Was devastated on Friday night doing a pj and realised you had uploaded! Coulda thrown my flask at the nearest passer by! You have made up for it today. Merry Christmas Steve, thanks for the videos, and from a person who has appeared on social media platforms and in the news several times due to my ante post bets for Cheltenham. with what you look for and your angles, you sir are one of the best ante post podcasters on here.
Top show as per usual if CH is 100% he chews up and spit’s out Lossiemouth at kempton Cheltenham or Southport beach. If there’s no rain I’m all over Banbridge. With the colour of the wife’s hat I 56:59 assume she’s a geordie give my regards to all your family as without them we not got you. Merry Christmas keep the videos coming 🐎❤️🐎
Merry Xmas Steve, new follower to your channel this season and love your honesty and rambles, keep up the good work. Hope u did eventually managed to do kaid d'authie antepost for supreme. Got kainsbourg aswell for supreme myself at 40s a month ago , whose also running tomorrow. Also be looking forward for ya 3 part special covering all the Xmas races 😂😉, can't wait for that few hours content, so much to cover mate
Cheers mate appreciate that. Yea I did have a bit of change on Kaid d'authie at 50's Supreme the day after he ran, really like him will follow him with interest. It is difficult antepost with the novices but rewarding if you can find the right one early, having cashout helps with the more speculative ones. Yea some racing this week, definitely a 2 flask job Monday. Best of luck mate and hope you're having a great Xmas.
Merry Christmas Steve, great video. Really keen on a few. Will put video up tomorrow but very very keen on Spillanes Tower. Doing Connel’s against Percival legallois. Hope you and the family have a great Christmas and very best wishes for 2025.
Cheers Mark appreciate that. Will watch your video tomorrow with interest. Spillanes must have a great chance hopefully he'll get it done and if we can win that hcp between us I'd say we've done well lol. Merry Christmas mate and good luck
Not sure if you missed Kaid d'Authie is entered in that Savills maiden hurdle on Saturday over 2 and a half. I know he's one you wanted to keep an eye on. I agree with most of your takes on the others. Constitution Hill tempts me because I think if he's anywhere near his best he beats lossiemouth and I don't think nicky would run him if he's not close to that. Some fascinating racing to look forward to. Would be amazed if sir gino and ballyburn meet in that Wayward Lad but some of the others could happen. A few interesting entries in the Challow at Newbury on Saturday as well which you didn't look at. Assume the Irish ones won't come over but should shape the UK novices up with the New Lion, Regents Stroll, Potters Charm and Bill Joyce in there (Potters Charm maybe goes at Aintree on Boxing Day though).
@@adking18 yea he's had a few entries this week just that one left now. Will be following him closely anyway I do like him. Yea can see where you're coming from with con hill, I dont know with him, he's got to run him sometime but yea if he's like he was before he just wins. Yea should be good mate, does look a good race that challow just missed it skipping through and a few good Limerick races too. Merry christmas mate and good luck
i've broken my number 1 rule for a very very long time, better days ahead at 9/4 and fact to file at 7/4 did 1 point win double. i missed rainy night in georgia in that mc loven race, had kerdos and believing form, crazy how i missed that.. was 66/1 that was all the value
@@Boratshermedey merry christmas and good luck mate, not a bad 8/1 or so bet that, as the odds suggest the dbls dont come in all that often but when they do its a great bet! I dont mind them sometimes and if the 1st one lands it gives you options. Big chances those.
@@smoking_cheltenham likewise merry christmas, can't bring myself to back anything under 3/1 on the single and i only double if strong.. broken 2 of my main rules, but it is christmas so i stuck 1 point on. 1st rule is no favs and second rule is nothing under 3/1 and i've broken both, but i cant see these getting beat, gallopin loves the track and the distance, but i think it's time for the younger legs.. no horse has continued to pull up the hill and beyond the last fence when the race is over, but fact to file did :) and just the way emit talks of this horse..
@@smoking_cheltenham also i would prefer an 8/1 shot than what johnny the mug dineen tipped a 8/13 down mexicoway.. bookies dream he is.. biggest public mug going.. notable mentions panda boy i also might bet. i backed him for the national at 40/1 went off 10's i think, he owes me a few points so i might give him another shot now the others gone up quite a bit of weight, release the beast, some scope, would of been bets but they too short, release the beast i'd of liked more near 4/1-5/1 and some scope should be the fav and i think he's prob still value at 7/2 but it's marginal, so i left it
@Boratshermedey yea I like him for the entertainment value and agree with plenty of his views but for an ex-bookie his grasp of value is questionable with some of his selections. @The_Cheltenham_Bandit yes it is and so is Nicky. Personally I thought after the race that although she's lost the battle she'd win the war. I think that was a bit of a shock to Lossie running at 2m at that pace against those horses. She'll learn plenty from that, I think with the hill and some dig in the ground she can turn that around. He has to get there in this form too which is far from a given. All good fun though and we'll see in March
@@smoking_cheltenham agree with a lot you say Steve, and it's a great game, we need opinions, but you have got to re watch, listen to Nico and re-evaluate, hoping you've had a boxing day bump on the head haha 'stick it as Nico says all on the champ Sir Constitution Hill. All the best mate. Great day which would have been a lot better if it's on the line would have won.
After Lossiemouth and Ballyburn run at Kempton Willie Mullins shall be regarded as a genius or a foolish trainer. He said he'd never take on Constitution Hill at Kempton before Cheltenham. The mystery of Cheltenham would be taken away if one horse wins decisively. Then he was going to split up Fact To File and Galopin Des Champs before the Gold Cup. The next few days should be intriguing.
😂I dont know if he'll be regarded as foolish, I think Lossie has to run somewhere and makes sense to split her and State Man and from his point of view I think he wants to find out if he should be aiming at the Arkle with Ballyburn or go out in trip, dont think winning the G1 Limerick race would tell him much. Not all about winning at Xmas I'd say, they have big chances but if they're beat then he'll learn plenty about them in defeat and shuffle his pack accordingly for Cheltenham. As regards the Savills dont think that was Willie's call, he'd have prefered to keep his big 2 apart but JP's boys dictate where their horses go, think you'd have to run Galopin considering how he won the race last year. Brilliant for racing fans though, some fantastic clashes to see over the Festive period. Enjoy mate and best of luck to you.
