- Hi Everyone this video is going to be on, How to change a battery on a Yamaha R3 15-18 | Battery Tender Lithium Battery | R3 Battery Upgrade. So this video will be helpful for people on how to take the battery from the YZF-R3 out and replace it with a new one or an upgraded on for the race track. This will work on a Yamaha R3 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, the battery is in the same location throughout the years of the bike even for tha Yamaha R25 they are the same bike for over seas. Hopefully this can help people on how to work on the Yamaha R3 and R25 form 2015 to 2018. The battery is a Battery Tender lithium Batter LifePo4 its agreat battery for a sports bike for the track.

This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries batery.repair and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!
Just curious because I have a dead battery on the same bike ( 2020 model), is there a reason you couldn't have just charged the old battery instead of getting a new one?
oh yes, you can keep charging the old battery, but it kept on dying on me when I was doing that. so every other day I hade to charge it again. then I hade to jump-start the bike every day after that. so I just decided to get a new one. and back to a lead acid battery. so now I don't have to keep doing that anymore and over time the LiFePO4 inflated after doing a few jump-starts.
Is your rear peg stock? The passenger peg I mean? I need a replacement peg that fits the stock location and hardware, aside from swapping the passenger one into its place haven’t had much luck
yes the passenger peg is the stock one. i got a Website that i use to get OEM parts for my R3. they are not that expensive i got a rear Assembly for the rear peg so were it mounts and the peg, it came all in one for around 60-70 dollars. if your in the States here is the Website its called Babbitt's check it out to see what you need.

no, when i changed the tires the shop i go to i told them to take it i done need them and plus they are over 3 years old.
