I disagree with the premise in 2 senses: firstly that for it to be a pocket camera you need a small lens, not point having the l mount if you don’t have many compact lenses. Secondly, mah griii 😢
What is missing from this video is the Fuji shutter. This will be beneficial to photographers only but it is a big deal. X100 cameras has a leaf shutter which can shoot with flashes at any speed without HSS, this is making smaller flashes much more powerful and if you add the wide and tele converters you can have 3 lenses... The S9 do not have even a single curtain shutter and is not capable of shooting with flickering lights indoors or at night... LUTs - for me this is the future and it is a big deal. I find it easier to use and better than incamera recipes.
we don't need viewfinder, that's why we are looking for a compact camera. If I want a viewfinder, I just buy another type of camera. What's hard to understand for all you camera reviewers? That's so clear...
I would say the Fuji is the worst, absolute worst because you cant buy it, second hand your likely getting scammed, and the markup is wildly unjustified. The fact that people still havent got their bodies after ordering at launch is borderline insane.
NGL I picked up a Sony ZV-1 for $350 on FB market place. Best pocket cam with built in ND, articulating screen, and fast f1.8 lens w/ zoom options at f2.8. Just don’t take it on a jog cause stabilization is 💩

Still prefer the A7C. At least it has an EVF (even if it's not very comfortable to use), but the AF is very good, there are plenty of lenses of all brands and sizes and has mechanical shutter. I had one briefly and loved using it with a Loxia 35 f/2. Before it I had a X100V but, whilst very fun to use, ended up selling it because it just couldn't compete with the Sony. Perhaps the strongest point of the S9 is the video, though. I only have experience with stills.

Considering that the S9 is readily available and the X100vi is unobtainable…I feel like the S9 is the best (only) choice.
I love my x100vi - I don't consider it a "budget" camera but when compared to Q2 or Q3 it's definitely budget. BUTHATINTERNALNDISFANTASTIC
THATINTERNALNDGETSMYCHESTPOUNDIN
The S9 just dunks on fuji for video autofocus and stability
Lumix....GANG !!! (And Fuji too though. I have both lol.)
all cameras are kinda cool heh
@@ZachMayfield yessir !!!
I disagree with the premise in 2 senses: firstly that for it to be a pocket camera you need a small lens, not point having the l mount if you don’t have many compact lenses. Secondly, mah griii 😢
Hello! i chose S9, and i am happy!
s9 seems to hold up strong
if it had a evf i would totally love it but nah. i shoot like 90% vertical with EVF so for me its just a necessity
i feel that, it's def a huge bummer. I'm holding out hope that a more "pro" version will have one but who knows
@@ZachMayfield a mark 2 with evf and they would win in the compact game. So close
Ricoh or iPhone. Next!
Def need to get my hands on a RicO
@@ZachMayfield you can put both hands in .. I mean on mine 👀
made it home…MOM!
Linux S9 is so good for videos and TH-camrs.
If only I had enough cash to buy both... Or just one lol
Anyone else distracted by the screensaver on his monitor?
PS1 menus are better than what I'm saying anyway
If you want pancakes. Consider the Leica CL 18mm or 23mm
S9 has some shortcomings but it's full frame, ibis, and AF are enough to win over the X100VI overhyped LOL
Sigma FP for the win
the answer is obviously bmpcc og
needs a car battery to stay on long enough for a clip tho
@@ZachMayfield you have a car, do u? checkmate
bro your son was smack talking that kid
is the best fullframe in the room with us ,mister shill?
Why any new or older camera, has to be compared with X100VI ? Is it THE reference? Why??
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN!
I LOVE YOU THO
The best camera is the one you have with you, and judging by preorders getting cancelled you will never have the X100VI with you 😂, S9 wins 😝
yeah it took me soooo long just to find a rental

What is missing from this video is the Fuji shutter. This will be beneficial to photographers only but it is a big deal. X100 cameras has a leaf shutter which can shoot with flashes at any speed without HSS, this is making smaller flashes much more powerful and if you add the wide and tele converters you can have 3 lenses... The S9 do not have even a single curtain shutter and is not capable of shooting with flickering lights indoors or at night...
LUTs - for me this is the future and it is a big deal. I find it easier to use and better than incamera recipes.
LOL, S9 have Synchro Scan, that's much better than any camera without this feature to shoot in flicker light
@@DuyTran-hy2kx it was going to be if the sensor is faster :D sync scan will not fix the banding in your photos.
we don't need viewfinder, that's why we are looking for a compact camera.
Just don’t take it on a jog cause stabilization is 💩
I'll check it out!
I have the ZV-1M2 and it is a great pocket cam I just wish it had 10bit color. But you can get that on the new ZV-E10 II though it’s a bigger form factor.
Good choice :)
Was that Taco Bell on a plate???
#FujiJuice 🎉
never forget
Why do we allow these to be called "pocket cameras" ... BS needs to stop
Ricoh or a phone, these two are not pocket at all
i have huge pockets so
🇺🇸
Fuji autofocus is laughable compared to nikon’s autofocus which simple bad.
I only have experience with stills.
when will youtube stop with these paid (sponsored) reviews..
no camera brand paid me bruh, I bought this stuff
lumix s9 is huge cripple hammer , fujifilm is better
Nah, that’s all on your head. Actually using the camera and haven’t had any issues. Don’t let the internet fool you. This camera isn’t for weddings or long ass interviews and most of us don’t use 15 minute clips in our edits so just learn how to start/stop and keep your clips short. It’s how narrative films are made anyway.
@@phoenixprjct the last statement yes but why would you invest this camera unless you real noob. Is best lumix remove the time limit inorder to gain sales
@@youfollow_ Great for super minimal setups. Pocket cam for amazing street stuff. 6k open gate anamorphic with IBIS for $1,200. Ridiculous. For me it’s a third light body and great for shooting handheld clips with another camera rolling a wide shot. Honestly, none of those issues people have are an issue for me.
