Progress, that’s good! You’re welcome! If you’ve switch your legion go display driver to the 780m (from the AMD Radeon Graphics labelled one), you’ll want to manually install the AMD settings app vs trying to get the actual adrenaline app. It’s towards the end of my updating drivers video using the ccc2 application file deep in the AMD folder.
@@Fifth313mentIt’s the Turbo mode button. It overclocks the eGPU a little bit to give you a bit extra performance. It consumes more power = more heat = pushing the device harder than normal, etc. 😊

They have the same process but different devices to reference. I would recommend that you run a DDU now then reference one of the guides for a clean install to reset your driver priorities as the APU1 780m and GPU 7600m XT. It works, now it says Apu and Gpu, and my games are running pretty well except Alan Wake 2. This game was running better before on the apu 780m ! I don't understand why ☹️

Can you update your cloud with the latest driver please! Using this is the only setup which is working for me. But games tell me the driver is outdated sadly

Sometimes I have to install the ccc2 app file again and restart again after everything. Windows update and Legion space or Armoury crate will override the side load drivers if you update. In which case you have to run the 780m and ccc2 installs again. Onexplayer never released a new driver to work with the Z1 Extreme but even the one they did gave me a ton of problem after a few days of trying different things. AMD devices with 7840u and 8840u work flawlessly though. It’s an amd problem specific to the Z1 extreme devices with Adrenaline.
Would u be able to do a full review of your thoughts of the GPU on the legion go and game play of a heavy game that the legion go has a hard time with like Avatar is a good game to test on it. And if it's worth getting. Just asking because I'm thinking of ordering one but a bit hesitant

can anyone please show me how to get back to the lenovo driver, because I've already try to install 780M driver to try with G1. Now I want to go back lenovo driver to try this way. any help is appreciated
I got the OneXGPU to work with my OneXplayer 1S for one day. Today when I connected them together, the OneXplayer would crash after 10 seconds without me even running anything on it. The screen would go black and i would have to restart it. If the OneXGPU is still connected to the OnexPlayer upon restarting, it would crash again. Any suggesttions? I used my OneXplayer with another EGPu with an NVDIA card in it and never any issues
I have the 7840u chip so under the Display Adapter for the OneXplayer, it shows AMD Radeon 780M Graphics. If I plug in the OneXGPU, the 7600Xt would also be under thr Display Adapter as well. I tried to disable the 7600 XT display to try to reinstall the driver but the OneXPlayer would go blank before I could do anything else

Are you using the AMD adrenaline App? @@GamingRepairs so I just uninstalled Adrenaline app and reinstalled the drivers for both OnexGPU and OnexPlayer, both appeared updated under Driver Adapters correctly (780M Graphics and 7600M XT). Next, I tried to reinstall the Adreline app through C:\AMD but there's no AMD software installer, only chipset folders so I had to reinstall the Adrenaline app using the file for the 7840U chipset. Once installed, I tried to use the OnexGPU again. It would actually run for about 30 seconds before the OnexPlayer would crash and show the black screen again. This thing is so irritating to say the least. Again, my NVDIA eGPUs work just fine with the Onexplayer. Wonder if that has anything to do with this.
I just tried to reinstall the drivers for both onexplayer and onexgpu without reinstalling the Adrenaline app and the 2 devices would work together nicely. However, the moment that I installed the Adrenaline app and tried to run any games, the OneXplayer would crash so it pretty much has something to do with the Adrenaline software, which is strange@@GamingRepairs

Would be awesome if you can do more videos testing other popular games with this Legion Go + portable eGPU setup to see the performance difference. I also think it would a great niche topic to cover as there aren’t that many videos about it on YT and this particular combo/setup is being highly searched currently.

Yes, I would say so. It has more features. There’s been issues with the GDP G1 not charging the Legion Go. It only has a 65w charge output versus this one with 100w. Plenty of power for the Legion Go.

so i think ima give up on this egpu for now cuz yes its working good i think been able to play some games and see good perf, but wen tryin to play portably on the 780m performance is bad not to mention i have no audio for the games so ima just go back to amd radeon graphics cuz i do enjoy playing while on break at work....is it possible to still use the gpu with original lenovo driver?
saw the new vid, is the 7840u replacing 780m? ima try it now....so i did the reinstallition with ur latest guide video and now i have audio but its kinda choppy/staticky but def doin better than b4, performance doesnt seem like its better than official lenovo driver tho but getting there messing with graphics setting and got going alot better
You can yes, you just might have issues if you want to use an external monitor. Just install the driver and update it using the one on the legion go support page under drivers.
@@GamingRepairs ook, hows ur end running 780m portably no egpu? hows ur helldivers runnin fps wise and wat setting did u got with? and notice wen i downloaded the 7840u driver is same as 780m file/ driver am i bugging or it is so? and wen u first turn on the lego and it boots up usign in does it beep for you as in external mon. connected....mines been makin that sound since cant pinpoint why or wats causing it...i know its not much of a deal but just wanna know if somethings causing it or is normal for the changes
@@kevinvasquez34all of my game have been running really good without the eGPU too. For sound, turn off Spatial Audio in the system settings. I’ve had to turn that off an all my handhelds because the Audio is scratchy and cracking in games with it off. Turn that off and it should fix that.
The 7840U is the correct driver to manually extract the 780m from (like in my new drive updates video). Helldivers settings using only the legion go? Or both?

They can both be used. When the OneXGPU is connect that will be the graphic driver prioritized. When it’s disconnected then your regular device graphic driver will be used. If you’re using an external monitor and having issues, I have a video to change the driver on the legion go and change the amd software so that everything plays nice again.
@@GamingRepairs so i tried the link that say use this 1, takes me to amd link shows the gfx ver. on top rx7600m but when i hit download on the auto detect and install its not the gfx driver it download the chipset and some extras but not the driver, tried doing it manually same thing....do i have to have it plug in first going this route? it download software adrenaline edition 24.2.1 combined minimal setup
@@kevinvasquez34try the driver link from the OneX OneDrive in the description. The OneXGPU needs to be on and connected when you update the driver through device manager.
You’ll need to format to NTSF in “create and format hard disk partitions” and assign a letter designation. Then when you go to install a game on Steam for example you’ll add the drive as an install destination.

@@danik882010 You're welcome! I haven't run into any issues yet. Everything has been working great whether I'm using the epu or the Legion Go only. My bios and Legion Go drivers are all up to date and I keep Legion Space off. There's an AMD XConnect app that runs automatically when the egpu is connected. You're right there isn't much content or support online so I'm happy to answer any questions I can.

@cameronphelps6740 yeah, there’s not a lot of content. That’s actually why I started a channel the day I got my OneXGPU so I could help people with the Legion go. Thankfully the Rog Ally X is identical to setup so my New Fully Loaded video works exactly the same on the Rog Ally X with the correct driver links in the description. You’ll want to side load the 780m driver in my new video instead of using the one in this specific video.

Like I can just everytime I dock play in good graphics deluxe or is it where I gotta change settings every five seconds
@cameronphelps6740 it does, I go through the whole process. Just make sure to stop armory crate from updating the driver or windows back to the original one. Otherwise you can try rollback in device manager or side load it again. If you’re using the Rog display you’ll be 1080p high graphics for basically everything unless you need more fps then you can drop to medium or low but you shouldn’t need to with the eGPU. If you’re using a higher res external monitor 1440p then just start high and drop down from there for fps gains. 😊
Forget this video, look for Nelly's new updated video. And don't use ONEXGPU's recommended drivers because all it is just old AMD drivers that ONEXGPU had rigged to make it co-exsist with the LEGO internal GPU driver. If you update to a new version of the driver, make sure you remove the old crappy poopy ONEXGPU recommended drivers and do a clean install.
@GamingRepairs nothing it showed as a driver and crashed every game and then I couldn't load any game not plugged in. I'm reformatting and hoping to have a better experience from scratch

@GamingRepairs after reformat I believe I have sucess. Updated all drivers first including chipset and bios. Didn't even need to install the onex driver it automatically was found in device manager and got the notification it was connected. Good signs

They can both be used. When the OneXGPU is connect that will be the graphic driver prioritized. When it’s disconnected then your regular device graphic driver will be used.
If you’re using an external monitor and having issues, I have a video to change the driver on the legion go and change the amd software so that everything plays nice again.

@@GamingRepairs so i tried the link that say use this 1, takes me to amd link shows the gfx ver. on top rx7600m but when i hit download on the auto detect and install its not the gfx driver it download the chipset and some extras but not the driver, tried doing it manually same thing....do i have to have it plug in first going this route? it download software adrenaline edition 24.2.1 combined minimal setup
@@kevinvasquez34try the driver link from the OneX OneDrive in the description. The OneXGPU needs to be on and connected when you update the driver through device manager.
i got it working, finally although the gpu counter and vram are stuck on zero, is that normal?
how do u install games on the onexgpu
You’ll need to format to NTSF in “create and format hard disk partitions” and assign a letter designation. Then when you go to install a game on Steam for example you’ll add the drive as an install destination.
@GamingRepairs thx for replying but my onexplayer does not recognize the gpu, i can't find it. i only see my micro sd, c drive and d drive

@@GamingRepairs Thank you so much for the info! Also I heard there may be some issues installing drivers and driver bugs when using AMD egpus because Lenovo doesn't have Adrenaline support. Have you found any issues with drivers or performance issues with this egpu? Thanks again for posting your video there's not allot of online support regarding this.
@@danik882010 You're welcome! I haven't run into any issues yet. Everything has been working great whether I'm using the epu or the Legion Go only. My bios and Legion Go drivers are all up to date and I keep Legion Space off. There's an AMD XConnect app that runs automatically when the egpu is connected. You're right there isn't much content or support online so I'm happy to answer any questions I can.

@cameronphelps6740 yeah, there’s not a lot of content. That’s actually why I started a channel the day I got my OneXGPU so I could help people with the Legion go. Thankfully the Rog Ally X is identical to setup so my New Fully Loaded video works exactly the same on the Rog Ally X with the correct driver links in the description. You’ll want to side load the 780m driver in my new video instead of using the one in this specific video.
@@GamingRepairs okay good to know..hope the video says how to side load and everything..I may have built a pc before but some of this pc shit and extras is confusing.. is it plug and play after that? Like I can just everytime I dock play in good graphics deluxe or is it where I gotta change settings every five seconds
@cameronphelps6740 it does, I go through the whole process. Just make sure to stop armory crate from updating the driver or windows back to the original one. Otherwise you can try rollback in device manager or side load it again. If you’re using the Rog display you’ll be 1080p high graphics for basically everything unless you need more fps then you can drop to medium or low but you shouldn’t need to with the eGPU. If you’re using a higher res external monitor 1440p then just start high and drop down from there for fps gains. 😊
Forget this video, look for Nelly's new updated video. And don't use ONEXGPU's recommended drivers because all it is just old AMD drivers that ONEXGPU had rigged to make it co-exsist with the LEGO internal GPU driver. If you update to a new version of the driver, make sure you remove the old crappy poopy ONEXGPU recommended drivers and do a clean install.

@GamingRepairs nothing it showed as a driver and crashed every game and then I couldn't load any game not plugged in. I'm reformatting and hoping to have a better experience from scratch

@GamingRepairs after reformat I believe I have sucess. Updated all drivers first including chipset and bios. Didn't even need to install the onex driver it automatically was found in device manager and got the notification it was connected. Good signs
