Shinoharu and Fumika chat on the topic of Oseji and Shakou Jire. Oseji お世辞 and Shakou Jirei 社交辞令 are two words that are used often in Japanese communication. Oseji is an excessive compliment, and Shakou Jirei is an invitation with words where actions do not pursue. A bit difficult, I guess, but Oseji and Shakou Jirei are used for the purpose of maintaining our smooth and peaceful relationships. Do they always work? Maybe not.

Shinoharu, a professional rakugo performer, will be introducing rakugo stories and the charms of rakugo in this program to Fumika, a professional interpreter/translator, who basically has no interest in rakugo nor Shinoharu.
