  • "Kakizome (Japanese Calligraphy)" ~ Japanese traditional comedy in English "RAKUGO" Vol.38
    Kakizome is a common custom in Japan where people write their goals on a piece of paper using Fude (brush) and Sumi (ink) during the New Year season. Shinoharu introduces this tradition and writes down two of his favorite characters "鰻 (Unagi=eel)" and "響 (Hibiki=echo)" + Fumika's name.
    ==========
    Shinoharu, a professional rakugo performer, will be introducing rakugo stories and the charms of rakugo in this program to Fumika, a professional interpreter/translator, who basically has no interest in rakugo nor Shinoharu. The two will be chatting about Japanese culture and tradition in general as well, so even if you're not interested in rakugo, please check it out to know more about Japan.
    Your comments are very welcome.

    I think you shouldn't grind the ink on that part of the inkstone, but the fact that both of you didn't notice made me amused and sad at the same time🤣
