The little robot in the tree is Tori-bot which is Toriyama's avatar for Dragon Ball. I think in the anime he has a tiny cameo here but appears a couple of more times later, he has more cameos in the manga. He says "Penguin Village this is not" which is a reference to his previous series Dr Slump, which takes place in Penguin Village. Pilaf's voice actor is Chiba Shigeru, he's done voices for loads of different anime. A pichi pichi girl is usually left untranslated but is basically a spritely young girl or spunky energetic young girl. "Ossu! Ora Goku!" which Goku says in all the next episode previews is Goku's animated catchphrase that he says in every episode of every series apart from 1 special exception. Remember that Bulma flashes him because he will give her some reward, not for the Dragon Ball as she doesn't even know he has it yet and even he doesn't know what the reward will be.
I wasnt expecting to find this take on old comedy when I clicked this video but I find it to be the highlight. As someone older that grew up on uncensored 80's and 90's anime, watching someone react to these older stories is fun but always has me worry about the person feeling put off by this kind of humor. So I find your take the healthiest I have seen online in a long time, I will for sure watch more of your videos!
Back in the day, we watched Dragon ball in Mexico, i remember laughing like crazy fighting scenes between Goku and the Purple Ninja, you could sense the fight had no ill intentions, was a serious fight yet there was no hatred tho the irony at the end, 😅 The beauty of this is that i never realized it was a Japanese anime, in my heart till this day, i feel because Goku never cared about a beings appearance, a talking pig, a talking flyiny cat, talking goats, bears, to a green villain to a pink one, you never saw them as less or cared about their appearance, just about their personalities which define them as characters, i never knew that ppl cared so much about race, i never saw a person and cared about the color of their skin,,, idk im just saying, if i haave a child when he turns 6 we gonna watch frim monday to friday one episode per day, till we finish all of series,

Maybe there were multiple releases of the dub. The one I’ve always watched (watched the series like 8-10 times), it always shows that scene like this. No more censored.
Yeah, I hate the censorship era we live in now. You can see a young girl just taking a bath with her mother in an anime scene, and people will call it underage depiction of child sexuality, its ridiculous. The whole point of this era of comedy that go nagai started even before akira toriyama was to try and represent child's innocence and naivety along with in some cases adolescent puberty, especially when a character like goku doesn't know these things and reacts naturally to them as he sees it. Such as Bulma flashing master roshi because quite frankly she's young and doesn't really care if someone see's her undergarments, all she cares about is that dragon ball. Though obvously she didn't know she was not wearing any undies. But in any case In my eyes there really isn't much wrong with this but society has twisted our moral views on what is appropriate and what isn't. I mean we were all kids at one point and we all went through similar stages of things. Obviously, Japan's cultural views on this kind of stuff is just vastly different to other countries unfortunately and america is probably the worst offender. Shame because there is so many great 80's anime out there but big content creators will not react to because of its "suggestive content".

You laugh at it because you know that's inappropriate, that's the under statement, that why it's generally accepted.

80's, early 90's were the best for comedy, could joke about everything. Nowadays a lot of people get easily offended by mere jokes. Just like Archie Bunker or Al Bundy, can't make shows like that anymore.

dragon ball is super censored in the english dub I know bc despite being hispanic i played the games dubbed in english and some very key parts of the plot are also changed for it's too sexual or it's too dark or violent times haveng change a lot since now colored hair people of twitter are the now days's censors

It's hard to watch Dragon Ball when you're an adult. The anime is of poor quality, the plot is childish. But after episode 215 and first DBZ, you won’t be able to stop.
Well, if it also contains perverted things, then it can't be completely childish, it's more for teenagers, but statistics have shown that the generation growing up in the 90s DB and DBZ are more popular with adults
Hard disagree. Rewatching Dragon Ball again was such a breeze of fresh air. It has so much more charm and a childlike sense of adventure. At some point DBZ only cared about fighting, transformations and power creep. OG Dragon Ball is where it's at.
