Thank you for your excellent video. My Samsung water filter housing was slightly different (RF28HMEDBSR/AA) but very similar. For the first time in years our water dispenser is working with the filter in place. I did this repair in combination with the fan noise ice build up repair. Now I only need to replace the ice maker. These Samsung refrigerators are modern day Edsels.
THANKS! This worked! I tried everything and couldn't figure it out. New filters, turning water off and I came across this video. I have a slightly different model, (two screws in the very back wall holding the housing on, but all the clips were just as you described. I couldn't get the clear plastic housing on front off, so I just took the whole front housing off with the clear plastic on. It was just fine. Put the new filter in after the repair and great water pressure again! Thanks again, this video really helped. I only broke one clip on the top... LOL

Thanks for the video man. I had the same issue, took it apart and noticed the lower valve was open all the time (had some sort of rock) causing it to lose pressure. Didint have to replace any parts.

HELP! I get water in the door, but no water to the ice maker to make ice. Last water filter I got was after market Not OEM. I get water leaking inside my wide center drawer. What part do I need??? Ron

Hey brother. I have a similar samsung fridge and I think this is the same part that needs to be replaced. Not flowing water.correct and when you take the filter out the pressure plunger in that housing is sticking open. In my case I'll probably have to shut the water off first until I can get that far without water leaking everywhere.
Make sure it’s not your filter sometimes the filters get clogged replace the filter first and then if it’s not the filter go ahead and replace the housing
@@DIYRepairsNowI dkd change the filter amd experienced the same... they were not oem they were the replacement filters from filter fast but never had a problem with them. I think the cause is the plunger sticking inside that filter casing/manifold. Doesn't allow the water to flow to the icemaker amd door dispenser but the plunger is stuck in the open position when I take the filter out.. leaks.. if i give you the model number of my Samsung could you help me find the corresponding part?
I am assuming this is my problem, my ice machine works and despenses ice, but no water comes out
