Lovely tutorial ,this lady is the Bob Ross of crochet, very relaxing
I’m going to frame this comment. I love Bob Ross! What a great compliment!
Where do you find the Tunisian hooks .... singles not a bunch.
@@customcraftcreator I would check your local yarn or craft shop. If not there, then Amazon.
I just discovered you this morning - thanks for sharing with us!! Just a tip for viewers .... when learning a couple of new stitches at once, I sort of repeat to myself the name of the stitch as I am doing it. It just makes it easier for me later on when I am looking at patterns and reading the abbreviations of the stitch names! FOR ME, I struggle more to remember the name of the stitch than actually making them!! 🙄 Alternating stitches like this is perfect for that, because by the end of the 1st row....I likely have it ingrained in my brain! ENJOY the process - it's really rewarding!! 👍 💕
Wonderful tip! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
I make a small swatch of the Stitch and have it with the name pinned on it in a small plastic tube.
I love that you zoom in and slow down the action, it definitely helps see and understand more clearly. Thank you so much 😊
My pleasure!
Thank you for a very lovely peaceful tutorial I am a old lady who has been knitting for 70 years crocheting for nearly 60 Tunisian for 10 you are so clear and precise and calming easy to follow so different from many love this stitch I have earmarked some beautiful alpaca yarn for my next project using it and catching up with you again soon 😊thank you
I’m so glad to have you join my little TH-cam family!
A Tunisian stitch that doesn't curl! Yay! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!!
I just opened my hooks, and here I am, already doing what I am famous for. Making my gauge too tight! Following along and enjoying it already. So clear and concise, and your voice is so easy to listen to!
I’m glad you like it! Tunisian crochet is tricky in that you have to go up a few gauges on the needle than what is typically called for on the yarn label. The fabric produced by Tunisian crochet is much denser than typical crochet, so upping the gauge on the hook is critical!
What I love about the Tunisian crochet is that it looks more elevated
So easy to follow. Thank you for your time and attention to detail.
My pleasure! Thank you for this great comment!
I've been crocheting for a long time and recently discovered Tunisian. My hooks arrived today, and this stitch pattern is already my favorite. I love that it doesn't curl!. I'm making some mug rugs for practice and to figure out my yarn to hook size ratio. I tend to crochet loose, so the size on the yarn label seems to be fine for me at this point.
I'm subscribing because you speak slowly and calmly and don't have loud music. And now I'm off to go through your other videos!
So calming. I feel very drawn to tunisian crotchet and want to do the same for premature babies
This tutorial is so delightfully soothing, and your way of determining which stitch to place where (around minute 14) is going to save my life with the project I'm working on. Thanks so much for posting!!
My pleasure!! ❤️
You teach so well! The slowmos the explanations the speeds, I actually feel optimistic i can do this because of you. Other tutorials i can barely see what they are doing. Also such a ASMR watch
Thank you for the feedback!

Just beginning to learn Tunisian Crochet (I'm a weaver and knitter) and I loved this tutorial. Such careful, patient and clear instructions -- and showing the other side is also very helpful because I like to make things that look good on both sides (they don't have to be reversible, just nice on both sides). Thank you!
My pleasure! I’m so glad you found the tutorial helpful and your comment was so appreciated.

Thank you! 😊
Most definitely a beautiful stitch 😍
Thank you for the tutorial and sharing your dream! I wish you much success! I do have an ask though. I need more lighting. I found myself trying to tilt my phone or increase brightness. Great yarn color choice for honeycomb 😊
Thank you for the feedback! I’ll keep this in mind when I film future videos.
Hello, I love your tutorial. You are such a great teacher. Quick question, if I wanted to make a throw size blanket, how many chains will I need to start with? Follow up question, do you have any idea about how many yards of yarn I would need to do this? Thank you!
It’s hard to say without knowing your gauge. I would do a test swatch of about 30 chains, measure how many inches of fabric that gets you and then use that to calculate how many stitches you need to cast on.
As far as the yardage is concerned, it depends on your gauge and what weight yarn you use. It’s hard to give you numbers without knowing these.
I love it. Beautiful stitch indeed!🙏🏽
Great video....clear and concise instruction. Thank you!
You are very welcome!
Awesome instructions. Just found you but enjoyed and eager to try. Thanks
My pleasure!!!
Very beautiful !!
Thank you!
Beautiful ❤️ cannot wait to try
Thank you! 😊
Nice instructions!
Thank you!
I just found your channel and I have to say, you have a beautiful voice. You should do ASMR! ❤❤
Thank you! What a lovely compliment!
I like your slowmo
Thank you! I hope it’s helpful!
Beautiful! Thank you!!!👌✅😃🌹🌹🌹
My pleasure!
I find it easier to use a hook with a cable to allow as many loops as I need. Using a needle is fine for smaller items
Great video 🎉
Thank you 😁
The beginning of this tutorial had me laughing hysterically. As an experienced crocheter, this is one problem that everyone of us has, throwing away the label.
I’m my own menace when it comes to this. 😂
I have a question.
And in need of clarification. If I wanted to use this stich to make a sweater and I did just do what you did hear, then that could be like the back panel.
Meaning that as I'm working right to left, I'm vertically, working up or down the panel.
Or am I totally backwards with this?
You would be working vertically, correct.
Prachtig. Dank je
Gern geschehen!!
❤❤❤thank you ❤❤❤❤
You’re welcome!
cute
Thank you!
So what happens if you’re making an adult blanket that’s huge? All the loops probably couldn’t fit on the small needle so what do you do?
There are Tunisian crochet hooks that have cables for holding a lot of stitches. Here is an example: a.co/d/0jQLTG0
@@mountaintopyarn thank you so much!!
does the honeycomb stitch have horizontal stretch, or verticle stretch?(from direction worked?)
It depends on your yarn and tension. My suggestion is to work a swatch and test it out.
Do you have a pattern for this? Just learning and I think that it would help along with the video. I checked your website but did not see it there.
I don’t have a pattern, but I can happily write one up for you. I’ll comment on here when I have it up on the website.
Do you have left handed tutorials
I am a right handed person, so at this time, no. I’m sorry!
I notice yours didn’t coil at the first row. How do you keep that straight?
I’ve found the key is to go up 2 hook sizes from what is recommended on the yarn label!
To make an afghan throw wouldn’t I need to use a interchangeable hook
You can get hooks with a long cord on the end for holding a lot of stitches.
How much yarn did you use for this?
It was stash yarn so I don’t know exact yardage but if I had to estimate it would be around 220 yards.
Any ideas what yarn was used?
It was a worsted weight yarn.
I just discovered you
Hi 👋 I’m happy to have you here! ❤️
I will have to write this down, I will not remember it.
