  • My 911 Turbo finally got new skirts! For those of you who have been following for a while, you know I picked these skirts up last year but never got around to mounting them until now. I wanted to have them on for summer shows and Monterey Car Week coming up next month.

    ❤😮😊 I love the color of the paint job. What kind is it? Is it strawberry brandy wine if so, that is one hell of a sweet Porsche. Keep up the good work bro please take care. Have a good week.

      Thanks Doug! It’s actually a rare color called Orient Red, and Porsche only made it for a few years (I think 01-03).
      Hope you have a good one!

    I've been looking for turbo sideskirts and can't find anything. Where did you get these?

      Ooh I actually got really lucky and found them locally on FB marketplace! The closest thing I could find was the side skirts for NB 996s though. Not sure if that helps :(

    My rusted torx screws aren't coming out...one snapped and 3 are rounding. Any tips?

      Gotcha! Have you ever tried drilling through screws? Here's a quick tutorial I found: th-cam.com/video/BIzmS7IJL0Q/w-d-xo.html

      @@kalibao.official wondering if they can come off even with snapped heads. Looking at diagram it looks like it's held by speed nuts. As you've been in there in yours maybe you have some insight?

    What wing is that ?

    • @kalibao.official
      @kalibao.official  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a Misha wing! Previous owner had it installed, and the pump gave out about a year after I bought it, so I bought a kit on eBay to have it permanently raised. I have a picture DIY on the rennlist forums if you ever need it 😀

    Im replacing my stadard skirts, do you need to jack the car up and remove the wheels or can you do without?

    • @kalibao.official
      @kalibao.official  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! You may be able to do it without jacking it up, depending on your ride height and wheel setup, but you can get in the fender wells and underneath with a T25 torx bit and a short ratchet (I had a ratcheting bit holder from Harbor Freight for a few dollars). Good luck, and lmk how it goes!

      Did the originals have glue on it? Wondering if all I need is what comes in the box for the oem sills/skirts. Thanks man!

      My skirts didn’t have any adhesive attaching them to the car, which I was actually pretty surprised about! It was just the torx bolts along the bottom and clips on top holding it in

    Paint job not the greatest with orange peal all over. Next time you get something painted don’t just toss them in the back without protecting them…

    • @kalibao.official
      @kalibao.official  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yea that was totally my bad. I was going to actually do it myself, but materials were going to cost me around $160 for color matched paint in a spray can since I don't have a paint set up outside of spray cans, so I figured I'd bring it to a shop to do a marginally better job lol. And totally shouldn't be just tossing them in a truck bed to let them toss around!

      The orange peel had NOTHINGGGG to do with how they were transported.
      If you were trying to make 2 different points, it was lost on me until I thought about it
