The Mummy I consider to be one of the best Indiana Jones movies that isnt Indiana Jones. It rules, its fun adventure, and Rachel Weisz as Evie forever has my heart.

The Mummy movies are a guilty pleasure of mine. I grew up watching them thanks to my parents and grandparents, and hold a special place there.
Edit: Not me realizing I'm as old as this film-

All my homies love Brendan Fraser! The Mummy is one of those movies that's just a fun film to watch while also being well-made so there's no need to suspend disbelief about if it's a "good" movie because it legitimately is. Also, bonus points for younger me thinking Arnold Vosloo & Billy Zane being the same person lol

I had both Mummies on VHS!! That was one of my favorite movies in the childhood, beaten only by the Matrix!

These movies make me remember growing up and watching the Mummy movies on Sunday with my family. I’d be asleep waking up w carpet marks on my face because we’d binge them back to back. These movies have a special place in my heart

when "remaking for a modern audience" didn't instil utter fear and dread in the pits of people's stomachs

The Mummy really going through a resurgence, huh? It keeps being talked about in bi memes, it's playing in theatres again, and now people be making video essays about it again. Even I recently re-watched it

I took my partner to see it in theaters because I grew up watching it and she had never seen it, and in the first scene of the movie she leaned over to me and said "this is a bit dark, I thought this was a kids movie."
    (She loved it thankfully)

I just rewatched Terminator 1. Arnie's puppet face with a red robot eye is no better than the Rock in the Mummy 2.

This was one of the best movies of my childhood, and I looked up to Brendan Fraser as a kid cause I always see him as a badass, considering he used so much Guns in the film 😅.

I don't know if you're schools had this but when I was in 4th grade we had an "all about you" day where each kid in the class got to bring in a bag full of things that defined what they liked. Well I brought in this movie and said it's my favorite movie. My parents begged me not to because I'm a 4th grader so I'm not even old enough to watch it technically, but it was my favorite movie and I wasn't going away from it. It's also a movie that I watched when I was 4 years old and the scene where the prison Warden has the bugs. Eat him alive was very traumatizing as a child. But now as an adult. I just love everything about this movie because it's so nostalgic for me. I feel you 100%.

Awesome video man!!! The Mummy is such a good time. I was also a DVD Bonus feature kid!! the Mummy had great bonuses, and really lots of Universal DVDs from that time did. I remember spending lots of time on The Blues Bros and Jaws DVDs as well!

I have a bumper sticker on my car that says " honk if you'd rather be watching the 1999 cinematic masterpiece, The mummy starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz" 😂😂
