Important!!!: pour some oil IN the oil filter too before you install so you don’t have a dry spot in your engine when it tries to circulate. This is a common technique used for all engines and should always be done.

lol a common technique that a lot of manufactures specifically tell you not to do

@@urgranny6913 it’s technically unfiltered oil and pre filling the filter on even trucks and cars is insignificant and pretty much useless with how small the filters are, especially with a bike. unless the manual tells you to do it, you shouldn’t. hell even on diesels they’ll tell you not to do it, plenty of scored bearings on those from people prefilling filters.

@@BooStairs uh. incorrect. watch "Does Pre-FILLING The Oil FILTER Cause Engine DAMAGE?" by the motor oil geek. not tryna argue, just dont want wrong info going out. always prefill if possible

Nice video! Gonna save a lot if money this way. I do have a question I am a new rider my R3 is my first bike and I was just out on a ride today and the oil light came on. It has about 650 miles on it so far I am doing the oil change this week. Only concern I have is even when I’m leaving the engine running I even took the bike to the right a little bit but I do not see any oil on the indicator at the lower part of the engine even when tilting the bike while the bike is running. Shouldn’t I see something inside the The window? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Heya mate, is your R3 brand new? It may be the oil change indicator, telling you to change your oil, rather than their being an issue with oil level.
Once you have change your oil, you can then reset this on your dash so you don't receive the oil change indicator to your next service.

While running you will see little to no oil in the window. If you do not see oil after the motor has been turned off for a few minutes then you are low.

Hey, I have a 2007 Yamaha Raptor 700 and on deceleration sometimes it has a loud backfire... what could be the reason for this? Also the rear sprocket bolts keep coming loose, I even put red thread locker on the bolts and let it sit for 2 days and still no luck keeping the tight. Any input would help. Thank you and I love the videos!!

Re-pack your exhaust with new packing or put you stock can back on. Make sure you are using the right hardware on the correct side of the sprocket also make sure there's not a hole lot of play in the sprocket when you put the bolt in. Like the holes for that the bolts go through are not bigger then they use to be.

Something do from the exhaust, usually fiberglass packing in the slip on, could also be a carb tuning problem, usually not enough fuel flow

I overfilled my bike by I think 350 ml will this harm my Mt-03? should I drainthat? I was confused because I thought it has to be half the side glass when bike is running and it was empty so I added some extra, yeah I'm stupid that was my first oil change.

@@Voltomess I would syphon it out with a turkey baster or something. My r3 and mt09 were ok with lil under or over so long as the levels stayed between the two lines on the oil viewing panel.

@@zgjfinance2796 yeah just in case to be safe I used that little pump that you have in the bottle that is used to spray flowers and whatever and I pumped out 300ml of oil from the engine and now my lvl is exactly where it should be on that glass window😁👍.
