Mark Le, is referring to the US involvement in the South East Asian countries out of fear of the "domino effect" of communist growth, "containment", that led to the Vietnam and Cambodia conflicts. This conflict was strongly prosecuted under a Democratic administration (Kennedy) however it was radically intensified by Johnson toward 68 and that intensity sustained by Nixon up to the point that the US people had enough.
Le Xuan Tung, responds sarcastically with his comment but he's making reference to the modern antipathy between conservatives and progressives in US national politcs...oblivious or uncaring to the historical reference of Le.
Mark Le responds with a question indicating his confusion at Le Xuan's comment ...itself one made from apparent ignorance of what Mark was originally referring to....and...

johnny huynh inspired, I was in the kitchen as a young kid since 5 years old while my dad was cooking. I'm 34 now. Always wanted to open my own restaurants with southeast flavors and my own flair. Never had the guts to go as far as you. What you said about only hiring. People with no experience, down on their luck, means a lot! That's deep! One these days I'll stop on in and say hi!

Nothing but utter respect for him and his beautiful grandmother. She came as a poor refugee and with no hesitation did what she had to do to raise her grandson. His life would be something totally different if she had never come. You can feel the love they share. Every bit of hard work she did paid off, he is now a respectable, wise and humble gentleman. This was a truly inspiring and beautiful story. One of the best by Vice so far.

These videos are supposed to make me cry. :( such an inspiring story of overcoming circumstances to succeed in life. I feel like I can relate a lot to his story as a young man growing up in a single parent house hold. Once I saw a clip of his daughter, I could not help but a shed a tear. Keep up the great work Johnny!
