- This is the first video in my 1979 Chevy C10 Big Block 454 Series! (Link to part 2: • 1979 Chevy C10 Big Blo... )
I actually owned this truck previously and just re-purchased it after it’s sat in the same spot for 5 years! Some chewed wiring and a leaky AC compressor were to be expected, but we’re off to a good start. It’s going to need some work, but what fun would it be without a little redneck ingenuity?!
Check out this video to see if we were able to get it to start!

Love the mark IV big blocks! The only drawback . Is it loves gasoline.
This 79 C10 is a project right here. Man I want one so bad including an old Suburban Wagon
They are out there, just have to continue to look and be patient to find the right one for the right price!

My 78-79 suburban sounds the same I love the 454 but I can’t get it to just stay running I did a tune up and it still won’t keep that spark and it just makes me sad bc it’s just sitting in my yard
Good stuff! I've got a 77 C20 3+3 for sale, if you know anyone looking.
Good video 😊📸😊📸😊
Would love to be able find a project like this a ship to the U.K. if I could find one what would be a fair price range these days do you reckon? Hope you held on to it! 👍
Thank you for watching! I still have it, yes sir. As far as price goes it's really hard to tell these days. I always say it's worth whatever someone will take. Never know until you try.
How far are you from waskom I have a 1977 bonanza 454 been sitting 10 plus years
Automatics leak after sitting a long time because..there is about a gallon of fluid in the converter, after sitting it drains back into the pan and overfills the tranny and leaks out of old seals and gaskets.
