Delivery apps is actually the pinnacle of luxury, that's why it costs the most. You're paying for food that's supposed to be served at a restaurant and eating it in the comfort of your own home.
Right only if the restaurant is close to you, otherwise cold or barely warm food gets delivered, not saying it always the case but mostly. My point of saying all this is they don't have or don't come up with something that would keep the food at optimum temperature by the time its delivered so you feel satisfied paying the extra money .
I had to use delivery apps to have groceries and food delivered when I had Covid and was alone. If I ever think of using an app now, just putting the items in the cart and seeing the price dissuades me from ever considering it.
I've noticed, not just with delivery apps, but any purchases online - that i'm always a few dollars short of that reward or free shipping. I'm pretty sure the price points are very carefully and strategically planned out.
I've never been a huge fan of delivery and its never felt worth it. Food is expensive, cold, and late. Not to mention it takes a fraction of the time to actually go and buy your own food. The ultimate convenience is relying on your own time.
They prey on people's inability to check prices and do basic math. There's some jobs where you can't leave for a meal like a security guard, but you could've also just packed a sandwich.
I actually speaking have blacklisted all food delivery apps and I will call the restaurant directly and they don't have an actual delivery driver I will not use delivery
I've not once used any of this delivery service...I buy groceries and cook at home. If I want something from a restaurant, I'll go there in person. Young people are poor because of convenience...

Besides paying more, the food isn’t good by the time you get it. It’s all soggy and by then.
