I made it a couple nights ago, and had to doctor it a little to items on hand (used honey instead of brown sugar, no cabbage, and used sweet potatoes instead of regular ones) still came out awesome. I also skipped airfrying the veggies as they were a little too soft. Told my dad about it and he said back when he was a firefighter, there was an older Polish guy in his house that would finish the corned beef under the broiler in the oven to get the same glazed crust on the top.
This video was great. I loved how the Ninja could both pressure cook and roast the product at the end. I like my results in the pressure cooker, but I think this kicks it up to a new level with a roasted taste. I don't have a Ninja, but I think I'll try broiling the beef, potatoes and cabbage after pressure cooking for a similar result. Thank you!
I love the way you instruct the masses. Keep it going girl, I am new to Ninja foodie and turn to you for a lot of way to cook in it. Happy St Patrick's Day to all. I'm making this recipe tomorrow for the fam. enjoy the beef.

This corned beef was amazing! I usually eat it once a year and don’t miss it after I have it, BUT, after eating this corned beef I will have to make it again soon! Thank you for sharing your delicious twist!
I went a bit untraditional this Christmas and made a corned beef instead of a rib roast. I used this recipe and my Foodi and it was AMAZING. The flavor is outstanding. Just finished eating and went straight to leave a comment LOL it was that good! Appreciated the tips about the flat vs point cut as well. The leftovers are going to make an amazing corned beef hash for breakfast tomorrow!!
Oh my gosh! This was soooooo gooood! Made this last evening after my husband came home with a 'roast' he thought; it was a corned beef a point cut but right away, I went on Louise's website and youtube and found 2 recipes. One with sous vide would have been about 24 hours and I just wanted to have it for dinner last night. No question it's hands on, about 3 hours but so would an oven roast dinner, but this was actually much better. Some of the cabbage charred during AF but was still so good. I might decrease the AF time. This is a keeper. If you've been hesitating, try it! Thanks Louise and Jeff for all you do for us, food and foodie ;)
Louise, Made this corned beef recipe and it was absolutely the BEST! There are many St Paddy’s day brisket recipes out there, and I did a “test run” of another recipe earlier in the week, (using a much smaller brisket and a Guinness Stout) Never pressure cooked a corned beef brisket before- just wanted to see what the end result would taste like. It was very tasty & flavorful, but then I came across your video and decided your recipe was the one I was going to make today (Sunday) All I can say is O-M-G! The Air Fry portion of the recipe just brings it to a whole other level. That caramelization, along with the Balsamic Vinegar, is what makes this recipe sing! Every single person at the family gathering complimented me and raved on the brisket, and & how that same flavor carried through to that of cabbage, the “Frankenstein” carrots ( I used the HUGE ones that look like a science experiment gone wrong-LOL) and ‘taters. I’ve gotten compliments on my brisket dishes in the past, but NEVER like this! I am sold on this recipe!! ❤️❤️❤️ This will def be my “go to” dish any time I get that craving for good ol’ brisket! Thanks for sharing!
I am beyond thrilled to hear this! I know you like good food and take the time to research and properly prepare things, so I consider this a great compliment of my recipe! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for discovering that extra sauce mix to pour over the roast at the end because its taste fabulous. It does seem like its back and forth but Im sure it was become easier each time one makes it. The meat is so tender omg!!!!
I'll tell you I've made this four or five times and I'll never revert back to my old methods. The balsamic vinegar makes it so much better! I love this recipe so much, and that's coming from someone that never follows recipes.
Wha? This is one’s of the easiest meals to prep, and 1 1/2 hrs max in a pressure cooker is pretty short too, considering it can cook completely unsupervised
Do you have a cook book? Please have a cook book..I am back for the SECOND time to look for ingredients to make this AGAIN because your videos are amazing and your food ideas are excellent. I bought a ninja foodi cookbook and uh no, the food ideas were not as complete or simple or extra and beautiful as you do!

Made this tonight and it was the BEST corned beef and Cabbage I have Ever Eaten! I skipped the carrots and potatoes and basted the meat with extra sauce after AC for 6 minutes then AC 8 minutes more! Don't Skip The Balsalmic Vinegar and char the cabbage best ever! Thank You, Louise! Your BEST Recipe!!

Getting ready to make this for the up coming St. Patty's day (2021). If I was not to use cabbage would I still put the corn beef on the lower rack in the pressure cooker with a cup of water and seasoning packet???? I cannot wait to make it again!!!!
@ The Salted Pepper, you so remind me of my wee Mammy , when she used to make this. That's the way she used to make cornbeef, only she had to make it in the oven. She had to nurse the cornbeef. My wee Mammy had a quarter Irish in her & 75% Scottish in her, the same as me.Paddy's day was kinda special to us.
What great memories! Our family, on my dad's side, is Irish. St. Patrick's Day has always been special to us too. My mom always made a corned beef and cabbage, but she boiled hers.
@@TheSaltedPepper My wee Mammy boiled hers 1st, then she put it in the oven to enhance the flavours. You so remind me of my Mammy , although of course you're far younger than she was. In saying that she was still young when she died.
I'm so sorry to hear that your mom has passed away, that is so incredibly tough. Sounds like she was a smart woman in the kitchen! The oven really does enhance the flavors and that is why I decided to Air Crisp the corned beef. YUMMY!
@@TheSaltedPepper She passed away in December 1986 & My Daddy passed away in Jan 1979. I was only 18 when I lost my Dad & 25 when I lost my Mum. I know that they're at peace now & not in pain. I know that they're in Heaven, & I'll see them again someday. Life goes on aye .
I lost my dad when I was 18 too. It is very difficult and I still miss him very much after 30 years. He died on March 18th and I know he waited so that St. Patrick's Day was still a happy day for our family. I know he has been my angel all these years guiding me through life. I can't imagine losing both parents at such a young age. My mom is still going strong and feisty as ever!
great recipe. I am new to the ninja foodi and this is one of my first trial. Loved it. Only twist I did was to go a little bit lighter on the sugar with the glaze and added it on top of he corned beef in two times to avoid over caramelizing the meat. it worked very well and allowed the glaze to penetrate a littel bit further inside the meat. I also flipped the meat around half way after to coat both sides with glaze. I used half of the glaze on each side. I loved the cabbage texture using the 7 mins timing. Soft but still with some crush in it. to compensate a bit for the reduced sugar content of the glaze I used a teaspoon of mushroom powder (lion's mane). It thicken the glaze a bit more and gives a nice umami flavor. I got about 2 cup of final broth in the foodi and stained it to add to the final serving plate and it is delicious. Would also be very nice addition to any soup.
Wow that recipe looks sooo good!! I will be making this soon! Thanks again my friend for all you do for our taste buds! PS, your kitchen looks beautiful!
My 8 week old puppt is coming home on March 16th and my family is arriving on March 17th! I'll have your make ahead breakfast burritos ready and then we are going to make this Recipe. It should be a riot! Plus I saw where you will have your Irish Soda bread recipe soon. Can't wait, will make ahead!

You make me envious when you test taste your foods you demonstrate for us! Makes my mouth water and gets my saliva glands going full speed!! 😋 I love your presentations and how you explain about the Foodi’s accessories and which ones to use for various cooking foods. In this presentation you even explained how to cut cabbage! Did you buy packaged corn beef or beef brisket from the meat market? Carolyn from “Homesteading Family” TH-cam channel demonstrates how to brine your own corn beef so not to buy the store bought package with seasonings. When I get around to home brining beef brisket I’m going to use organic beet powder to turn the meat red while it is the brine so it looks like real corn beef! I’ve always pressured cooked corn beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes but I will definitely try your recipe in my new Ninja Foodi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, cooking experience and time with us! You are awesome! 👍🏼
Thank you so much! I did buy packaged corned beef, but I really want to make my own. I will look up that channel, thank you for sharing! I like to make as much as I can at home, but never plan ahead for things like corned beef! LOL The Ninja Foodi is quite incredible! Congrats on your new Foodi, you are going to love it!
May I just say...I love you. You are an awesome person and your personality makes me smile. Three of my passions in life are cooking, gardening, and fishing. If you start doing fishing and gardening shows I'll propose to you on TH-cam ;-) Just kidding...I'm not being creepy. I love your attention to detail that shows when you cook. Thank you for sharing you recipes. I have binge-watched so many of your videos. I am definitely an enthusiastic fan of yours. I like making seasonal dishes. Perhaps the two recipes of yours I look forward to making the most is the Gumbo and this one. I am also a wing lover. Keep the videos coming. Recently I made jambalaya with shrimp, chicken, and sausage in the Foodi for my coworkers...big hit. I will be making corned beef next week.
When I seen how you cooked this in the foodie, I couldn’t wait to try it. Oh my goodness was this yummy 🤤. My husband said, “Don’t loose this recipe, definitely making it this way again.”

You're so knowledgeable about food and cooking. I'm so curious, do you have a culinary background or is this all just stuff you've learned from home cooking and that you've learned from others? You sound just like my cooking teacher did. It's great!
That's so nice of you to say. I just learned things along the way, I've always loved to cook. Teaching is also something I enjoy very much. I did own a BBQ restaurant for a little while, so I learned things there too!
Hi Louise, I am making your corn beef. However I have a flat cut Pearl Grey 2.53 pound corn beef. There is no flavor packet with this corn beef. I will put it and the cabbage in my foodi for 7 minutes to PC. Then I will remove the cabbage and put the corn beef back in to PC, how long should I cook the corn beef since it it s quite a bit smaller than your 4 pound corn beef? I believe 45 minutes will be too long.
I am so sorry. I replied to this earlier, but apparently it didn't post. I hope it turned out for you! I would cut the time by 10 minutes and check it.
Hi! I made this yesterday and I loved the meat, but didn’t care at all for the veggies. I’ll make this again, but only the meat. Thank you for sharing!
Going to be making this recipe this weekend. I couldn't find that flat cut in my grocery store unfortunately. Had to op for the tip brisket and the amount on most was under 4 lbs but i found one that was 4.15 lbs. Actually i did see one that looked like yours but it said "round" I should have asked the butcher if that mean't it was a different cut and not a brisket at all but ran out of time. Also, when u say use Grey Poupon Dijon mustard "country style" do u mean "Harvest whole ground"? Anyway, i am super excited about this dish even though my wife is not a corn beef fan, her mom is! I think i could make her a fan though after watching this video! thanks a million for all you do here on TH-cam!
The jar of Grey Poupon just said country style. It has coarse ground mustard in it. I'm sure anything you have will work out just fine! I'm excited that you will be making this and I can't wait to hear how it turns out. I hope your wife loves it too! My husband is not a fan of corned beef and he loves this one!
@@TheSaltedPepper Ok thanks! I will def let you know. PS. gonna put my laptop on the kitchen counter and play your video the entire time just so i don't screw this up. lol

I love watching your videos! I’ve followed many of your recipes and they’ve ALWAYS been absolutely delicious!! I’d like to make this but I don’t have the air fryer basket that you used here. I only have the air fryer tray that sits low inside the pot. Will this make any difference? Thanks!!
I made it tonight (finished at least) I wish I could add a picture before my plate is gone! Lol . My husband made your corned beef from a couple or few years ago and that was great! You did it again, 😊 when’s your cookbook coming out??????
That looks so big for a 6.5 qt. I have an 8 qt. Instant Pot, and the air fry basket is much smaller looking than that. Can't wait to try this out on my very first diy corned beef I brined myself. (Can't find it where I am currently staying in south Texas). I love watching you cook!
Hi, I have a 2.53 pound pearl grey corn beef, it does not have a flavor packet. I am cooking (PC) the cabbage and the corn beef for 7 minutes then I will put the corn beef back in. How much time should I give it since it is quite a bit smaller than your 4 pound corn beef. 45 minutes would probably be too long.
I would probably go 35 minutes and check it. You can always put it back under pressure for a few minutes or roast it for bit on a low temp (250) if it needs to cook longer before you air crisp it. As far as the flavor packet goes, I think you will be fine with the extra spices I call for in the recipe. Let me know how it turns out!
Wowza!! Most Excellent! Worth the effort it took to make it! Gonna have to make it a couple more times so it doesn't take as long. Started at 4 in the afternoon...ate at 8 pm. But well worth It! I'll just start sooner...A++++
I am very excited to make this. I've never made it before simply because I've never been a fan (despite being super Irish lol). This version looks incredible though and I'm willing to give it a go. I'm curious, what kind of beer you could use though?
is there a print for this corned beef and cabbage did make yummy but a lot to it and the balsamic vinergar had two types but used the glaze but coud have used the liquid but turned out great Rose
What if I just wanted to cook the corned beef alone? how would you recommend cooking. Pressure time and air fry time and how much liquid would you use and attachments. PLEASE!!!!
I'm not sure what you mean by attachments, but you would pressure cook the corn beef on the rack with 2 cups of liquid, same seasoning, pressure cook on high for 55 minutes and natural release for 15-20. Then remove the broth from the inner pot. Put the corn beef either on the rack or in the basket and drizzle with glaze. Air Crisp on 400 for 20-25 minutes or until the fat has crisped up. You can adjust the temp down if you think the glaze is burning. Hope you like it!

I finally made this last night and it was delicious. We will do left overs tonight... Thanks for all of your super recipes...
WOW! thank you so much! I am working on a cookbook idea, but they take quite a while to write and publish. I am so glad you are enjoying the recipes so far!
Another amazing recipe Louise! Thank you. I finally did this today. Wow! Wow! Wow!
Glad you liked it!!
This was Awesome!!!!! Made it last night for my family and my wife LOVED IT.
This makes me so happy! I am so glad you guys liked it!
I love when a bite of homemade good food brings a giggle and "oh man".
LOL! I can't help myself! LOL
i just got my foodi and this is the first cornbeef made in it and omgosh… awesome even without the sauce! thank you so much for sharing. your my go to girl now with recipes for my foodi! :)
Glad you liked it!!
Just had to write I made this on St. Patrick's Day and it was awsome!!! Only way to make it.. Thanks for the videos!!!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it!
That's wonderful!
I made this without the sugar as I can't have it but I used every other ingredient and it was delicious. My husband loved it too
Wonderful!
🍀My Irish eyes (and taste buds) are smiling!🍀 Excellent video!
Thank you!
Just made this. Awesome. Taking to the kids now. Happy St Patrick’s day to all

Sounds like a good time! I hope you enjoy the recipes!
Thank you, I NEVER use my large chef's knife, always afraid of it. But I'm glad yu convinced me to use it, so easy to cut up my cabbage!
A good sharp chef's knife is key! Glad you are using it! Keep it sharp.
Made this recipe-Everyone loved it. Thanks for Sharing
Great to hear!
The BEST ever! I was worried about the sauce/glaze & wow am I glad I made it. Thank you & Erin go Bragh ☘️
I have been waiting a year to try this recipe. It was delicious. Thank you.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I have to get cabbage and potatoes, I have the corned beef...off to the market love this recipe and love you too girl, subscribed and anticipating this delicious recipe thank you!
You are such a great story teller/host. You should be on a cooking show!
Thanks so much!
Yes....omg, this is the best corned beef cabbage I've ever had. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are awesome.
Thank you so much! I'm trhilled you enjoyed it!
The corn beef and cabbage recipe turned out very good! Thank you!
YAY!!! I'm so happy to hear this!
This is one of Louise's recipes that i dream about. I've made it 3 times over the past year, and im at the aircrisping stage right now for my fourth. Make this dish!!!
This turned out great - about 2 hrs start to finish, but it's now the only way my family wants Corned Beef and Cabbage, LOVE the Sauce - I used 2 cups of Corona Beer with my cabbage YUM!
I did this yesterday and when I tell you it was good!!! This was a wonderful meal. Thanks so much
Glad you liked it!!
My husband loved this. Wish I was well enough to taste it! Ty💜
When I seen how you cooked this in the foodie, I couldn’t wait to try it. Oh my goodness was this yummy 🤤. My husband said, “Don’t loose this recipe, definitely making it this way again.”
Glad you liked it!!
Made this over the weekend. AWESOME!!!!! Thank you.
I'm so happy to hear that you liked it!
That is the best I have ever seen, Thanks I will be doing this for sure.
I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you!
This is awesome looking, you are making me hungry, I will be trying this recipe, for sure.... and your sauce looks very tasty........can't wait to try it out....thankyou
Thanks so much and I hope you enjoy it!
Absolutely delicious. Finally put my Foodi to good use. Your recipe is a keeper. Thank you.
My first time making corn beef and it turned out good thank you for this video
Delicious, made it for dinner it was awesome. Thanks Louise.
Glad you liked it!!
My mouth is watering , going to cook this tomorrow!!! Love your recipes
I hope you love it!
Seen some of your videos and had to subscribe!! Going to try this one in near future.
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks very yummy! I made something similar. Now I am hungry!
Thank you!
I made this for St Patty’s Day, it was to die for delicious, I followed the instructions to the T, next year though I want to make a 6 pound brisket!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I would add 15 minutes or so for a 6 pound brisket.
Hi Louise! This recipe absolutely amazing! You just made me into a corned beef fan!
How did you learn to cook so well? Tfs! ❤☺
Thanks! Hope you give it a try!
The Salted Pepper that's awesome! You can tell that you enjoy it and have a passion for it.
Were they cooked too much or not enough? I'm glad you enjoyed the meat though!
No, the vegetables were cooked perfectly; unfortunately, I didn’t like the way they tasted. But, my tastebuds have changed over the years.
Trying this today!!! So excited ❤
Oh, it looks so good! Can't wait to try it.
I can't wait to hear how you like it!
PS. gonna put my laptop on the kitchen counter and play your video the entire time just so i don't screw this up. lol
@@nighthawk_predator1877 Here is the written recipe if that helps. thesaltedpepper.com/corned-beef-cabbage-in-the-ninja-foodi/
@@TheSaltedPepper Thank U! I should have said i had printed it out but i also do better when i have visuals and no one does recipes like u do, (I have watched tons of videos so i know what i am saying. lol) I want to make sure i get this exactly right. Your husband is a lucky guy!
@@nighthawk_predator1877 Thank you so much! He eats well, that's for sure! If you run into trouble or have questions, I am always willing to help!
Trying tonight... can't wait
I hope you enjoyed it!
I love watching your videos! I’ve followed many of your recipes and they’ve ALWAYS been absolutely delicious!! I’d like to make this but I don’t have the air fryer basket that you used here. I only have the air fryer tray that sits low inside the pot. Will this make any difference? Thanks!!
I would use the rack instead.
Delicious recipe! Will definitely make it again!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Yep!! Gonna make this for sure!! Great Job!!
Thank you! I can't wait to hear how you like it!
I made it tonight (finished at least) I wish I could add a picture before my plate is gone! Lol . My husband made your corned beef from a couple or few years ago and that was great! You did it again, 😊 when’s your cookbook coming out??????
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm working on a printed cookbook, but it take a while.
I should never watch your videos when I'm hungry! Haha!! This dish looks so amazing, I have it all printed out for a New Year's eve dinner. Thank you!
I like the you explain how and why to do things
Thank you!
I'll just start sooner...A++++
Thanks again...gonna make it next week...love ya Louise from Missouri
Parrot Lover I can’t wait to hear how you like it!
I have to be honest. I was a little worried about the glaze. But omg... this is only recipe I will ever use ❤️❤️
You aren't alone, so many people have said they were nervous to try the glaze, but when they do, they are happy! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Just made this, it’s delicious! Wish I bough a bigger beef!
I'm so glad you liked it!
Looks great! Going to try tonight! Could you add onion to this? If so, what step would you recommend?
You can definitely add onion and I would add it during the last PC time for soft onions and during the last AC time for firmer onions.
I am very excited to make this. I've never made it before simply because I've never been a fan (despite being super Irish lol). This version looks incredible though and I'm willing to give it a go. I'm curious, what kind of beer you could use though?
You can use any kind of beer you like. I hope you enjoy it!
Can’t wait to make this!
I hope you enjoyed it!
is there a print for this corned beef and cabbage did make yummy but a lot to it and the balsamic vinergar had two types but used the glaze but coud have used the liquid but turned out great Rose

What if I just wanted to cook the corned beef alone? how would you recommend cooking. Pressure time and air fry time and how much liquid would you use and attachments. PLEASE!!!!
Also- your corned beef looked beautiful!!!
The Salted Pepper thank you for the quick response!!! Keep up the Ninja Foodi videos, I’ll be back to check you out! Happy St Paddys too!
@@bigirish5449 You are welcome! Happy St. Paddy's day to you as well. I hope you love that corned beef!
