he seems so brave and courageous. he has a way of singing and storytelling that not only intrigues and appeals to the listener, but it’s like even though he wrote the song over 10 years earlier at this time, he’s still feeling the same emotion and cares so deeply about the need to express it. a true master of the art of songwriting. i’m so convinced that he really believes in the power of music, teaching us humility, revealing the feelings that we don’t know how to talk about so we keep them inside ourselves

She says it's cold outside and she hands me my raincoat She's always worried about things like that She says it's all gonna end and it might as well be my fault And she only sleeps when it's raining And she screams, and her voice is straining And she says baby It's three a.m. I must be lonely When she says baby Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes And the rain's gonna wash away I believe it She's got a little bit of something, god it's better than nothing And in her color portrait world she believes that she's got it all She swears the moon don't hang quite as high as it used to And she only sleeps when it's raining And she screams, and her voice is straining And she says baby It's three a.m. I must be lonely Oh, when she says baby Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes And the rain's gonna wash away I believe this She believes that life isn't made up of all that you're used to And the clock on the wall has been stuck at 3 for days, and days She thinks that happiness is the mat that sits on her doorway But outside it stopped raining And she says baby It's three a.m. I must be lonely When she says baby Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes And the rain's gonna wash away I believe this Well it's three a.m. I must be lonely Well hell, when she says baby Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes
can't believe moms are now singing this. it's surreal to see. coz you know it doesn't sound like an oldie. to me 90s songs would always sound like for the youngsters. if this gets old what more if like for example justin bieber songs get old 30 years from now. that would be a little bit cringe to see for moms and paps to be vibing on those songs LOL
There's a certain point in this song when I still get chills in April 2022. My opinion, one of those bands that won't be forgotten.
Absolutely stunning 😊

Whoever mixed this live is absolutely outstanding
I just found this band and OMG they are amazing dude
Glad you found them. One of the most underrated bands.
The good old days
Rob Thomas is a very talented man
Never gets old 💕
This is wonderful music. Rocking!!!
Awesome voice
Me from Africa watching this in Dec 2021
his live voice is like a record
Never gets old..
live? recorded? studio album version? no difference for Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty. That's Real Talent.
Besides the fact that the recording is in a different key, there really is no difference
just excellent as per usual
3:09 made someone’s day!
One of the best bands on the planet playing one of the best songs ever written in the best city in the world
Rob canta muito e tem um estilo legal
I love this band. Rob Thomas is great!

Overjoyed Mb20 I love ❤️ Rob and his band I can't wait to meet them
Damn this is great...
Why is this song not so popular? Is so good!
What? It's one of the most played and recognized songs in history. What would make you think that it's not popular?
I'm straight back at my year abroad as an au pair in 1999. Laying on the floor listen to "3am" while the hostparents are out and the kid is sleeping.
Matchbox 20 was a dope group back in da day
❤
A fan from Tibet
I absolutely love them!
When singers could actually sing
Yep no auto tune ..just pure talent and class
What a meaningless comment. Pop singers today are also amazing.

@@jasonalexander6417 the beauty about self deprecation is that when others deprecate it’s just retarded nonsense
@@mikecantreed I couldn't help but laugh at your comment. You deprecated and self deprecated at the same time. Amazing.
