You know a few years ago William Hill had a section alphabetically A-G etc, four sections. You could do combination betting on horses in ANY race at the Festival. That only lasted one season, it was a great offer. Last year I had too many of the Henderson camp that floored me. Constitution Hill I bet during the summer to stay over hurdles, Sir Gino from 12s. You can't win with a losing hand. I was friends with the late Paul Burgoyne. We used to chat on a regular basis, he was some character! Paul in his early career rode out Kinloch Brae who at his peak was the Gold Cup favourite, but for leg trouble he would have won at least two Gold Cups. After raving at Newbury Paul was on Kinloch and another work rider was on Toby Baldings Cesarewich hope. Kinloch had so much class he easily kept up with the flat horse. Then problems happened....a thick fog descended. The "flat jockey" started to panic stating we've gone onto the chase course!!!! Paul dryly said to him "I don't know what you're worried about!". Paul was something else.
I think we saw a couple of potential handicapping rides last week. Golden Ace maybe ridden for a handicap and I wonder if instructions from JP were for a handicapping ride on Inthepocket knowing majborough is going to be his arkle horse and he aims inthepocket at the 2 and a half mile novice. He was keen but restrained in rear all the way and whilst I'm not a jockey it just didn't look like an optimal ride to me. Diva Luna is definitely a mares novice contender. Her and Sainte Lucie are both close to being backed for me but haven't pulled the trigger yet as I can't get on anywhere where sainte lucie is 12s. Did jump right a couple of times but not horribly so, time was OK and clearly wanted to go quicker so very much in my thinking. If she gets an entry before cheltenham I think I'll be backing Impervious for the mares. Noises coming out of the camp are that she's coming along well and she was class before her injury, I agree it's a market with holes in with neither of limerick lace and dinoblue looking great (although dinoblue did look like challenging solness last time out before fading quickly ane had to give weight to enurgemene the time before who on his day is obviously very good so maybe not totally ruled out) and allegorie de vassy being so inconsistent but I'd need to see impervious get an entry before then to take the gamble.

I've been antepost betting since 1969 aged 13. The high rate of non runners is only offset by doing multiple horses on some races. 2020 and 2021 brought 14k and 15k. I tend to select four in doubles, trebles and accum. Last two years have been poor. To be honest you expect the worse when you place a bet on. The nrnb rule is of great help though. Good luck.

Now i've managed to get through the whole video, my two penneth on the 2nd half. Like your list of novice hurdlers, could come in handy. Koktail Divin I'm sure is a bartlett horse. Monty's star and shantreusse both won the grade 3 3 miler at clonmel for henry before going to the bartlett so i'd keep an eye on that one for him. Agree totally with CH being a terrible bet at odds on, i'm not even sure i'd back at that price for him to start the race, nevermind win it. My slight preference is for brighterdaysahead over lossiemouth. Arkle i'd fancy sir gino on any ground to be honest but you're right if he's going to be beat it'll be on heavier going. I think ile atlantique and majborough may be closer than a lot of people think but I've got a bit of 25s and bit of 20s for ile atlantique so i might be biased. We've touched on browns before, i think there are a lot of horses there that might not have much between them so might well beat each other on different days in the spring. You've got some nice tickets there and just have to hope cheltenham is their day. I think ballyburn is a real threat though, think hes short of speed over fences and will be even better over further. Champion Chase i expect the market to fall apart a bit with a lot of the front of the market probably not going there and enurgemene not being the most reliable fitness wise. Ive had a bit of each way money on captain guinness at 50s - 2 poor runs this season but we know henry is only training him for one target and 50s for last year's winner, 2nd the year before and 3rd in the arkle the year before that looks a big price. Henry's a brilliant target trainer for Cheltenham. I think il est francais could potentially jump them silly in a soft ground ryanair so ive got him at 12s. Spillane's Tower could be a threat and banbridge if the ground comes up quick and he goes there but agree surely if he gets his ground at the back end of the week he goes gold cup. Don't hate the heart wood shout but he'll likely have to face a lot of classier types here. Lucky Place keeps improving and i think will improve even more for 3 miles but as you say all about teahupoo really. I've had a bit on langer dan at 33s, spring horse who should be better than his relkeel run in another market where a lot of those on the front end of it definitely won't run here. Triumph I'm not sure we've seen the winner yet. Sauvignon for paul and fou de toi for willie are the two who look to have decent french form and haven't run in britain/ireland yet and ive got a bit on the willie horse from start of the season but not ideal that he hasn't had a run. 8 of last 10 winners of the bartlett have been big prices on the day so whilst i think the yellow clay is made for it and if he goes there will be much shorter on the day i wouldnt be looking at anything under 20/1 for an ante post bet as he could very easily be a beaten fav. Could be one to back and trade out if you're that way inclined but still gambling on him actually going to that race. Koktail Divin at 25s is very tempting but keeping an eye on that clonmel race for him for now. I was very taken by ballygunner castle for something like this as mentioned on previous videos but he's in the moscow flyer so looks unlikely they're looking at 3 miles for him now. Could be a turners bet this week. Skelton for the county looks obvious with valgrand but i don't think we have to get involved this early to get a decent price on him. Galopin is a fair price as you say but not a backable one ante post. I don't see a world where Fact To File turns that form around but assume he'll take his chance with Spillane's tower not having an entry and probably means the others are playing for 3rd. Can't have gerri colombe after what was probably his worst run of his career, wonder what that gold cup last year might have taken out of him as the aintree form from last year isn't looking like grade 1 3 miler form anymore. Embassy Gardens tends to start the season well and be beaten in the spring so can't have him either. You're probably right Monty's Star is the value in the market but it's probably playing for a place only. Supersundae or Bill Joyce for the Martin Pipe are my thoughts, but the latter probably ran well enough in the Challow to justify taking a chance at the turners or the bartlett considering how short the new lion has gone off the back of that. I think you need to back Kaid d’Authie before the price gets any worse 😊. Can you imagine race 1 of the festival if he wins 😊. I loved Workahead in truth. It’s a good betting division at present.
@@Cheltenham-Chat 🤣yea my biggest regret not officially adding him to the team sheet at 50's when I said. The price crashed quick the days after which I wasnt expecting and I dont know, made it clear I love him and I've a bit on and I know a few ramblers have, just he's 12/10's now cant see him much shorter before the drf. By then we'll know a bit more about Mundi and if I fancy him strong before the race I'll add him officially. Lots of choices to make all the time sometimes I make the wrong call.
Yea Workahead very impressive, will be some race the 2m drf.
You think both kaid and kopek going to be going to the supreme ?
Surely one goes to one and the other somehweeee else
@NolzyComedy its so hard to say before their next runs, that should tell us what we need to know but if I were to guess right now I'd say Kaid supreme and kopek ballymore based on his jumping
@@smoking_cheltenhamthankyou
@@smoking_cheltenham Kel histories for Supreme ye ?

A nice ew trixie and ew treble ( boosted from 1364 /1 to 2046/1) I've had...
@@russellstanton7583 nice bet Russell good luck.
Might as well set fire to your cash
@JL-nk1pc ....I heard that about Putthekettleon16/1, Sire De Grugy 16/1 , Captain Guiness 20/1, Majborough 16/1 to name but a few.
Had 9/10 winning festivals so I'll take your input with a pinch of salt at this stage.
What are your fancies ? I'm in competition with the bookies ,not other punters.
@russellstanton7583 we can all after time
@JL-nk1pc ....yeah but I'm saying mine now ? 🤔
The good ..
Sir Gino 7/1 Arkle
Con Hill 7/2 Champ Hurdle
Hello Neighbour 12/1 Triumph
The Big Westerner 33/1 A Bartlett
Galopin DC 4/1 Gold Cup
L'Homme Press 20/1 Ryanair
And the 💩
Fastorslow 25/1(injured)
Majborough 16/1( wrong race - Brown's)
Regent's Stroll (and he has)
Willy De Houelle ( just 🩲)
No bullshitter me ....
That was a flask job. Considering there was only 2 races at the weekend. Ile atlantique you might not see him until Cheltenham I think. I’m with your thinking that the yellow clay is a Bartlett horse. Keep the videos coming 🐎❤️🐎
@@peterseymar7189 🤣yea sorry mate went on some ramble there.
You give your option on what’s happened and you give your opinion on what might happen. Today it was more on what might happen. I think the majority want what might happen the most🐎❤️🐎
When you say “bit of change on it?”, you must have 100s of these? 😅
Haha yeah...what's change to you Steve...to me it's ten bob....is it a tenner in your world?? 😂
@The_Cheltenham_Bandit I'm pretty sure Steve plays to £25 a point so a bit of change is probably less than half of that or he'd likely start speaking about half points. I might be wrong though!
@@manuvere1986 lol, not hundreds but yea I've had quite a few but they tend to be with 365 and half of them get cashed out again. Backed 4 for the bumper and cashed them all back out again🤣.
Only by night for me
