Wow, you are more of a local than all of us. I will do my best to keep it as amazing as it is.
Nice session, waves like jelly. For a sec I thought you scored Brighton (Vic)!
Thanks dude this video has suggested my video and has gotten around fifty viewers from it ❤
you have a great knack for making complex topics fun! ♂️
what mid length do you think i should get if im 5’11? im trying to transition from a soft top to something shorter so wanted to ask for your advice since you’re more experienced than i am
Depends on your weight also , but if you're pretty fit maybe a
6'9 with plenty of volume not a pointed nose style traditional shortboard but a more rounded nose , will be easier to catch waves and not such a big step from a foam board (if the board was around 8ft).
Saying all that if you're light and young you can get away with a smaller board but I'd make sure it has a lot of volume for paddling and catching waves. (Also I'd look in the 2nd market or look for sellers that may let you try it out before you buy).
One more thing , if you're on the heavy side around a 7'8 mini Mal might be something you'd get along with. Hope this helps
Good luck
yeah mate good job, i reckon you get a fish, which is in between a high performance short board and a long board, it gives you the volume of a longboard with the turning ability of a short board. I would recommend a 6 foot fish, seeing as you are 5.11. thanks for the question mate
hey, im just trying to figure out how i find out what length of a surfboard i need and how much literage/litres i need before i buy one would you be able to help at all?
I started at around an 8 foot longboard, the bigger the board the better the stability which will help you learn how to catch waves and will help you paddle out into the waves easier. Have fun!
@@Dxvfn @SkyzaAU yeah that’s exactly what i would recommend, something that makes it easy to paddle onto waves and learn the basics, there’s nothing worse than having an under volumed board when you’re starting out, something like a soft light or catch surf foam board would be great for starting out, and as you said 6 to 8 foot with 40 to 50 litres would be perfect.
@@Dxvfn thx how but also how would I know what performance short board I would need in the future?
@@CooperStandring Don't go straight from a foamie to a shortboard.
Foamie -> Longboard (optional) -> Midlength -> Groveller -> Shortboard (only if you get hollow waves often)
where is this place??
How do you keep your wax glued to a black board?
