Wamiqa Gabbi was so refreshing! Rarely do we see actors/celebrities truly say what they think. More power to such non PR coached, and non media trained honesty ❤ And what a beautiful artist she is! Absolutely loved her performance as Niloufer. Hopefully we get to see her even more of talent.
Everyone in show were amazing but I saw Siddhant and Wamiqa's work for the first time and m blown away by their talent and beauty. They are both Future superstars of Indian cinema ❤
Not at all. There won’t be superstars in India anymore at giga level. The culture has died. They have to work really well and have to be in really good shows/movies to barely be in people’s memories. Remember ‘Bunty’ from Sacred Games? Brilliant performance but people barely remembers. There’s a pool of talent in a fast moving world. Things have changed.

I am just surprised and astonished that almost no reviewers have pointed this out that Aparshakti Khurana(Madan Kumar) is actually the real story of Ashok Kumar who worked as technician in Bombay Talkies and one day he got chance in one 1936 movie because the Bombay Talkies owner’s wife eloped with the hero of that movie. I was pretty sure by the end when Madan Kumar’s younger brother doesnt wants to be actor and is rather interested in singing. And yes thats goin to be story of Kishor Kumar in next season I suppose. Jay Khanna is Raj Kapoor and how he made RK Studios. Obviously there is an added drama to the characters.

Whereas Raj Kapoor was the pipneer of directorial ventures. But it was Raj Kapoor who got the exposure in USSR as shown in show. Also Ashok Kumar was the furst superstar of Indian Cinema as he was the first one to give a movie which earned 1 Crore rupees and it was a huge deal back then.This show is filled with easter eggs and many interesting references. Being a movie enthusiast I can go On n On about it.

Also both in this part in both songs they are singing about being lost in journey and seeking for their guiding star.
Prasenjit, and Vikram to some extent are veterans. Aparshakti is a know name in the industry so people expect good work out of him. But it was Sidhant and Wamiqa that took my heart in the series. Both have a brilliant future in acting(irrespective of the industry). And here Wamiqa just blew my mind with her straight from the heart answers. Just hope she stays that way and does some great work❤
The Jay Khanna character - actor is my ultimate fav, he is the soul and warmth of the show. N that little compliment he gave Anupama abt her communication skills is spot on. The day she did the Arjun Reddy interview and practised ultimate patience with the director that got enough critisism for that film, we could see she is a pro at being human & communicating in an orderly manner no matter how shallow the person on the other end maybe.
For me, one of the best performances was 'Jamshed Khan' played by Nandhish Singh Sandhu. His was literally a bit part compared to the play the other characters got. BUT Sandhu is convincing as Khan and with what polish and swagger!! The appreciation is compounded by the man revealed in this interview as a self-effacing, soft spoken fellow. Take a bow, Nandhish Sandhu.
I enjoyed his character the most as well. To watch a self confident, suave man confident about his craft and decisions, being stripped to shreds because of inhumane treatment and circumstances was heartbreaking to watch.
For me Jamshed’s character is the best of the lot. If you think about it Jamshed ties everyone’s storyline together. His character impacts everyone so immensely that even after the scheduled flings with Niloufar, she respected him and knew his worth. Every character who knew Jamshed was smitten by his presence, because of which even after his demise he is unforgettable. Nandish essays his charisma and gravitas wonderfully which makes Jamshed’s gruesome death break your heart. You see very little of him but you root for him. Watching someone with so much suave, confidence and self worth being stripped to shreds helplessly because of inhumane circumstances was such a beautiful tragedy to witness. His death was the only time where he truly felt lost, confused and powerless.
This interview especially made me wanna go revisit the timeless era those timeless actress and those timeless songs there was so much depth in those days
It was Aparshakti who had me glued to the screen for this one, brilliant character with so many layers. Wamiqa was a delight to watch as a character with such resilience, no matter what life threw at her she stood tall. Mr. Roy as an ambitious film maker was so convincing. I loved the show!
I am very happy that tv industry actor like siddhant Gupta and nandish sandhu got there due through this show they were fantastic and hope they were keep doing good work in big ott platform web series with good director. Slap to those who think that tv actor do not work in big ott shows

What a pleasure it was to see this series and everyone acing their roles, even small ones. The music was beautiful and touching. A special shout-out to our Prosenjit Chatterjee, a man who worked in mass cinema, shunned by the urban educated middle class, and kept the Bengali film industry afloat, and created his niche as an artist. His dignity is apparent in this interview, he spoke so little but made such valid points. Could not imagine a better Srikant Roy.

Literally, waited for 18 mins to hear Wamiqa Gabbi get her chance to speak. Have been admiring her classic performances since seeing her for the first time on screen in the movie Sixteen. Here is a powerhouse Pan India performer, very talented & glad she is being noticed by the big directors. OMG-this series and these people are so well casted! Sidharth is this exact character, Jamshed really is Jamshed, Sumitra is Sumitra, Neelofer is Neelofer, Binod was brilliantly played by Aparshakti, Shrikant is Shrikant. Jubilee was such a fresh breath of air on screen as a story and visuals. All those songs and visuals were so genuine and really seemed to be from that era. Well written, well shot, well casted, very well acted and all in all a very well made series. It was a joy to watch it. Specially Wamiqa was a lovely surprise, she had that bholapan vibe and look of the actoresses from that era and those dances of hers many times took me to visuals of 'babu ji dheeray chalna' or ' shola jo bhadkay dil mera dhadkay'. Amazing!
Vikramaditya Motwane’s name on any content has always been a must watch … the interview just showed how much the team relished working on the project and may be that’s what made the show special … I really hope after watching the show along with other things people start emphasising on good dialogues … Madan Kumar BC 😜!!! Here only for Wamiqa Gabbi..then Aparshakti..both are most relatable..watched Wamiqa in punjabi movies and then watched her other hindi webseries Grahan. I was amazed that she could do hindi as well. And with Jubliee..so proud of her..she is really talented..

The insights Aditi has about the character are amazing. To the point, and insightful, despite some other characters overpowering hers in the show. Per the script, she is someone who should be more on screen.
Great series and a lovely session. It just underscores why good writing is so important. Every single actor mentioned how great the writing was. And yet, the writers of the show were not invited to this discussion. Sad that good writing is not celebrated the way it should be in Indian films.
Kudos to all involved in making this web series. Didn't use FFWD to skip any scene. Well done you all actors, director, producer, composer, lyricist, script write etc.
Master piece..!! The production design, music and costumes literally transforms us to an era, which I had heard a lot about from my mother, a great movie fan. Had heard stories of Himanshu Roy, Devika Rani, Ashok Kumar, Sahgal, Motilal, Prithvi Raj kapoor and many many more..I grew up in the era when film industry was dominated by Dilip kumar, Raj kapoor and Dev Anand as top three male stars..absolutely loved this series and missed my mom , while watching it, who would have enjoyed it so much and would have told me many more stories of many film stars of her era of forties and fifties and sixties..!!
Also when Anupama mam said I laughed out loud when there was this line said Khan nahi chalte nam badalna padega I would like to add here is that in that era actors needed to change there name because audience was able to connect more to Indian (Hindu names) because it is Hindustan there were many actors like Dilip Kumar Madhubala, Meena kumari, Sanjay khan,Jagdeep, Ajit, and many more who changed there names just to connect through there talent with audience and they were loved they were applauded with there showcasing of art❤ so I guess it’s nothing to laugh because that’s the reality.😊

Wonderful interview and great insight into the creative process. Just three points 1. Music is soul of Jubilee, Amit Trivedi should have been on Dias to share his process and how he connected with the story 2. Mic volume was at different levels for different people, maybe next time we don't want to hear others laughing loudly during someone's talking 3. Aparshakti must work on what he says in such discussion, everyone else made sense as actor he was sounding out of place
With this work Vikramaditya motwane scaled himself as a director to a next level , his vision n passion for cine can be felt clearly and of course Atul sabharwals writing , the ar director or now a day's vfx does a lot in setting up the set , every actor has done their 100 percent from Jamshed khans onscreen makeup man to Nilofar. My favorite is Roy babu and then the screen presence of Jamshed khan , next favorite who steal the show is Khanna and the entertainer especially his dance in the song with kids though he was imitating Shashi Kapoor, n then Yes Nilofar she did a marvelous work with her charachter
I found Aditi RA acting very matured. I also felt majority scenes were of male actors. Females roles could have had more scenes. In the last episode found Aditi would bring deep expressions on her face. Her character could have been explored more.
I really like aditi rao dress for this interview too. I just love hearing this interview especially aditi rao . She is fab onscreen and offscreen both.

Prasenjit Chatterjee did mostly mass-ey movies during the 90s and used to be Bengal's biggest star after Uttam Kumar .While most of these films were campy and terrible, he is almost single handedly responsible for keeping the industry alive at a time when it was really struggling. He was a single man industry not unlike Rajnikanth. It's good to see he's now able to undertake projects that enable him to highlight his ability as an actor while Dev and Jeet have taken over the mantle of pandering to the masses.
Sidhant gupta is the breakout star of this series. Some mentions for great work are Ram kapoor, prosenjeet Chatterjee and wamiqa gabbi

Wamiqa has broad experience in Punjabi industry. She is newcomer in Bollywood, but not newcomer in acting.

Don't know about offbeat, but he did elevate what could have been a poor interpretation of the 'sleazy businessman'-type.

One bad thing . I feel bad for Sweta Basu Prasad . She is too good an actor compared to the short roll she had . But still she does a great job .

Here only for Wamiqa Gabbi..then Aparshakti..both are most relatable..watched Wamiqa in punjabi movies and then watched her other hindi webseries Grahan. I was amazed that she could do hindi as well. And with Jubliee..so proud of her..she is really talented..

The insights Aditi has about the character are amazing. To the point, and insightful, despite some other characters overpowering hers in the show. Per the script, she is someone who should be more on screen.

Great series and a lovely session. It just underscores why good writing is so important. Every single actor mentioned how great the writing was. And yet, the writers of the show were not invited to this discussion. Sad that good writing is not celebrated the way it should be in Indian films.

Master piece..!! The production design, music and costumes literally transforms us to an era, which I had heard a lot about from my mother, a great movie fan. Had heard stories of Himanshu Roy, Devika Rani, Ashok Kumar, Sahgal, Motilal, Prithvi Raj kapoor and many many more..I grew up in the era when film industry was dominated by Dilip kumar, Raj kapoor and Dev Anand as top three male stars..absolutely loved this series and missed my mom , while watching it, who would have enjoyed it so much and would have told me many more stories of many film stars of her era of forties and fifties and sixties..!!
What an amazing performance by Jamshed khan (Sandhu ) - he could be Bollywood main stream actor
Also when Anupama mam said I laughed out loud when there was this line said Khan nahi chalte nam badalna padega
I would like to add here is that in that era actors needed to change there name because audience was able to connect more to Indian (Hindu names) because it is Hindustan there were many actors like Dilip Kumar Madhubala, Meena kumari, Sanjay khan,Jagdeep, Ajit, and many more who changed there names just to connect through there talent with audience and they were loved they were applauded with there showcasing of art❤ so I guess it’s nothing to laugh because that’s the reality.😊

Wonderful interview and great insight into the creative process. Just three points
1. Music is soul of Jubilee, Amit Trivedi should have been on Dias to share his process and how he connected with the story
2. Mic volume was at different levels for different people, maybe next time we don't want to hear others laughing loudly during someone's talking
3. Aparshakti must work on what he says in such discussion, everyone else made sense as actor he was sounding out of place
Jubilee was a beautiful show…the characters, the set pieces, the acting, the music, the old world charm. Loved it.

With this work Vikramaditya motwane scaled himself as a director to a next level , his vision n passion for cine can be felt clearly and of course Atul sabharwals writing , the ar director or now a day's vfx does a lot in setting up the set , every actor has done their 100 percent from Jamshed khans onscreen makeup man to Nilofar. My favorite is Roy babu and then the screen presence of Jamshed khan , next favorite who steal the show is Khanna and the entertainer especially his dance in the song with kids though he was imitating Shashi Kapoor, n then Yes Nilofar she did a marvelous work with her charachter
I found Aditi RA acting very matured. I also felt majority scenes were of male actors. Females roles could have had more scenes.
In the last episode found Aditi would bring deep expressions on her face.
Her character could have been explored more.
I really like aditi rao dress for this interview too.

Prasenjit Chatterjee did mostly mass-ey movies during the 90s and used to be Bengal's biggest star after Uttam Kumar
.While most of these films were campy and terrible, he is almost single handedly responsible for keeping the industry alive at a time when it was really struggling. He was a single man industry not unlike Rajnikanth. It's good to see he's now able to undertake projects that enable him to highlight his ability as an actor while Dev and Jeet have taken over the mantle of pandering to the masses.
