I agree with this man as far a semi metalics.
    I DON'T care about dust .
    I do CARE about stopping.
In 20-30 years I've had NO premature rotor wear.
    I've NEVER had a rotor cut !!
    I always buy new ones.
    Ceramics stuck .
When stopping from high speeds with them, I get that feeling in my stomach !!

Comprehensive information and intelligible delivery. Went through a few videos to understand how ceramic pads compare to the other two. Most of them were garbage, but this felt like an engineer talking than all those bro-talk.

I use ceramics a lot. They’re exceptionally good at mid to higher speeds but at low, more effort seems necessary on the brake pedal.

You use semi metallic pads on your personal truck. Why did you change the rotors and calipers as well, do you need to do that for towing applications?

I say ceramic breaks pads are more suited for luxury sedans. I love mine i hate the noise those semi metallic pads make. And the dust when it comes time to clean the rims.

I replaced my brakes, front end on my car. When i apply the brakes. About 25% in, it feels like the brakes wants to grab more. I use ceramic pads. I never tried semi matalic or the organic kind but i think ceramic are better bc they are quiet.

Don't forget that big rotors aren't that important either, if you have the right pads and calipers.

Depends on the application. If you are racing or have a truck that is towing, they are very important due to the extra surface area and heat capacity.

Organic pads = saves your discs/rotors, less costs, parts and better for the environment.
With Organic pads so long as you change them on time you should not have a need to replace rotors.
That is how zero obsolescence were originally suppose to operate. A soft material against a hard material = only 1 side ever gets worn.
Same philosophy with keys and lock barrel etc.

You have no clue what you are thinking about.
Even organic pads wear down rotors, slower but they still do.
And being better for the environment, you must be joking?!

I'll take ceramic over any of the others. Least dust, great stopping power, no fade, long life. Semi-metallic have been around forever and are fine, but nothing like the features of ceramics.
