GGs brother. In the Jewel match, I had the blue card, but wanted to bury you with Force on Tinker that I also knew about. If I brick on draw3, I can lose to Tinker in that spot. I had incredible working conditions, so the priority was to reduce risk as much as possible
Beating your friend on Oath is easy. The trick is: 1) Play Dredge 2) Win game 1 3) Pretend to take an emergency call and leave 4) Brag all year about how you would have won one of the other two games
I actually find the matchup pretty manageable- 4 force of vigor 4 grief make it at least around 50% postboard, and some dedicated hate makes it easier.
34:03 I think it's best to boseiju the bazaar here? If they activate in response it turns on trap, and if they just slow dredge trap will still be on. So you don't actually need to fade the chills here, you've got it covered either way.
I started watching vintage around 18 months ago on your channels and only ever say Bazaar decks mull to oblivion & die. I have never been more terrified of Bazaar
Lol, I thought like 5 bosh videos ago to leave a comment wondering if Into the Flood Maw was playable in Oath sideboards. Happy I'll get to see it put through its paces here.
Great gameplay! One thing I have heavily considered is tabs in oath. They are clearly buying you extra time Vs dredge, with the downside of leaving slow dredge, chill, ichorids on the table. To me the tiebreaker issue is the interaction with oath. They effectively dead what should be your 4 best cards in the deck, which feels unacceptable when ravtrap, crypt, et al are so effective at disrupting the dredge plan.
The six with DT you kept against Jewel had Citadel in the opener. I wonder if the correct line there was to shove Atraxa back in the deck and ShowNTell Citadel off the Lotus tutor to try and vomit?
I’ve watched all your Oath videos you’ve put up in the last year. But never played Vintage or followed it beyond that. Has dredge always been this good? I don’t remember seeing it in previous videos
There were other Bazaar decks that were doing better than Dredge over the last year, but meta considerations and new printings and restrictions have moved Dredge back to the preferred Bazaar deck. It's always good though.
So for the line at 33:11, when you are debating between when to use Boseiju vs Ravenous trap, would just using Boseiju and forcing the Bazaar activation still be fine? You won't have enough mana for the hard cast Ravenous but after Bazaar dredges a bunch it will be able to be played for free in response to the Creeping Chill triggers? Anyways love the vintage content despite having never played it myself ❤ Edit: Ok wait actually they could have just not activated Bazaar at all, and then instead just gone to upkeep and killed you with Ichorid I think? Very cool lines either way!
He wasn’t saying that Sphinx isn’t worth a sideboard slot at all, merely that it might not be worth siding in against Mono White anymore because of how many Disenchants are built into the deck. Sphinx is still a strong monster against Dredge, Hollowvine, and Bug decks that can have a hard time removing it or attacking through it and it gives you another threat to deploy in the matchups where it’s good.
I remember that last year, oath mirrors were about Oko. I thought there were more Oko in the board previously-does Oko just line up worse against the format now?
You could have won that game 3 vs dredge, you didn’t cast the trap for free, so you couldn’t kill the bazar with bosejiu gave him 2 extra draws, and basically 3 cause that’s like a time walk he missed the chills with 3 draws, and got the 2nd bazar in those draws which gave him and other 2 extra draws. You could have put down oath kill the bazar, next turn still kept up force though I really don’t see any reason for it cause he’s not casting anything but counters so it’s only to protect you’re spells. So then you cast atraxa and be had less draws probably give you one more turn you get an oath trigger swing with atraxa gain life and that’s the win yeah if it got you an extra turn you’ll win.

It's really cool how different these 5 decks are, Vintage seems really healthy in its own crazy way

I woke up yesterday thinking it was Monday. Been a long 24 hours waiting for my morning fix of MTG awesomeness provided by BoshNRoll.

For too long have I waited in the dark recesses of the earth for a vintage video. At last I emerge into the blinding light.
Great content!
The Cardtrader AD got me rolled up, well done.

Always enjoy these collab vids. Glad we could break the curse in round 1
37:12 Had me shook and laughing 😆
Hahaha me too. I watch these videos for those kinds of reactions. Perfection
I'm playing oath this weekend at a local vintage event. Going to be trying Valgavoth in place of one of the Atraxas.
Some great matches! Best of luck at eternal day to the both of ya
Are deck lists for opponent's configurations available? EDIT: From ecobaronenMTG's perspective! th-cam.com/video/4USc2MbP0mw/w-d-xo.html

Vintage is the one true form of MTG.

Dredge really couldn't beat vexing bauble, so the deck was sorta dead for a little while while you could play 4 bauble

Dredge ripping Bazaar off the top feels so dirty
U owe him a lotus now
Nah, I'm only after Brian's pride. Lotus he can keep
If you dont like sphinx in the sideboard cuz its destroyed by witch enchanter would that be replaced by blightsteel or something entirely different

Was boarding out a land or the gaea's blessing the play at any point?

you come to Prag ? 😮
he is probably reffering to the one in Pittsburgh
@@felixwolff8382 🥲 okei thanks
He said in the start he's going to Prague
I was wondering when Vintage would return :)
bosh pack smoke em if you got em
26:00 if you were trying to play to the show and tell would it have been worth it to fluster the grief?
Unfortunately, mtgo doesn't let you make illegal plays hoping that your opponent doesn't realize they're illegal
Hi
