Outstanding video. Worked great! I did have two variances in procedure with my model of fridge (RFG297AABP).
    1) at 1:52, I didn't have a union. My blue tube coming rom the filter housing went all the way down to the right lower corner and under a grill. After removing the grill, I saw where the tube connects directly to the water inlet valve via a threaded compression fitting. Rather than mess with that (tight quarters) I left it, and cut the blue tubing from the old housing as high as possible so I'd have plenty left. Then I used a plastic push-on compression union to join the blue tube from the new housing with the the existing blue tube. Bonus: if I have to fix this again in the future, I won't have to remove the grill now, just swap to a new push-on fitting!
    2) At 7:59 you show pushing a metal sleeve inside the white tube. When I did that I couldn't get it to screw on to the fitting, and the guy at the big box store I bought the fitting from said I probably wouldn't need to use one with tubing this rigid. He was right. Without it, it fit perfectly. No leaks either.
Thanks again for a great how-to video--it really helped me out!

Great video, too bad the Samsung Refrigerator is not. Nothing but problems with mine and now I have to replicate this video.

Not all models are exactly the same. Also, can describe better about the compression nut assembly. That took a bit of figuring out. Additionally, probable didn’t need the whole assembly. After taking it out, and since only one line was damaged, could have just replaced it… would have only cost about $2.00. Should have mentioned the Sharkbite connectors.

How do I know what compression fitting I'll need for the install?

What would cause this to stop functioning and in need of replacing? Doesn't it just operate off water pressure alone?

    Hello
I replaced the main controlboard on my double door Samsung fridge but then realized after that the water dispenser on the door does not dispense water. I hear the click and motor sound but no water.
Should I replace the waterline assembly as well ?
    Thank you

Thank you. You can disconnect the water line at the bottom of the freezer door and push the button for water (You will want a bucket or bowl handy for this). If water does come out then the line inside the door is frozen up. If you don't get water there then you will need to test for power at the water valve when you push the button. If you have power there and the water valve doesn't let water into the unit then you will need to replace the water valve.

My fridge was not cooling nor freezing so I replaced the main control board. The water dispenser was working prior to the board replacement ..
Would you recommend replacing the water valve and do you carry the particulate model type water valve??
      Thanks again for reaching out!!

If you have power at the water valve and it's not letting water in, then you will need to replace the water valve. The part number is DA62-02360B.
