    I've looked all over TH-cam for air fried chicken wings done in the Ninja Foodi and finally struck gold with your video. You have the best looking crispy wings done in the Ninja Foodi minus using baking powder, flour, etc on TH-cam in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

    Love that you do them 2 ways and don’t even bother giving an opinion on which way you thought was better.

      Your video was probably better. We'll check it out! - J

    I did it the first way you showed in my Ninja Foodi 6.5 tonight. I've done it other ways before and wished they were as crispy as these. A+ Recipe!

    Do u think it's necessary to coat them a little with a baking powder and flour mix or does it come out crispy enough to not use that

      @TheAverageKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey. Thanks for the comment. I’ve tried both, I like the texture with the baking powder. Cheers. Marc

    Thank you for sharing! I watched several videos before trying this for the first time in my Ninja and chose yours to try first. Air fryer setting at default 390 for 30 minutes was perfect. Thank you!

    Very helpful, going to test drive our new Foodi tonight. And since I'm driving. your simple method looks like, my Wife may not need to supervise... Thank-you.

    So let's say i wanted to add Old Bay seasoning or something, at what stage would i add it? Before putting them in? Midway through cooking or after?

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Love old bay. You can add it right away if you wish ! Marc

    Great video. Silly question. But how did you double the rack? Mine came with just the reversible rack.

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey. Thanks for the comment. If I’m understanding your question correctly, mine came with a two piece rack. So it can either be one level or two levels. Hope this helps. Marc.

    • @ccalexander1924
      @ccalexander1924 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine only came with one black rack / grill looking thing

    • @tendimuchenje7984
      @tendimuchenje7984 ปีที่แล้ว

      @CC Alexander the double one is a separate one which you have to purchase separately. I only have the reversible one as well that comes with it.

    This may be a dumb question. but do you need to flip the wings when using the racks? I seen some videos where the wings were flipped half way through but only using basket. Great video!

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You don’t technically need to, but it wouldn’t hurt them. But I wouldn’t bother. Cheers. Marc

    Love the air fryer! We juje up the wings with keg spice. Have you fried an entire chicken in it yet?

      Awesome to hear Marj !! - I haven’t tried a full chicken yet, but I plan to. Have you ? - Marc

      I've done it.
      Pressure cooked it for 25 minutes then air crisped it upside down afterwards in the basket until it reached the colour and crispiness I wanted.

      Would be way quicker, the meat around the bone takes the longest to cook generally. Marc

    Which ones were better? (Crisp, taste, moisture) Basket or rack?

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question actually. The basket they tend to bunch up. So you need to shake them all the time. The rack you can put less, but they don’t touch. Marc

    I have a question to ask. Can't you use flour in the air fryer? Or not. Someone please let me know whoever has a ninja foodie or the air fryer. Thanks.
