Wow. The minute he opens Alloy and messes with the transients on the mids of his drums...they go from crap to instant gold. That is the best drum tip i've seen in a long time!
EXTREMELY interesting. I don't think I've seen a better tutorial on just this subject of crafting, carving and beefing to get this kind of modern slamming loops. Thanks a lot for the vid!
FUCK> One of the BEST drum tutorials on TH-cam for electronic musicians. FYI > "Alloy 2" has been discontinued and is now "Neutron" - available on Izotope website Outro tune: Mechanisms - Icicle
Yes at last you guys got a big dnb artist in to do the bizz, nice one guys love these Icicle vids, top quality. I know you already have Doug there but we don't see him enough on this channel. Big up Doug top fella
Everybody hates on overlimiting and digital distortion but only experts like iceman know how to use them tastefully and in a very carefully thought out manner. Respect \m/ P.S- That being said I am not a fan of the whole beats slammed to death race.
Right? I know this comment was made 3 years ago, but hell even skrillex when he showed the inside of one of his new tunes, I saw he very heavily limited vocals and other elements with ridiculous amount of gain / gain reduction. And of course it sounds clean, loud, and amazing. Love it.
hey Icicle thanks for a great tutorial, i have a question for you - from Part-1 you have shown an example of a remix made I think wholly in the Maschine, do you then import audio into Logic, or do Midi multi-out from Maschine? I am still having issues integrating what I created in Maschine into my Bitwig DAW . . .thanks!
