Great video, impressed with the amount of pubs you got round! Glad you got to experience the Jolly Brew, its our favourite! Next time you are down, look out for Planet Caravan, not your classic pub but a real gem of Cheltenham and a very large line up of all sorts of beverages!
We stayed there a couple of years and ago and were surprised that hardly any pubs sold Deya beer, it's brewed there and they produce some of the best craft beers in the UK
in the 80's used go down there for the racing, (from Yorkshire) remember the Swan had it's own brewery behind those double gates long before micro breweries were a thing ( correct me if I'm wrong) but what I remember most is going into the Old Restoration and buying a pint of John Smith's Yorkshire Bitter (as stated on the badge) and protesting loudly "That's never seen Yorkshire" apparently was brewed under licence by Adnams! Also remember Flowers was a local brewery, if anyone can confirm please do. Also was there an Indian Restaurant called Eurasia or something and also a pub called Britannia where the landlord used to wear some colourful braces.
A nice comprehensive tour of this town and I'm glad most places were open and had good beer! Montpellier is so called because that French town was once a byword for healthy and smart living.
I used to live in Cheltenham and miss it very much, really enjoyed the video thank you! It is really spoilt for choice for absolutely great pubs. If you head out of town along Bath Rd for the Bell there are plenty of good ones - The 5 Alls, The Exmouth and The Brown Jug. Somerset Arms, tucked away down a side street is brilliant too, used to be my local 👍👍
❤ Cheltenham, one of my old stomping grounds, when I lived in the South West. Whitbread Flowers brewery in the town closed in 1999.You should give the much maligned Swindon a visit. Some decent places if you dig down deep enough.
Ahh dude, you were literally 100 yards away from the best little craft beer bar in Cheltenham when you were in Wetherspoons!! It’s called Planet Caravan. Maybe next time.
Great video, great pubs, I've tried to find the petition for the Bell Inn and I can't find it, if you've got a direct link can you add it either here or to video description, I'm sure this will help get more traffic and more signatures to help the cause.
I can't work out how to share a direct link to the post mate... so I've shared it again onto our facebook story... the QR code thing for making an objection to the council is on there. facebook.com/@TheGreatBritishPubCrawl
I hope they can save the Bell Inn, fantastic that the Landlord has been there for that length of time. I have signed petition it took no time, so I would urge everyone to do the same.

We always do a pub crawl down Bath Road on Gold Cup day. Different pub every race
The Brewery Quarter is so called because it's on the site of the old Flowers Brewery.

Come to Salford and do Eccles, mate. It's got everything.
