Thanks for a super demo video James ! I was thinking about buying one of these but after watching your video it's now a definite gonna' buy one ! You are a great ambassador for Gretsch so making it easy to consider buying one. Thanks again James. Best wishes from Eddie - over the pond in the good old UK.
Man it's gorgeous. I have a 5222 & a 2655p90 Gretsch best value on the market & great fun to play. Would love to hear it rip up some of southern rock like Marshall Tucker or Allmans ☺️ 👍👍
How was it? Im confused on this one or pulling out with electromatic. It's 200 Euros more but with better electronic pots they say. Changing pots on a semi hallow is a hassle. But what can you say so far?
@@Benson.BereTV I love It. You can’t beat the quality you get for this price. I own two Gretch guitars and love them both. I mostly play for myself. Blues and Jazz. It’s great for my needs. I don’t know why anyone would ever need to spend more for another guitar. This guitar is plenty.
thinking about getting this guitar but i play ccm as my main thing and my overall tonal preference is brighter so are there pickups that are good for that? or are semi hollows just generally dark?
G2622T Streamliner's come with BT 2S pickups hasn't got a coil split and the inlays are in the middle of the neck...somethings not right here surly if Gretsch up-graded them they would have had some change to the model # designation , love 'em had mine for nearly 3yrs.
This is a new version of the G2622T that has the BT-3S pickups. - www.gretschguitars.com/gear/build/center-block/g2622t-streamliner-center-block-double-cut-with-bigsby/2807250530
@@glenndavis479 I actually had the same thought after checking mine for coil tapping. Turns out mine is also the previous model with 2S pickups. Probably should have done my research aswell 😁 Still not sure if I would use the tap anyway as you can get some amazing spank and twang out of the toasters as is.

That color 😍
It's a beautiful color!
@@tarpley-music Do they make a left handed version?
@@Bronco2Cj They do for the g2622, but not the g2622t
Finally I see a video about these. Noticed when I saw them released for pre order on the website and have been on the lookout for videos since then.
what a great review. Nice work James, appreciate the amount of time you put into this overview!
Thank you for the commentary and playing. What a beautiful guitar that also sounds nice. All the best.
I bought this exact guitar a few weeks ago . The neck's wonderful , sounds great and it's gorgeous . Stays in tune way better than I expected too .
GREAT REVIEW!
Nice video. For $600, you get a lot of guitar. We have had ours for around a month, sounds great thru the fender tube amp. 🐊👍
Thanks a lot. Great review. Great playing also!

Awesome demo! Love the Gretsch line…. trying to decide on the model.
Just bought one based on this demo. Same color. Thanks.
what approx does this guitar weigh. I have a bad back and am looking for something comfortable to play sitting down.
Received mine today. What a beauty.

I literally forgot I was watching a video by getting distracted and didn't notice cause the jam vibes were too solid thought i put on some music
Humbling thank you!
Do you think about reviewing the new g2655 or g2655t as well?
Nice color
I think so too!
I got one of these today, my wife has competition now
Is it worth it to upgrade to electromatic?
Finally found my guitar. THANKS!
That's my baby.
😍😍😍😍
Can you tell if the magnets are alnico or ceramic? Great demo by the way.
The new BT-3S are a mix of Alnico II/Alnico V side by side in each pickup.
Bonjour est elle bonne pour le fingers picking .a t'elle le son comme chet atkins.patrick

Hello. Please research. :) new ones come with BT3s. Thank you!

I also have it but sadly it’s just color blue available that time… 🫤
