- I love a scrappy quilt. One that consists of 2.5 inch squares. The patchwork creates a square grid that can be quilted in some many different ways. Today, I will show you four different ideas. Some are free motion some need ruler work. Shapes are very basic: lines, arches and semi-circles. In addition I included drawing version so you can see how to move across the block.

This style of video is a great idea. Thank you 😊
I will try to provide more of such content! ❤️❤️❤️
This is the perfect project for a quick gift, I love orange peel. Quilts don't have to be complicated to be beautiful as we know. It will be at least a week before I can sandwich mine for quilting; I came down sick this weekend, almost a year from the same day last year, can't stop coughing to quilt, or type for that matter. 😒🙄, did not expect it because it's almost unheard of for me to be ill ) Just popped in to comment. Have a great week, Gosia. ~Cynthia
I am very sorry to hear you are not well. I hope you get better soon. It is diffciult to be creative when sick. I love sich simple scrappy quilts. For me this is an essence of patchwork. And such simple quilting patterns are for all. I like to make such quilt from time t time, only so I can stich it in a such simple way. They are somewhat extra in their simplicity. Extra love, extra care...
@@quiltingnerd Thank you, sweet friend.
This video is the inspiration for my next quilting project. I volunteered to FMQ 2 charity quilts for my guild. I’m so excited, because this is an opportunity to learn and build my skill without the cost for fabric and batting. The first quilt is VERY bright colors with alternating 9 patch and solid print of donuts. The bright colors overpower the quilting designs, so simple is the way to go. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
This is a nice way to quilt scrappy quilt. It is interesting enough but not demanding on your time. I used similar patterns on a scrap quilt for a young collage student. It was just the perfect balance between love, predicted use and cost. I think you are wonderful to give your time and to make a quilt for a person in need. It is not only about gaining the skill, as we love all the quilts we make. ❤️❤️❤️
You are sooo right. I often forget to appreciate the finished project because I get so caught up in the learning and creativity part. Thanks again for sharing your skill and motivating me!!❤
Спасибо❤❤👍👍
You are welcome ❤️❤️❤️
