Just about listened to most of it, 27 min through. Not bad perspective reminders, although context is so key. Some of this ability to set boundaries is a privilege we all don't have. Such as with parents, moving out isn't an option for everyone, changing jobs can depend on how spotty your resume has been before and how long you've been at your current job and how prepared you are to cut those relationships off, or in the case of a personal one, being able to assess one's inner workings and lessons needed to learn because in every relationship it's not just everyone making flaws and mistakes around us, but ourselves as well. Not everyone has the time or money to navigate these challenges. But, it's good to hear this perspective for entertaining possibilities maybe not thought before. Setting distance, setting boundaries, and letting go, not everyone can do that. But, we can learn how to care for ourselves and stand up for ourselves. There is a way to do that wherever you are, even if it's small, but you also have to pick your battles wisely and realize that based on your life goals, you're not necessarily destined to fight and die on some hills you've found yourself on top of.
