I've gotten dehydration in a line at Disney World (Florida.) I passed out and was rushed to the hospital, It was very weird surprisingly, I was so numb I didn't feel anything. I'm much more careful now, and bring water bottles every time I travel.
I had dengue fever 2 times in my life . it was very bad. I didn't go to school for like one month . I was so weak and I can't move my body at that time. I had to do blood tests for every day while I was infected . the blood was taken from even my fingers . I always take precautions on monsoon seasons .
You are so blessed Mina, I have gotten Dengue fever before. I was in my city’s church and I blacked out, I was so cold and my eyes also felt very sore when I moved them. You are blessed Mina, I survived too.🙂,I’m so happy you survived.❤️🙏🙂
I feel so bad Mina! I'm glad your better now, I can't imagine how it must have felt! I've had to go to the hospital once from passing out in Disney World, Florida, but turns out it was dehydration, I'm much more careful now, haha. Much love from California! :D
Omg you are so lucky you survive it without any treatment on the 1st week. In Indonesia the doctors always say if fever doesn't go down after 3 days, must blood test for dengue.
Thank you for sharing with us not just the good but also the bad the true reality of life. This is one of the things one doesn’t think about when traveling anywhere or even where you live. I hope you’re feeling better. Many blessings and good health 💚💚💚
My experience was different: I remembered i had the baddest headache and the worst fever while at work. I did not show any symptoms of dengue till on the 3rd or 4th day. That was the time when my platelets started dropping rapidly (it went down as low as 36 lmao). I was this close to be transferred to ICU for blood transfusion. When I got released, the rashes showed up. Hella scary and I'm glad you were able to survive ❤
I know how bad it feels like. I'm always tired even though i'm just lying in bed and I was so young when I had it to the point that they bought me to the ER the next day because I was vomiting so bad. At the age of 6 my platelet went down to 11, plus my blood type is positive AB and at the moment there was no available blood. My mom and dad legit went to all the hospitals but there wasn't a match so my platelet depleted even more. I can't even breathe, eat properly and I have rashes and bruises everywhere due to all the injections everyday. Now I think i'm fully healed and thank God for giving me another chance to live. And I hope you will feel okay soon ❤️
Me too I had dengue recently and its my second time I also hallucinated hearing wierd things and some sort of internal bleeding and nearly die tho... but Im still alive...you've been blessed eonnie😊
I have been living in a tropical country for over 20 years. Luckily, I have never caught dengue fever and I hope I'll never catch it. According to a Scishow video "What If We Killed All the Mosquitoes?", some species are actually beneficial for the environment.

I spent Christmas at the hospital because of dengue when i was in 4th grade, when i got discharged before New year my grandpa was so glad that he cried and i miss him so much rn 😞
Whew! I'm so glad you survived all that. I had Dengue fever too couple of years ago and was hospitalized. Yeah the nausea is due to the liver being swollen. I got rashes on my 6th day of fever before I was hospitalized. The 1st decent meal that stayed in my tummy was on the 6th day of my hospital stay coz the first few days I was actually throwing up anything I ate. It is very vital to stay hydrated when one has dengue fever. Since its a viral infection there's basically no cure, the medical team will only treat the symptoms. But since its a viral infection it is also self-limiting, meaning the virus will die out on its own pretty quickly. Patients just have to "ride out" the symptoms. That's why it is very important to keep your immune system strong and healthy.
I know I'm like one month late but I'm so glad that you're ok.. In our country we get vaccines to anti dengue and my cousin got vaccinated and on the news we saw people dying of the vaccinations and we made sure that he was well taken care of and when you get the dengue fever the vaccinations make them worse..My cousin's classmate died because of the dengue fever and the vaccinations made the fever worse..😢 So I'm very very glad that you're ok..☺️
I can relate my parents was burned in vietnam and now i always go there even if i didn’t live there when i came back i felt Sick i hate coming to vietnam because Of Everything in vietnam but i’m so sorry for everyone u knew who had that I’m glad you dont
I had dengue four days after I came back from Indonesia (went to a tea plantation and forgot to bring my repellent). Started off with normal fever + lots and LOTS of vomiting. Luckily, I didn't get any other side effects like you did. However, it affected my liver, my doctors were worried my liver would fail. Thank God it didn't. Strangely, even when my fever shot up high, I still felt fine and not lethargic. The worse part about dengue for me wasn't the fever, it was the countless vomiting which gave me severe cramps (the worse 8h I've had in my life... I thought I was in labour 😆). Glad you're better now! Let's all be careful and start wearing mosquito repellents!
Wow thankfully u recovered but tbh its like the dementors in Harry Potter but good u recovered stay safe next time! Those 86 ppl who disliked is so mean!
I am glad that you made it to Taiwan and were able to get the needed assistance with the hospital. Thank you for informing us of how bad having dengue fever is. Right now I have a friend visiting the Philippines and I was able to share the information with him. Thanks for the reminder of a mosquito net. I am glad that you are feeling better. You are one of my favourite TH-camrs so it’s good to get notifications when your videos come up.

Hello Miss Mina! "Please take care of yourself Miss Mina!" Number one priority are vaccinations before travelling to the foreign countries! Those darn mosquitoes borne diseases are west nile, chikungenge, denque, malaria, and zika! Don't forget about the "TICKS"!
It is a good idea to carry the "DISINFECT WIPES" which kills 99.9% of the surface germs on the airplane! They do not "DISINFECT OR STERILIZED AND USED RECYCLED AIR"! The airplane is full of a lot of "germs and feces"! Please do wipe them down the surfaces and disinfect or sterilized anything you are going to touch on the airplane! The "CLOROX WIPES" is a one product you can buy under $5.00, which has 35 wet wipes!😷🤒 🛫✈🛩
It is happening more now everywhere! The main reson is warming of the our planet. The insects, animals, fishes, and sea creatures are migrating further north.
@cakelon _ There is nature cycle, but human activities is speeding up the warming of our planet earth! One of the cause is the burning of the fossil fuels(gasoline and burning coals) and releasing carbon doxide into the atmosphere. The oceans, lakes, and rivers warm up 5-6 degrees. Therefore, we getting unpredictable weathers! In the short future, people around the world going to migrate because of the severe draughts and floodings. The mining for the resources like oil, coal, gold, other metals do polluted and leave the arsenics in the soil, water, and air! One good new though, they are working on the vaccine for the ticks for human. It maybe available in five years. They do have the tick vaccine for the animals.
@cakelon _ Yes, but the human's activities definitely speeding up the natural cycle! Another sad thing is that they are cuting down the rain forest in the South America! It produce 1/3 of the world's oxygen. Why! The lumbers and raising cattles for the fast-food chains. The cattles produce a lof of the methan gas! Methan is a greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide CO2. A cow does on average between 70 and 120 kg of methan per year!
It's so good that they checked your health at the airport because you had medical help straight away. That doesn't happen where I am, you would have faced that alone.
I have survived dengue too! In the Philippines, there’s loads of mosquitos, one bit me and it passed on dengue. However, I was treated in England. I’m okay now but I hope your okay. ❤️❤️❤️
HOLY SHIZZZZ MY SISTER HAD DENGUE FEVER AND WE TOOK HER TO ALL THE GOOD DOCTORS AND THEY COULDNT DIOGENOUS IT. THIS WAS 10 YEARS AGO ! shes alive though
Oh my gosh! So glad you received Mina! Thank you for sharing the good and not so good. You're my favorite TH-camr! My excitement to travel has increased thanks to your blogs! 🤗
I remember hearing you talk about recovering from dengue fever but I never really thought about how extreme the illness a nd the longevity of it. Ironically enough I had just watched a video from the Jayoe nation about his friend Matt who managed to contract all 4 strains of dengue (including the hemoragic strain) along with typhoid. He didn't persue treatment right away which made it all the more frightening. I am so glad to see that you were okay, and thank you for talking so in depth about your experience. I always knew it was a concern for a lot of countries but I never realized the effects were so long lasting.
I had similar sickness last week. I was sick for more than 10 days. It started with fever and tummy aches. After few days I had rashes first on my face then a day after my whole body. When I got to the hospital I was brought to the isolation room for testing. I got negative results for Dengue and Measles. They diagnosed me with Viral Exanthem which is a measle-like rashes. They gave me anti-histamine medicine for the rashes. It’s been 5 days since I got better, no more rashes in the body. Few small redness on the face. Lesson: don’t underestimate your sickness, listen to your body and do not take it for granted.
I always get this rash on the back of my hand.. it comes and goes. Whenever I put cream on it, it inflames it. Only eczema medicine helped, but the rash RARELY itched.. very weird in my opinion 🤔💭
I hope like this doesn't happen to u again ur amazing and take as long as u want to get better bc we will all be here when ur back Edit:I have a flu and ear infection rn
Jeez! All from a little bitty mosquito or mosquitos! Thank you for this information. It was very eye-opening especially the part about yellow fever and other diseases. Glad you are ok.
Did you get a needle when you go to a country cause you supposed to get a needle 1 every 8 or 6 years. I don’t know a certain year for a needle. I had to get a needle to go Cambodia.
I'm so glad you're healing! Thank you for sharing this with your fans. Though it was clearly a harrowing experience, it says a lot about your character that you're willing to be vulnerable and share that with others who may take extra precautions now. ❤
If you have fever and petechiae appears go to the nearest hospital. WORST CASES like bleeding of the gums, nose bleeding.. When you have dengue, hydration is only needed unless you have a critical level of platelet counts, it might need for a blood transfusion. I hope this helps! Get well soon!
Unnie pls pls take care of ur health I always comment it on ur video and pls I mean it if something tend to happen what will happen of me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Pls.pls take care😍 always here to help pls pls unnie🤗 언니👑조심해요♥
How scary to be alone. I think it's a good message to always check in with someone/ family regularly, especially when traveling alone. If they don't hear from you, they know to make phone calls.
@@JM-cj4qh ikr idk why i'm still alive rn proof: 1) i had one when i was 4 and i was placed on a crib by the doctors because i was REALLY small, i remember crying all the time because of the needles. 2) i had one when i was 5. i remember my mom reading daily Scriptures to me 3) had one when i was 8. i remember falling asleep and waking up with a room full of doctors and one with a needle. i cried because my mom did not tell me they were coming. being an introvert, i was really schocked and almost had a heart attack. 4) I had another one when I was 10. I remember crying because of the allergy testing (idk if that's what it was called but ye). it was a needle that makes a circle to test if the medicine was an allergy to me. 5) i think... okay, I THINK... i had one when i was 7 but i don't remember. pls don't judge but i only think
Here in South America Dengue is a high common sickness during summer and is very dangerous because ,as a you said, you can mistakingly think is just food poisoning. My advice for people who travel to tropical places, check what sickness are common, specially the ones related to mosquitos because they tend to get worst and even lead to death. Always take care of your health people!
Yeah I contracted that virus, too. The same case as yours. If this was your first time contracting the virus you're fortunate to experience the least painful among all cases of dengue. That's a stage 1 Dengue Fever. That means you're supposed to have no bleeding(internal and external) since those symptoms are for stages 2 and above. In my country(the Philippines) they also don't allow dengue patients to eat dark colored food(?) Since it will leave a big colored area in your feces. They also give the guardian of each patient a record book to record how much the patient has urinated and what was the color and blood test every 12 hours to monitor your platelets. If you want to avoid contracting the virus, there's a particulat season in Southeast Asia that you have to avoid which is during the wet monsoon season. That's when the dengue infected mosquitoes reproduce the most.
Oh wow I’ve never heard of Dengue fever before- I caught the swine flu once which is supposed to me way worse than any typical strand of flu and I was so young . I couldn’t walk, talk, or move. It was intense and very scary! I’m so glad your OK! Stay Safe!
Hi Miss Mina, Another traveler got the fever that can cause your internal organs to bleed and fail while he was in Malaysia. He survived but his health has been affected by it. Glad you are recovering well. Basil Ganglia is in the center of our brains. It stores all our emotional memories. Traumatic illnesses and events, especially near death experiences, can many times a recall of past events in our life. As we age and transition through life, we sometimes face new challenges to our homogenizing self ego. On top of delirium brought on by fever, dehydration and anemia. These added can trigger negative memories from the past. Glad you are feeling better. Van
i suffered dengue fever when i was 5 years old and it was the worst thing that ever happened in my life, my family visited me everyday, i was doing weird things while sleeping, my temperature reached 41 celcius, my father did not visit me because he was busy, and my mother's older brother died because of cancer.. worst weeks of my life
I can feel you miss Mina as I have experienced dengue fever it's a very pain and tiring sickness and I hope no one will get dengue fever prayers to you and everyone.😇
I had a severe dengue case last 2018, I was in the hospital for 2-3 weeks and 4 days in the PICU, the doctors said that it was a miracle that I survived with the complications and other stuff that was making my case harder to cure, I was 13 at that time and I already got my second life, I just recovered after a year being out of the hospital. It wasn't easy to do certain things that I would normally do and I would loose oxygen a couple of times and I wasn't able to write for 1 and a half months because my arm was damaged because the nurse couldn't fine any of my veins so she kept doing it again and again until my arm became numb and I couldn't move it anymore, but I'm really thankful that I survived , I didn't realise until now that I could've died any minute when I was in the hospital .
I’m glad that you’ve recovered from the fever!! Sorry that you had to go through that experience, but as you said it was humbling so I’m the end there’s a reason for everything. Also I learned about mosquito nets, great tip!!
I once got bit by a mosquito in the spring-summer and ended up having a severe migraine the next day. I couldn't look at screens, eat, sit or stand, or open my eyes because I would feel extremely nauseous. Had a pretty high fever that day, I'm sure. I'm glad you got better!
Thank goodness you're okay! Glad to hear that you're much better, what an experience you wont forget. I'm sorry that it took a couple of years to fully recover, but like you said, it was a humbling life lesson. Thank you for sharing your story and letting others know about the risks. Very informative. 🌰
I get bit by mosquitoe at my house in America. I got a little sick but nothing like you plus I wasn’t in a strange place. I’m sorry this happens to you💛
Have you gotten sick while traveling? What did you get? And have you experienced Dengue Fever before? 🤒

There were times I still feel lightheaded two weeks after hospitalization
Rashes are still here from dengue
When you get it the 2nd time around, its usually the hemorrhagic type
Hmmm... I wonder if there's a trigger for when the rash appears 🤔
Awwwwww i wish i chould hug u i hate being sick.... i wanna cry when i see others sick as well
I hope like this doesn't happen to u again ur amazing and take as long as u want to get better bc we will all be here when ur back

It’s great to know that you are okay now. Please keep yourself healthy and protected. They said citronella keeps mosquitoes away. 😊

Were I live is kind of common to get Dengue
Hey Mina! So excited for u to reach 1 million subs! Hope u get better !
No views..12 likes.. TH-cam is crazy for Miss Mina too😉
If you have fever and petechiae appears go to the nearest hospital. WORST CASES like bleeding of the gums, nose bleeding.. When you have dengue, hydration is only needed unless you have a critical level of platelet counts, it might need for a blood transfusion. I hope this helps! Get well soon!
Unnie pls pls take care of ur health I always comment it on ur video and pls I mean it if something tend to happen what will happen of me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

How scary to be alone. I think it's a good message to always check in with someone/ family regularly, especially when traveling alone. If they don't hear from you, they know to make phone calls.
i actually had 4 or 5 dengues in a span of 11 years
don't believe me? i honestly don't care
aena they are only 4 strains right wow are you immune to dengue now that’s crazy but also good but bad because you had it 4 times but yeah
@@JM-cj4qh ikr idk why i'm still alive rn
proof:
1) i had one when i was 4 and i was placed on a crib by the doctors because i was REALLY small, i remember crying all the time because of the needles.
2) i had one when i was 5. i remember my mom reading daily Scriptures to me
3) had one when i was 8. i remember falling asleep and waking up with a room full of doctors and one with a needle.
i cried because my mom did not tell me they were coming. being an introvert, i was really schocked and almost had a heart attack.
You look like my 3rd grade teacher it's a complained cause she was pretty and your pretty to
I know I'm one year too late but I think you probably meant "compliment"
Wow first comment. I clicked so fast when I got your notification 😂
Oh wow I’ve never heard of Dengue fever before- I caught the swine flu once which is supposed to me way worse than any typical strand of flu and I was so young . I couldn’t walk, talk, or move. It was intense and very scary! I’m so glad your OK! Stay Safe!
We get to see only the good side of your travel vlog. But now we get to see your real experience of traveling. 💕 Mina
My cousin got this WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT...and she was not only cured but her baby is healthy and happy
Hi Miss Mina,
Another traveler got the fever that can cause your internal organs to bleed and fail while he was in Malaysia.
Glad you are feeling better.

i suffered dengue fever when i was 5 years old and it was the worst thing that ever happened in my life, my family visited me everyday, i was doing weird things while sleeping, my temperature reached 41 celcius, my father did not visit me because he was busy, and my mother's older brother died because of cancer..
worst weeks of my life
I can feel you miss Mina as I have experienced dengue fever it's a very pain and tiring sickness and I hope no one will get dengue fever prayers to you and everyone.😇
Wow I'm so glad you're okay again! This was definitely informative.
I’m glad that you’ve recovered from the fever!! Sorry that you had to go through that experience, but as you said it was humbling so I’m the end there’s a reason for everything. Also I learned about mosquito nets, great tip!!

Glad you are healthy now. On a personal note, your eyes are lovely!
I’m glad you’re okay! I had the Dengue fever when I was young and almost lost my life
That is so scary, is there any way that to prevent it just by wearing the repellent?
I once got bit by a mosquito in the spring-summer and ended up having a severe migraine the next day. I couldn't look at screens, eat, sit or stand, or open my eyes because I would feel extremely nauseous. Had a pretty high fever that day, I'm sure. I'm glad you got better!
Sorry you got that but the content of your video is very helpful I wish the best blessings for you and your mom have great travels enjoy
Never knew about this fever. Thank you for sharing and happy you are better.
