefully it still works well enough and others learn from our mistakes!
Need to have someone hold the camera for you. Most of the shot are off the screen. Apart from that good video info.
We are a low quality, low budget, one man show over here 😂 but I agree I could have certainly done better with this video.
Most of what you were doing was out of the picture, except for the full minute of looking at the instructions.
Agreed not the best camera work!
