These look like the prices at my thrift stores. Higher than what's even listed on eBay. I swear these places think they are antique stores.
I agree, thrift stores have lost their minds! I started going back to antique shops, at least you can ask if they can do better on the price and they usually do.
Everyone keeps saying this I agree but this is called inflation. Raising minimum wages and people not wanting to work traditional jobs or full time and more people in the country not paying taxes and fewer who do contributes to this. Also the craze of thrifting reselling decorating is huge. To keep people working at these places and so many states with very high minimum wage rates causes all of this. Those are very highly priced antique lamps by the way totally never in my budget or style but bet someone will buy those when they go to half price if not before!

Can’t believe some of the prices! The marble cheese board with glass dome…$3.99 at our Goodwill! Thrift stores seem to forget they get everything free!

The only saving grace I have while thrifting is I get a senior discount. Otherwise I won't pay the ridiculous prices unless its absolutely fabulous. But you always find such amazing things.
Our goodwill has stopped those types of discounts and I heard an employee tell an older man that “the discounts we offer are discounts enough” I wanted to throw my shoe at her head! Hahah

I love really old photos, some can be a bit creepy🫣lol But I especially like the babies & children, and ladies all dressed up or in beautiful old dresses. The Victorian era ladies are just stunning sometimes! I love anything Victorian, love the art especially! I've started picking up a few of the Victorian ceramic figurines too. The little lamp shade was so sweet😊 I do like the little wood shelves, i have several in wood & other ornate ones. So cute under pictures! You could use an antiquing wax on them to darken them also. Wow the old clothespins for $1 is awesome! I paid like $4 for a bag of 8 at the antique store, but they were actually the real antique ones🤷♀️ That piece was a tiny camera candlestick made from a spoon.. how cute! I would have grabbed the little box of buttons too! The shoe pin cushion is sweet. The mirror is gorgeous, so is the lamp! The art dove the desk is so beautiful, love it❤ I collect old vintage & antique little chairs too, just to sit around for decor. That one is beautiful & you got a great deal! I love how you have the space decorated, its so pretty.. And so are all the pieces! Enjoyed..TFS😊

Hi Danielle..that space is perfect. I love your art picture. Sometimes , you just have to pay up to get something special. I dropped one of my lamps and broke the shade like that, but thankfully I have another similar one. I did not thrift this weekemd and I am missing it. Oh, the shoe is so cute. That thrift store needs to discount their prices by 90% or more. That is outrageous!
Your scores are always so fabulous. I am a sucker for any dog object. I don't think you will ever regret getting your beautiful lamp. I know you are a thrifter but that was not a bad price for something so beautiful. Now you can look at it at say "It belongs to me" instead of regretting letting it get away.

I love the shoe. There was another pin cushion shoe you showed that I thought was so neat too until you showed tge price. The same with those photographs you showed at the beginning of the video but that one was $15!

This is the highest priced thrift store I have ever seen.
I went to a St. Vincent de Paul yesterday, and they had a used leather recliner for sale for $599! It was leather, but seriously?! At a thrift store where everything is donated? Makes me crazy to see it....
I love your redo of your editing corner and also the lamp is gorgeous. Do you have any Victorian calling cards or Victorian napkin rings? I saw some of those on another channel. The napkin ring was real impressive with a bird on it.

I think that shoe is actually a woman's shoe. The heel seems too tall for a man's shoe. Women did wear shoes like that in the 30's and 40's.
