@INXS1985 when he was about 13 or 14 his mom had cancer. He wrote this song about that time in his life.

You should see him live. He’s insane. He knows what he came from. The whole band does. I’ve seen them several times and they have never been the same each show. Only artist as personally passionate as him (that I have seen) is Garth. They put everything they have into every show

The fact that this song is written about his mom when he was 12/13 when she was going through cancer is difficult to not be emotional.
Man, that song seems to still hit Rob as emotionally as the rest of us.

One of the first songs that truly helped me through a lot of hard times. Love every song he ever sang but back then this one did it for me. He puts his heart & soul in all his songs, such a great singer and songwriter with beautiful lyrics. Always #1 in my heart & still going strong today as great as the 90’s, I swear he only gets better with age ! 🎶❤️🎶

That is a left handed guitar strung with the high E at the top..so the strings are actually reversed to where they should be. You will notice the strike guard is where it should be where his left hand is strumming.
@@swankylaxer Actually, it looks as though it’s a left-handed guitar, but strung for right hand playing. Most left-handed players play with the low E on top, just like righties. This guy is a bird of rare plumage, and he sounds great.

This CD was in a listening station at tower records. I was into rap and metal and the guy on the front of the cd looked goofy but it was 6.99. I brought it home and played it for my roommate and he was like “oh these guys are going to be big. It was maybe 6-8 months later and they were on mtv and every radio station lol.

Not unusual - it’s how Jimi Hendrix played too. Many left handed guitarists actually learn to play their chords “right handed and upside down” rather than on a left handed guitar so they can just pick up someone else’s guitar on quick notice
