The COPS came to Lori's door doing a well check on J.J. requested by Kay Woodcock in the video we watched last week. Lori packed up what she could grab and they were in Hawaii the next day because Lori knew the Police would not stop until they physically saw J.J....That is what happened to that mission... they told cult members they took the portal to Hawaii

I BEEN saying this! From day 1 of this mess I have said I do not believe that Chad or Lori either one actually believed their wacko religion. Chad made everything up as he went along, to get as much attention as Julie Rowe, to sell a few books and to control his family. It was convenient for Lori to play along. She became the center of attention with their following. It went from praying and casting out the 'dark' in people to murdering those that Lori and Chad deemed dark and those people were the ones they could gain from financially and that stood in their way. It was narcissism and greed veiled by fake religious beliefs. They abandoned all that they preached to run off to Hawaii. Living in Hawaii childless and jobless was Lori's real dream. They started distancing themselves from their minions. I think that's what killed Alex. The realization that nothing they told him was true and he had committed atrocious acts.

In the 48hrs Interview Garth said he found his mother on the floor and it was said in HER bedroom not their bedroom and he said he put her back in bed no mention Chad was there or helped him. He said he then told Chad I think she's dead. This indicates Chad was not sleeping in the same room and it was Garth who found her. It supports the evidence Chad was actually sleeping upstairs in the "cosy cone" room and Garth came to him to inform him Tammy was dead.
Chad said he pulled on the sheet and it made Tammy fall off of the bed. He said that when they came to the scene to get Tammy. It was brought up in court. Dead bodies are very heavy and that it was highly unlikely.

Absolutely, it was so clear that they both knew what law enforcement were doing to find and then the comment he made while in the back of the police vehicle "I'm not coming back" he knew he was done! And the recording from Mel G showed me how both Chad & Lori believed they could convince people of their narratives. And of course the Alex phone pings at the burial sites, he was at JJ I believe 17 mins - who dug the hole? And Chad googling the wind direction day before Tylee. The wedding photos made me angry and disgusted!! I can't wait for the sentencing!

Apparently, she was especially close to Garth. It is clear by the evidence and Garth's statements that he found his mother. I sincerely hope he is able to honour his mother when he takes the witness stand by telling his truth regardless of the coercion of Chad in concocting a story to better support him. Chad takes the phone from him and tells the story. Chad didn't want people to know he and Tammy wont sleeping in the same bed. Garth said "he found her in "her bed". I hope Garth doesn't lie

I haven't heard one of the text exchanges that was in Lori's trial yet regarding Chad's discussions of light and dark spirits and when he declared one of Melanie Boudreaux's children a dark spirit and asked Lori if she wanted him to cause him pain. There was a lengthy exchange between Chad and Lori about the name of Tylee's dark spirit. This is very damning to Chad and thought maybe the defense managed to keep it out of this trial.
I'm wondering whether they're saving it for last for maximum impact and to be fully in context of the other evidence. In light of all the other evidence the jury has heard, they are less able to be swayed by Prior's 'this doesn't say they're going to murder the kids, right?'. That's what I'm hoping anyway.

First, I would like to say THANK YOU, Nate, for ALL of the unfiltered coverage. With that being said, I'm epileptic and have been for the majority of my life. My husband is my caregiver. He has witnessed some horrific seizures and i know for a fact they have traumatized him. He has held me so hard and cried about fears. For Chad to simply "write off" Tammy before, during and after her death as callously as he did, there is no excuse. He is guilty. A man who says they love their wife would never harm a hair on their head. They would pick them up and carry them. He never loved her. He doesn't even love himself.
I am not sure why I continue to watch you as there are MANY who cover this trial. And I am not even close to your neck of the woods. But I was pondering this last night and I think it has something to do with your obvious sense of integrity, your transparency, and your vulnerability. Nate, you are a true gentleman and probably the most kindhearted, considerate , true “people person”. Love the way you acknowledge the various people who come briefly through your life during your day. You were meant for your profession. About the witness order; sometimes you have to put witnesses on according to their availability. Police officers may be testifying in another case, other witnesses may have important appointments or sick. Some may have work-related obligations. The flow of the case is important but, particularly when the trial has been moved to another jurisdiction, it’s difficult to get the witnesses on when you’d like to for continuity of the trial “story”. There are also unforeseen breaks in a trial such as a juror being sick, the courts need to handle something emergent on another case or discussions between counsel and the court out of the jury’s view. A good attorney will try to accommodate their witnesses the best they can, even though under subpoena the witness would be obligated to come in. It’s a real art and when you’ve got more than three dozen witnesses like this one, it can be like heerding cats.

Melanie Gibb definitely pulled the rip cord and bailed out in the nick of time, didn't she? That woman dodged a huge bullet and clearly made a sweet deal for herself but never forget she was Lori's best friend,slept over at Lori's and participated in many of the fireside get togethers, the castings and all other meetings in support of Chad's cult. She is far from innocent and has alot to answer for too.

I cannot stop thinking about my own children and how distressed I would be if they no longer existed, if their bodies were gone, and how these evil, evil people killed these children. How could a mother do this? and Uncle Alex? How could so many have been involved in this? How did they actually go ahead with it, and not once, but twice! How terrified those kids would have been. And not only how did they perform the act, but they were then involved in reducing those bodies to what was left.

With all the damning evidence and witness testimonies, Chad's days are clearly numbered. He will go down for all this and rightly so. There will never be a punishment severe enough for either him or Lori after what they've done. It will be interesting when his son Garth takes the stand. It will be a nightmare for the defence and will only help seal Chad's fate..

Absolutely, it was so clear that they both knew what law enforcement were doing to find and then the comment he made while in the back of the police vehicle "I'm not coming back" he knew he was done! And the recording from Mel G showed me how both Chad & Lori believed they could convince people of their narratives. And of course the Alex phone pings at the burial sites, he was at JJ I believe 17 mins - who dug the hole? And Chad googling the wind direction day before Tylee. The wedding photos made me angry and disgusted!! I can't wait for the sentencing!

Apparently, she was especially close to Garth. It is clear by the evidence and Garth's statements that he found his mother. I sincerely hope he is able to honour his mother when he takes the witness stand by telling his truth regardless of the coercion of Chad in concocting a story to better support him. I agree Garth needs professional help after this, and I pray he gets it and can live a life honouring his late mother.

Can’t figure out why they haven’t charged Melani in Brandon’s shooting. They’ve charged Lori. Lori didn’t know his new address but Melani did. And then she tried to get the police to give her the kids when they were in their father’s custody.

Zulema almost became a victim herself. Lucky to be alive. Remember Alex had her lay on a tarp on their bed (for easy disposal) for a back rub- that's right, a tarp, and she did! Had no idea what he was thinking of doing to her. I guess he had second thoughts, and she's a little shy on brains.

I think Garth came home around 1 am. That is when Garth found her. Listen to the interview Garth gave, he said he found Tammy and he put her into bed. Garth then told Chad that he thought she was dead. Chad's story doesn't match what Garth said. Even on the 911 recording Garth stops and says I don't know. Chad takes the phone from him and tells the story. Chad didn't want people to know he and Tammy wont sleeping in the same bed. Garth said "he found her in "her bed". I hope Garth doesn't lie
Oh, such conflicting stories. I feel very sorry for Garth and all the kids for having to deal with the dishonesty of their father. It will greatly affect their emotional health. Such cognitive dissonance is dangerous. It will eventually take its toll.

The truth is being told as we speak! I’m sure the depression you struggled with is now released, I know it is because the source to your depression is exactly what murdered you, your husband. Years and years of gaslighting, being called lazy, telling someone they’re overweight brings on depression and unless you rid yourself of what makes you depressed, it will become increasingly worse and the only thing to stop it is to get away from the source of one’s depression, which of course in your case, would be your husband, Chad!!
Your husband didn’t appreciate what a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, friend…etc… you were, but we appreciate you and you are loved beyond word’s! Your husband didn’t appreciate what a devoted, strong woman to your faith you were, which is sad because he really could have learned a lot from you.
You were a person who loved children & animal’s❤ This is a trait that some people do not possess, yet it is a trait that shows just what a special person you were and one that anyone should possess to work with children and/or a trait that every human being should possess to be any type of spiritual leader.
Your children always protected you, like being a lookout so you could play a video game, or keeping a secret so you could have a pet, without your husband finding out because it seemed like he didn’t like animals or at least like them in the house.
Tammy, You were the best part of Chad and he went and murdered you😢 He murdered the one person your children loved, cherished and needed more than anything else in the world. Gutted his children of any security they had ever known. Left your children motherless and at least in Emma’s situation, took her best friend away.
I wish he could have been stopped before he got to you & your children(by taking their mother).

Something very weird with the Chad and Garth storylines of discovering Tammy’s body. Likely Alex and/or Chad suffocated Tammy and left her dead on the floor. Garth arrived home from his haunted house job and checked on mom, finding her dead-ice cold and rigor mortis so she’d been killed much earlier -
I agree. It will be very interesting when Garth takes the stand and an absolute nightmare for the defence. As if there isn't enough evidence against Chad, but no doubt this will seal Chad's fate. Garth definitely found Tammy, Chad coerced Garth into a false story, but the 911 call and Garth's interview with 48 Hours leaves no doubt, what happened. Tammy was brutally murdered by Chad and Alex. She was held down by one and suffocated by the other, then found by Garth, who had a close relationship with his mother. I hope he honours Tammy's memory by telling his truth.
Chad and Lori are equally responsible in the crimes that were committed against Tammy, Tylee, JJ and Charles...For Chad's kids to say that it was Lori's fault and she corrupted their Dad is BS....If that was true then when Lori was locked up Chad could have divorced Lori Vallow and claim that very thing & didn't...Which makes Chad's kids look even more stupid and in denial.

I haven't heard one of the text exchanges that was in Lori's trial yet regarding Chad's discussions of light and dark spirits and when he declared one of Melanie Boudreaux's children a dark spirit and asked Lori if she wanted him to cause him pain. There was a lengthy exchange between Chad and Lori about the name of Tylee's dark spirit. This is very damning to Chad and thought maybe the defense managed to keep it out of this trial.
I'm wondering whether they're saving it for last for maximum impact and to be fully in context of the other evidence. In light of all the other evidence the jury has heard, they are less able to be swayed by Prior's 'this doesn't say they're going to murder the kids, right?'. That's what I'm hoping anyway.
I hope and pray that Lindsay Blake does the closing statements.....She is the best lawyer in the court room...I could listen to Lindsay Blake read the ingredients on the box of any cereal and be on the edge of my seat...

First, I would like to say THANK YOU, Nate, for ALL of the unfiltered coverage.
With that being said, I'm epileptic and have been for the majority of my life. My husband is my caregiver. He has witnessed some horrific seizures and i know for a fact they have traumatized him. He has held me so hard and cried about fears. For Chad to simply "write off" Tammy before, during and after her death as callously as he did, there is no excuse. He is guilty. A man who says they love their wife would never harm a hair on their head. They would pick them up and carry them. He never loved her. He doesn't even love himself.
I wonder if Chad has had any visions about the outcome of his trial and whether he will get death or life in prison! He is just the lowest of low!

Nate, you are a true gentleman and probably the most kindhearted, considerate , true “people person”. Love the way you acknowledge the various people who come briefly through your life during your day. You were meant for your profession.
About the witness order; sometimes you have to put witnesses on according to their availability. Police officers may be testifying in another case, other witnesses may have important appointments or sick. Some may have work-related obligations. The flow of the case is important but, particularly when the trial has been moved to another jurisdiction, it’s difficult to get the witnesses on when you’d like to for continuity of the trial “story”. There are also unforeseen breaks in a trial such as a juror being sick, the courts need to handle something emergent on another case or discussions between counsel and the court out of the jury’s view. A good attorney will try to accommodate their witnesses the best they can, even though under subpoena the witness would be obligated to come in. It’s a real art and when you’ve got more than three dozen witnesses like this one, it can be like heerding cats.
