    As usual, a very solid video with good explanations for everything you do, and it looks really realistic. It's actually a good base for worldbuilding to study cities built per seasons, thanks a lot for your hard work!

    Because I didn't notice you build them in the video, in order for the Fire Helicopter station to work, you must place Fire Watchtowers in your region. those towers are what notify the fire helicopters.

      I believe he built one in the episode he developed the "highlands" residential area. He found he neat spot on the cliff with a great view of all the surrounding areas

      @@captainmadpat7632 I dont believe he built the actual firehouse one. I think it was just the scenic one that he built.

    I normally have a lot of issues with public transport, this video has really taught me a lot! I recommend that when you get to the denser part of the city, instead of buses you can use trams as the local bus lines and monorails as the long distance bus lines

    Loving the way this City is turning out!
    Its no surprise that the City line is that efficient, considering the only alternative for residents to get to "Prospek" is through your highway system. However, considering the location of your current residentials, I believe there is very little incentive to take the train in order to get into the Industrial zones unless you are coming from "Prospek" town. Every other residential area has a much better connection to get to industry through roads, busses, ferry and walking. I´d be surprised if any of the sims "living" in "Tadema" would take the City line to swap to industry line to get to the farmlands.
    I am curious to see where you will place your high density Residential areas since the location for the Train and Bus HUB´s is not particularly central especially if you are planning to develop the coastal area as you mentioned in this video.
    Keep it up!

    Hey man, maybe that train line on industry area wasn't that efficient because you didn't provide them with local bus line? So the cims didn't feel particularly want to ride the train? Anw that's just my train of thought (badumtss), it's very cool looking city now man!

    • @T4rgetGaming
      @T4rgetGaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did add a dedicated bus line for the oil industry connecting directly to the train, but it had 14% car trips saved, so it wasn't worth it. It also didn't improve the train line's usability.

  • @flesby
    @flesby 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi T4rget, to optimize the railroad further, you could buid a tunnel to the right of the cargo station of the oil industry compley taking a little load to the rails coming down the slope and reconnect it on the other side of the mountain.

    Love the content. I've been following along and building my own city. Can you show what your traffic % is? Mine is around 85%, and most of the congestion is around the oil industry connection with the highway. Does your city have the same issue? If not, how did you solve it?

    • @two2truths
      @two2truths 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      85% is absolutely awesome if you have a large population, and without mods, nothing to worry about unless you find some nice little tweeks to make here and there

    You've obviously got the money to do it, but for 20k residents, this is a heavily overbuilt transit system. In real life it would be adequate to serve a city of 200k, not 20k. Personally, I prefer to see how big a city can get with only a well designed road network plus walking and biking paths.

  • @axelwiren337

    You forgot to mention that the number of buses highly affects the traffic flow in the city since buses are bigger and also take up more space generally in the roads, with bus stops blocking traffic and so on. In some areas, and even in some whole cities buses are simply not an option.
