Most people married to narcissist developed clinical depression in childhood. That’s cause our narcissist parent causes that malfunction in our brains and we naturally marry those who subconsciously remind us of mom or dad… hence domestic ab*se and why the victims don’t leave.

Did other people say that he said this at the funeral? Just curious. I assume if other people said he didn’t call her lazy that prior would bring them in to testify.

Tammy was sadly a victim of an abusive, and controlling POS husband, and 5 ungrateful kids that probably all believe she had a demon in her, and her body needed to die. My heart breaks for Tammy. I can’t imagine the ridicule and the emotional abuse she had to live with from a man that obviously did not love her, and her kids did nothing to protect her from him. They could have stepped up, they are all adults now. All this evidence, all this proof Chad despised Tammy… if anyone of those kids get up on that stand and testify to protect their father, there’s no way I could ever believe anything except they support what him and Lori did to Tammy 100%. There’s way too much evidence way too many facts that point the finger directly at Chad for murdering that young beautiful, vivacious woman that called him her husband.

Chad quit digging graves to self publish mormon post-apocalyptic fiction. And failed at that too until he used and exploited another woman's book and story to marginal success for a few years, but that was going bankrupt, too.
Tammy raised five children, had earned a college degree, worked full time and was likely the stable earner and insurer their entire marriage. And at 49 attended both advanced fitness and clogging classes and was training for a 5K. Yep, lazy, lazy. What a trial that must have been for Slug. 🙄

What strikes me, is I was genuinely convinced Tammy was in ailing health. I assumed she was, and Chad was simply using this as an excuse for her murder. I’d Heard- time and time again how all the family and close people in their lives “knew Tammy’s health was failing” and that she was very weak and sick all the time. It’s shocking how he pulled that out of his ass and tried to convince e everyone of it. He’s a major manipulator. Now, hearing all the people close in their lives either say “we had no idea, she was so healthy!” Or “she was always so healthy *but Chad told us* she was getting sicker/sicker”. It’s wild. That proves this shit was premeditated long before the crime occurred.

Priors condescending attitude has probably irritated them like it has us so far, so they may disregard any of his attempts at a "gotchya" moment. Hi Nate and East Idaho News! Thanks for being my cheery evening host every day despite the horrible topic. I found your interview with the Dr on religion and LDS so interesting and informative. I didn’t know so much! Slightly off topic, I saw that Hildebrant and Franke were at a women’s prison in UT named Purgatory. As a Catholic, I know Purgatory- even non- practicing we make a habit of living in it. Does LDS believe? Is it the same general concept? Also, have to apologize for that one rude person who was so insulted at the topic, and learning. That made me feel horrible. How rude. Nate, you worked hard to get that info to us in a non- dogmatic thorough and respectful manner. Thank you. She can go somewhere else. 😊

The Morman faith has taken quite a beating lately with these charges and trials. I believe it is important to understand that what members of the fringe groups have done is not representative of the Morman faith as a whole. And we must always remember it could be our religion next so it is wise to not judge an entire faith based on these extreme outliers. Again, thank you Nate! 🙏

I don't want Prior to get kicked off the case, maybe that's what he is trying to do, but someone on the Prosecution tream should point out that lying is no way to discredit a witness and show the jury a picture of the "upstairs loft" in that house, as condescendingly as he has been being to everyone else. 💥 That witness deserves credibility, not Prior, I tell ya...

Boyce won’t let him off the case. He’s a snake and he’s hoping that the prosecution doesn’t know better and that jurors didn’t catch these details in the evidence. If the prosecution is smart they will play this card at the very end in closing arguments and pull the rug out from under Prior. They can quote him, then simply play the two pieces of evidence that prove it’s a 2 story home in certain spots. And then drop the mic 😂

@@martijordak806 Yes a simple objection about leading the witness and facts not in evidence would have at least allowed this preserved the issue on the record. I'm thinking, though, that the prosecution has always planned to have an expert or LEO describe the house and emphasize the presence of the stairway and perhaps they are just giving credit to the competence of the jury to recall that what Pryor said early about the one story house and make them feel more positively toward that witness.

The facts are that Chad is a very poor speaker and a poor writer. He has depended on his father and wife to produce books written on a middle school level. He has depended on the kindness of others to get by. He left jobs that he needed. He declared bankruptcy twice, I believe. This means he walked away from debts, leaving others to suffer from his laziness. Finally, he tortured and robbed others of their lives so that he could lie by a pool in Hawaii. There are writings of the LDS founding fathers that lead con artists into creating cults. Thousands of innocents are deceeived by selective passages. If nothing is done, there will be more cults and more murders--just as there have been r e p e a t e d l y .

We can really use help sifting thru or sorting out what is mainstream LDS vs the confusing and extreme beliefs of the authors and defendants in this trial or were being twisted for their own ends. So thank you for shedding light on all this, so to speak~re what are Mormon traditions or actual LDS doctrine, and where Chad and Lori went totally rogue with some bizarre hybrid cobbling together of self serving themes that ultimately suited or simply justified their evil purposes. In particular their fixation upon multiple probations seems to have, like reincarnation, been a convenient means of minimizing murder and of cheapening life and trivializing the finality of death~a dangerous belief to promote esp when used to justify murder, while claiming some secret direct channel of communication or exclusive batline to heaven. God is love +

This man is never deserved wife like Tammy. I feel bad for Tammy. God give her peace and lots of love. Because these kids and husband doesn't deserve her.

It’s like Lori saying Charles was cheating on her and Adam was out to kill her. Pot calling kettle black.

This so-called expert on Mormon studies does not even sound like a Mormon. I am not LDS, but it is obvious he is not one, so how can he possibly be an expert on what they believe?

So you believe that a person has to believe in whatever they’ve spent years studying? That doesn’t make any sense.

There was so many things he wasn’t accurate about, it’s just made this whole topic even more confusing now.

Did Chad Daybell sign over the house to John Prior as part of payment? I could be completely wrong, but I thought I had heard something about it.

Yes he did, he mentioned it in the hearing where he asked to be removed from being chads defense attorney, he mentioned he wasn’t being paid anymore as Chad ran out of money so that was all he had to give to Prior

I don’t care how many credentials Dr Bowman has, is he LDS? Because I think this trial only truly makes sense if you are LDS. Not because Chad (the Larper Dungeon Master) follows the beliefs of the LDS church, but because the terminology helps things makes sense that the public wouldn’t understand.
As a member myself, I’ve been fascinated with this story because it’s just so outside normal Christianity or the LDS faith. Like this group, including Julie Rowe, is totally whack!! It’s more Dungeons and Dragons and less religion! But just like so many churches can produce outliers (think the Duggars’ brand of religion) that are way off normal Christianity, this is somewhat like that.
Although I think this is more about two sociopaths/psychopaths meeting and creating the perfect evil storm with multiple dead bodies in their wake. Ultimately this story is about sex and money.

1:06:40 I think it's straight up weird neither of you mentioned that you are LDS.
It's like when the missionaries offer to do yardwork on Facebook without disclosing they are missionaries recruiting.

Why do you think it’s weird??? It’s known , they just don’t mention it… see what discussing religion got slug and lorhor…

Thank you so much for your dedication to this horrific case! I’m watching you in Aus. on Wed. May 1 @2pm and I just love sitting down listening to you. I’m a retired nurse so the timing is perfect (mind you my husband thinks I’m nuts)!
